This property has Southwestern solitude, yet the amenities of a metropolitan city, and Albuquerque's diverse culture. From the comfort of your living room's leather recliners, you can view the Sandia Mountains; and see the entire length of the world's longest Tram. Or use the telescope or binoculars for stargazing or birdwatching. Experience the 'watermelon' sunset hues, while grilling and dining on the outdoor patio. Spend time on the swing with your children/grandchildren (when they are not enjoying the nearby playground and park). Or just relax with a margarita or cerveza.

You will be 5 minutes from the Sandia Peak Tram, and 10 minutes from the Sandia Resort & Casino (golf, dining, gambling, dancing, entertainment). The Tram is easy access to the 'back side' of Sandia Peak, for winter skiing and summer mountain biking. Sandia Heights is an epicenter for 'outdoor' living. About Beverly Abshere

We are health professionals (dentist/PA) who live in a larger, multi-level home in Sandia Heights North. It is like coming home to a 'Resort' every night.

We love this area so much, that we wanted to secure additional property our family could enjoy.

As military medical officers in Navy Reserve and Air National Guard, we have had privilege to serve and travel, and are OEF/OIF veterans. Phil also Vietnam veteran (B-52 and T-28 instructor pilot).

When this very unique property came up for sale, we jumped on opportunity (literally day before Phil deployed for Afghanistan). We wanted a single level, smaller, and cozier home for our special needs sister who resides with us (if ever needed in the future). But with smaller properties, it is so rare to have these million dollar views! It is a corner property, surrounded by natural and mature landscaping on 3 sides. Purchased from original owners who maintained and updated property well. We have enjoyed customizing it with original and hand-made Southwest furniture and artwork.

What makes this house unique

Sandia Heights epitomizes all the benefits of living in New Mexico. High altitude, pure air, stargazing, city views & mountain views, and high desert natural landscaping (evergreens and cacti). Extraordinary views of Sandia Peak and The Tram from the large, trapezoid picture window. And panoramic views outside from the cozy, but unobstructed courtyard, that extends into extensive "open space" and park areas.

Kitchen is well stocked with every gadget/appliance for gourmet cooks, grill-masters, or group entertaining at Holidays (turkey roaster, crockpot, blender, toaster oven, food processor, teakettle). Drip, French press and Keuring coffee makers. Loose teamaker. Mixologists have everything they need to prepare and serve cocktails in appropriate glasses.

For those needing to "take care of business" during their stay, there is corner workstation with writing desk and comfy/adjustable executive chair. High speed internet with either wireless or fixed connections; and printer/copier.

If you love an incredible mountain view this is the place to stay! If you are looking for a home with a lot of heart and soul come here. The owners of this home are amazing people. Their accommodations are completely fitting for a second home experience. We have stay at this house for years. Great access to the city of Albuquerque and a short drive to Santa Fe. The best things are the easy access to incredible hikes for all levels, very cozy home with all the supplies, incredible beds and all the wildlife watching in the backyard.

Great Location Close to Sandia Mountains

This home offers lovely views and a secluded feeling. The neighborhood is quiet, but conveniently located for easy access to attractions, grocery, walking / cycling / hiking trails, and major routes. The home itself is beautifully decorated and has everything you need to make your stay relaxing and pleasant. There are many kitchen supplies for those who might prepare a meal for a group. Owners are friendly and responsive, and truly want to insure a great visit to the area. We rented this home for visiting family who were in town to celebrate a special occasion. They loved it!

We have been enchanted!

My family of four spent a week at this awesome rental. The property is absolutely beautiful and very well equipped. We particularly enjoyed the backyard at sunset. Beverly was an amazing host, she went out of her way to assist and also recommended placed to visit based on each family member's interests. She has a wealth of information about the area. We loved Albuquerque. We are planning to return and would certainly stay at this property again.

We found what we were looking for at Sandia Heights, total peace and quiet with beautiful views of the Sandia Mountains. This is a very comfortable home. Everything you might need is there and waiting for you. Beverly is a delightful hostess and makes sure your visit goes well. If we return to this area in the future we will choose this one again!!

Outstanding stay in Albuquerque

My wife, Luisa, and I had 9 days and nights of bliss in Albuquerque! The accommodations were beautiful, very clean, and very well appointed. The view of Sandia peak from the backyard was without compare! The location was perfect and gave us easy access to the various attractions of Albuquerque and Santa Fe as well as restaurants, grocery stores and other amenities. Perhaps the most delightful part of our stay was meeting and talking with our hosts, Bev and Phil. They are very bright and engaging hosts and went way out of their way to make sure that we were comfortable. Bev is also a wealth of information about the area and its many cultural, historic, and natural features. Without a doubt, this was one of our most memorable vacations and we highly recommend a stay at this property without reservation or qualification. Glenn Cooke, Victor, New York.

Love it!

Its the perfect house to getaway for a couple. My husband and I have been staying here for years. We are big fans of the hiking in Albuquerque and the wonderful weather to be outside all year long. The house is perfectly set up for our long stays to cook and rest. Great amenities and the owners are the best hosts to make you feel welcome.
