Play. Relax. Repeat...at the Doublejack Guesthouse!

Taking its name from the mining term to describe a two-man rock drilling team, the Doublejack Guesthouse is perched hillside in the heart of Old Bisbee, just southeast of Tucson, Arizona. This guesthouse offers dramatic panoramic views of historic downtown Bisbee and Mexico.

Built in 1895, before Arizona even became a state, this fully restored and charming one-bedroom miner’s cottage is located along an old mule path turned staircase above street-level public parking – accessible via just enough stairs to feel healthy! Walk to fine dining, arts, museums, galleries, evening entertainment, and historic attractions; watch great birding; access hiking trails right above the house; and relax and enjoy gorgeous sunsets and stargazing from your private deck.

The Doublejack Guesthouse offers king-sized bed accommodations, a fully equipped kitchen, standard-size refrigerator with ice maker, central air conditioning and heating, claw foot bathtub & walk-in double shower, flat screen monitor with DVD/VCR player, movie library, iPod docking station with radio and CD player, wireless high speed Internet (WI-FI), and complimentary locally roasted coffee and fixings for breakfast.

About Bob Klein

Tucson Magazine named Bisbee, Arizona “Best Place to Get out of Town” for 2009, but we discovered this charming historical mining town on a road trip years ago. It was late afternoon and the sun was just setting on the red-colored mountains that surround Bisbee when we drove into town for the very first time. It was like we were looking at a picture-perfect postcard! One year later we came back for a second visit and it was during this visit that we bought a 100-year-old boarding house (which we made into our home) and the 110-year-old miner's cottage (now the Doublejack Guesthouse) next door. We love it here! Your hosts, Jeff & Bob.

Why Bob Klein chose Bisbee

Bisbee is a friendly and accepting community which offers everything from fine dining to old-west saloons, mining history, Victorian architecture, great hiking and world-class birding opportunities.

What makes this cottage unique

Whether you come for a weekend getaway or spend the whole week, you won’t run out of things to do or places to eat at. From a stone-baked natural pizzeria to a gourmet take-out café offering a smoothie, juice and espresso bar, one won’t go hungry in this town! Bisbee offers something for everyone – fun things to do, unique lodging, art galleries, and loads of shopping. In 2008 Arizona Highways named Café Roka and in 2009 Bisbee Breakfast Club among the top 25 restaurants in all of Arizona. History buffs will discover an award-winning Smithsonian affiliate, the Bisbee Mining and Historical Museum. For the adventurous, there is the underground Queen Mine Tour. One of the best ways to experience Bisbee is to just get out of your car and walk around the charming alleys, stairways and sidewalks of Old Bisbee. Come with your sense of adventure and leave with a renewed spirit!

Great property with wonderful views of historic Bisbee. You couldn’t find a better location!

  • 5 of 5

The Doublejack is great for a weekend stay, but would also be perfect for a week or more as well. It’s nicely laid out and designed, with comfortable furniture and decor. It’s also very spacious and has a good sized private deck and patio attached as well. The hosts, Bob and Jeff, are wonderful! I couldn’t say enough positive things about their hospitality. If you’re visiting Bisbee, I would highly recommend Doublejack.

Amazing property and location!

  • 5 of 5

The Doublejack is a gem in laid back Bisbee. We arrived at night after a long day of travel from Boston, and for those unacquainted with Bisbee it can be a bit of a challenge driving down from Tucson and getting there after dark. But the meticulously detailed map from Bob at the Doublejack not only got us there easily, it also identified all the restaurants, shops and other key points of interest. Did I mention it's a hand-drawn map? That's the level of detail at the Doublejack. The location is perfect, an easy walk to downtown Bisbee. Unexpected touches include juice, eggs, milk and bread when you arrive, and the views are spectacular. There are also bird feeders all around the property and humming birds are prolific. As others have noted, there are a set of stairs to climb to get to the Doublejack, but then again, it's Bisbee and there are stairs everywhere. It's worth the climb to the top. Parking is easy. Definitely a place I would stay again next time in Bisbee!

Beautiful in a cozy guesthouse

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I have stayed at the Doublejack a few times when staying in Bisbee and have labeled it our favorite place to stay. The location is amazing in the heart of Old Bisbee, walkable to anywhere you would want or need to go. The outside patio is incredible with amazing views. The hosts are very friendly and helpful. Bisbee is an incredibly fun, quirky little town, well worth the adventure and the Doublejack is the perfect place to stay.

Everything You Could Possibly Want......

  • 5 of 5

The Guesthouse is a great getaway for those who want to relax & have everything available while you stay in this wonderful place. We slept in a king-bed at night with wonderful bedding and napped away an afternoon as well. Everything was at our fingertips including a lovely breakfast each morning.

Will add this to our annual trip list for sure - Thanks to Bob & Jeff for making this place so special!
