Nice House in wonderful place, very dirty and damaged
We were in June 2023 in this house, me, my husband and 2 labrador dogs.
Positives:
House and the garden are very big and you have enough space for everything. Temperature in the house was pleasant, even when very hot outside. Location was ideal, the beach and centre of the village in 15 min. walking distance. Agency Staff very nice, but hardly spoke English, and only 1 staff member spoke German.
Negatives:
The house was incredibly dirty, I spent a whole day just cleaning. Terrace was hardly usable when we arrived, with lots of branches, tree leaves, spider webs everywhere. Garden furniture was damaged or full of mould. Only 2 sunbeds were somewhat new. The concrete barbecue was unusable as the metal grids for grilling were completely rusty, so we had to buy new ones for it. In the house some furniture was very old and even broken (sofas f. example). The beds were very bad, especially the mattresses. The worst was the kitchen, where even mouse droppings were everywhere in the cupboards. Fridge big but also already damaged.
I didn't fear any work - and then cleaned the house myself for our use. Many guests would have left immediately, I suspect. We got the impression that the owners of this house had not been there for years, or were hardly interested in their property, which is a pity.
All in all, we can't really recommend the house unless a basic cleaning is done properly and a couple of pieces of furniture are changed. For the price, everything could be fixed firstly.
