Good Spot for a Short Stay

This was a nice spot for a short stay. We had a good time with easy access to everything in Montrèal. There is limited parking on the street but a block away is a paid lot. Has restaurants and cafes within walking distance.

Great stay during conference trip

Dominic communicated very well and the property was exactly as described and what i needed - very practical apartment in quiet leafy street in lovely Rosemont, super close to metro. Strong recommend!

A lovely quiet place to stay

Other reviewers have highlighted how friendly and helpful Dominic was but I came in quite introverted and self-sufficient and was delighted by how effectively Dominic sized up the situation and gave me space and freedom. This genuinely was a lovely place to stay in a nice and convenient neighborhood of Montreal.

This place is clean and about 10 min by metro to downtown or old town Montreal. It is exactly as shown in the pictures. The neighborhood is lively and we get to see more residential aspect of Montreal. Overall we had a pleasant stay.

Worked for us

On a very quiet street 350 meters from Rosemont Metro. We had a great time exploring the area. Seemed well-equipped in the kitchen. Being a basement apartment, it doesn't have porch/patio/balcony amenities, but that's OK. Just don't go there expecting that. The laundry machines were shared with the owner. A little unexpected, but nice that we didn't have to go out and purchase detergent. Overall, we were very happy with the property, as reflected by my high ratings. Clean and well-described in the photos. We had to contact the owner once during our stay and his response was immediate.

Great Stay Overall with a Few Notes for Improvement

Overall, this property was great! It was mostly clean, very spacious, and a highly comfortable setup. The host was helpful and kind. The location was a 6 min. walk to a subway station. Some notes for improvement: At least to us, it was not made clear in advance that we would be staying in the basement part of the property. For this reason, we were panicked when we arrived that we had the wrong address. Also, it smelled very moldy (probably due to it being in a basement). There was also a lot of visible mold on the shower handle. It also would have been nice if there was hand soap already in the bathroom (we bought our own).

Just what we needed

My son and I needed a quiet place to sleep for 5 nights close to the Metro, to charge our phones, use the wi-fi and fridge, and take a shower. It checked all those boxes well. If you're looking for an affordable, clean, convenient efficiency just a couple block walk to the Metro, and don't care if the sheets and pillows don't match or that the shower is small, or that it's in a basement (with windows), this is a good choice. If you're picky go find a fancy expensive hotel instead. It's tastefully updated, the bed is comfortable, the futon not as much but it was ok for my 18yo son. Everything worked as it should. We didn't see a washer/dryer but didn't need it so didn't ask. I found free parking in the street right away. It's in a residential urban neighborhood but it felt safe, even at night. There was a little noise late at night a few times from people talking in the street, but brief and not an issue for us - we left the windows open the whole stay. Restaurants and bars are within a few blocks and it's a very walkable area. This unit is a separate space from the unit above, and locks so no one else can enter. The host is friendly and very responsive and lives in the unit above. Check in was simple, the key was in a lockbox. If we go back next year we would stay here again. We had a GREAT time in Montreal.

Cute place a bit dark and noisy at times

The accommodation is rather central and Dominic is very proactive and quick with the communication. The place itself is in a basement and lighting is quite low during the day. Also it gets quite noisy from the road (as the windows are literally at ground level), so you'll hear anything that moves outside. Otherwise the accommodation is quite cute and cozy. Good size for a couple and almost everything for staying there short-mid term.

Bon endroit pour passer quelques jours à Montréal

L'endroit correspond aux informations indiqués. L'appartement est propre, calme. Très bonne literie. Notez que c'est en demi sous-sol donc un peu sombre. A mon goût, il manque un peu de vaisselle/casseroles etc.

Situé à 5 mins à pied de la station de métro Rosemont. Location propre. Hôte disponible et sympathique. Notre avion atterrissant tôt, nous avons pu prendre notre logement 2h avant l heure indiquée. Très appréciable après un vol et le décalage horaire

Clean enough for a basement studio - entrance and outdoor stairs quite dangerous and dirty - the worst : the owner is so noisy ! He made noise until 4 am on the first night and till 1 am on the second. When we asked for silent he was so unpleasant… Le studio est dans un sous-sol assez propre mais l’entrée et les escaliers extérieurs sont sales et dangereux. Le pire c’est le proprio qui partage en fait son sous-sol, on est donc un peu dans son appart (on peut d’ailleurs y accéder de l’intérieur). Il a fait du bruit jusqu’à 4 heures du mat le 1er soir et 1 h le 2eme et quand on lui a demandé de faire moins de bruit, il a pris un air dédaigneux pour nous dire qu’il allait continué… effectivement.
