porch area for your enjoyment Access to using the pool and jacuzzi and kayaks and bikes are available. Lots of great areas to ride bikes right outside your door....as well as wonderful biking and hiking trails near by Fishing right outside your door on the private lake.

The host was very nice and responsive if I had questions or what not. The place was immaculately clean. The property was beautiful and full of beautiful palm trees. I seen plenty of fish large and small in their lake, (I didn’t fish, but enjoyed watching them). The pool was fantastic. Quiet and serene spot. I stayed for the week of Christmas and the host gave us a Christmas present and had a mini tree in our spot which was really cute and thoughtful. I’d recommend staying here if you’re looking to stay in the area. We absolutely loved our time. Place was great.

Very nice stay

The pool was lovely, as were the views. The unit was a bit smaller than I expected, and the stairs - while doable for me - were not ideal. A younger person would be fine. Also, bring kleenex, soap and paper towels. There's shower gel, but no soap. Coffeemaker is a Kuereg, so don't buy coffee and filters. The owner was lovely; the setting is gorgeous. Overall, it was very nice.

A little slice of paradise

Lakeside Tranquility definitely fits this cozy place for two. Perfect for couples or single travelers who want that feeling of being away from it all. My husband & I had the most relaxing stay at the Lakeside Tranquility apartment. The grounds are beautiful & lush with foliage. Your balcony overlooks a beautiful lake & pool area. The space is new & nicely decorated with a well equipped kitchen, nice sized bathroom & comfy king bed with the softest sheets. The owners are friendly, gracious & definitely dog lovers. Communication was easy because they live on the property. It's easy to get to the beach, dining & shopping. Several nice golf courses in the area, as well. Also a great dog park near Vero Beach. We had a lovely stay & would definitely come back again. Thanks Kim & Rick for everything!

Things to Know before You Go

While the unit is clean, be aware of a few issues: The "laundry" does not include a washer or dryer. The"full" kitchen does not include an oven as was listed. If you are considering warming leftovers or baking a pizza, you will have to improvise. Internet service is weak. The pool looks lovely, but there is no beach as listed. Plus aligators do like fresh water lakes, so a lake beach might be risky. We were not visiting the area to sit in front of a tv, but the owner's son finally was able to set the system so we could watch a couple of live shows we enjoy. Many nearby properties are posted as no trespassing, so we never walked around the lakes. Instead, we found several places within a 10-30 minute drive where we could enjoy wildlife and bird watching. A few additions to the welcome book might address trash and recycling, tv tips, etc.

Gem of a place that is gorgeous

The guest apartment was such a great place to get my needed rest and relaxation. The property is so much more beautiful than pictures can show. The paths, trees, pool, grounds are another world . The lake is so nice too with fish, turtles and birds! The neighborhood is also very unique. It’s close to pretty much everything which is also great. It’s like an oasis in the middle of a regular community. Kim and Rick are fabulous hosts. They welcomed me and my dog like an old friend. It was very easy to enjoy the pool and grounds in privacy. The apartment itself is not large but laid out so intelligently that you feel like there is a good amount of room. The bathroom is large as well. There’s pretty much a full kitchen. I was able to cook some dishes and store my food with no problems. The dishwasher was brand new and everything you need for kitchen accessories were there.It was clean, cool and nicely updated. There is a balcony you can sit out on that overlooks the pool and lake. Very pretty. I have zero complaints and only praise. I now have a beautiful place to escape to in the future with my dog. Thank you Kim and Rick!

Pluses and minuses

Some aspects are outstanding, others need some improvement.Built into a large garage, located right next to the owners' house. Entrance on first floor gives access to a staircase leading to the dwelling.Pluses:Set back from the community and quiet in the morning. View of the lake and pool adjoining the owner's house is lovely. Very comfortable bed. Recent air-conditioning in the bedroom and is silent. Place was clean when we arrived. Owners are charming and quick to arrive with solutions. Rental adequate for short stays.Minuses:The air-conditioning unit failed to remove the humidity. Temperature was just right, but clothes and towels remained damp. Since rental doesn't have a tumble dryer, this is a problem to be solved.Kitchen is small & no counter space. No living room, just a passageway with two chairs and a small TV.Stove fan doesn't work, doesn't help eliminate odors/humidity. Bathroom has no fan to remove moisture. Premature signs of wear associated with humidity are apparent in the bathroom, despite the fact that it was clean.The location is in a straight line 4 air miles with the regional airport. Didn't notice any planes in the early morning. However, as the day progresses, the planes become more frequent.Cellular coverage works, but with minimal signal. Sometimes we had to go out on the balcony to get good coverage. Wi-Fi coverage could be improved.

Very nice couple and nice apartment next to the main house. Provided bikes for two people to ride which we enjoyed. Had some very good meals in town but around 15 minutes or more drive to most places to eat and the beach.

Off the beaten beach/ocean path, a short east drive gets you there! In VB for a wedding as a guest for the long weekend and this charming new guest house was good for us. Spacious and clean. Double ck use of the pool /hot tub pictured in the listing - Not available on the weekend as far as I could tell. Be sure to visit the Walking Tree Brewery as recommended in the Welcome notes.

Scenic, lush retreat within reach of Vero Beach

The pool with hot tub and waterfall are gorgeous and the hosts are very accomodating about making them available. We felt like we are on vacation at a destination resort - all to ourselves.
