Get the best view from the third-story master suite with a lookout deck and beautiful windows to see every angle from inside. The Great Escape is truly a gorgeous home with relaxing views and a spacious interior. With sleeping for 20 guests, this home is perfect for multi-family vacations, and large gatherings.

Inside this three-story beauty is a spacious and coastal interior with plenty of space to spread out and relax. The large living room features plenty of seating for everyone around the flat-screen TV and boasts a view of the lake from the balcony. A bar with seating is just off the living room, making this the ultimate place to hold your gatherings. A large kitchen features stainless-steel commercial Viking appliances, additional bar seating, and ample counter and cabinet space. Guests can enjoy their family meal in the formal dining room with seating for 12. Whether your enjoying your time outside on the private pool deck and enjoying the lake view, or inside the spacious and coastal interior unwinding with a glass of red wine, The Great Escape has so much to offer!

Perfect for a long weekend stay

The house was absolutely perfect for our girls' weekend trip in Destin. The property was clean and spacious - perfect for meals and games together as a group - and convenient to the beach, great restaurants, and all the activities we planned in the area. The pool was a perfect touch to the weekend. We would absolutely stay there again on a future trip to Destin!

The house was very spacious and easily accommodated our three families of 14 people. The location is great. Just a short walk from the beach and tucked away in a quiet neighborhood. There are a lot of stairs so beware if taking young children or older adults. There are two separate living areas which was nice for the parents vs the adult children and teenagers. My only two complaints is it does need a good deep cleaning and it also needs a counter top ice maker. The fridge holds a lot of food but has a terrible ice maker and no water dispenser.Over all, it was a great house and we enjoyed our vacation in Destin.

Senior trip!

This house was perfect for a large group of 15! We brought a bunch of 18 year olds for a senior trip, along with 4 parents/chaperones. There was plenty of room for everyone and was surprisingly quiet in the house. They way the house is divided made it perfect for the young adults to stay downstairs and have their own space. They didn’t wake up the parents once! Our only complaints are the functionality of the oven and the cleanliness of the pool.

Not happy with property!!!

During the rain water leaked horribly through the ceiling upstairs in the master suite which kept us awake for hours, had to put down towels and call for a bucket. Then noticed water leaking in living room area close to my grandsons video gaming equipment, luckily we caught this and got a bucket for this also. Broken towel bar, broken blinds, thick dust on blinds, pool was DIRTY. THIS HOUSE NEEDS LOTS OF REPAIRS. Not the first time it has had leaks because you can see stains on ceilings. WILL NOT STAY HERE AGAIN.

What a great escape!

The house was perfect for 20 people & only a short distance from the beach, but set back away from it all. We relaxed in the pool in the morning while the sun was there & then hit the beach in the afternoon. Beach access was great & we always found a spot. We enjoyed using the comfy beach chairs & the bikes that were provided with the property. It was hard to tell in the VRBO room description, but there is a twin bunk bed up on the second floor master suite. Our only complaints would be that whoever claims the bedroom on the main floor off the kitchen either needs to be a heavy sleeper or likes to stay up late & get up early. Sound travels easily from the kitchen & the family room to that bedroom so when our 19 year old boys stayed up late playing poker, so did the people sleeping in that room. And when the breakfast club got up & started using the kitchen, it typically woke them up as well. Also, the king bedroom closest to the pool on the ground floor does not have a closet or an ensuite bathroom so we had to share closets & bathrooms. It worked out ok, but could be a little inconvenient. The pool did get dirty after a full week of use & there were a few awkward boards on the pool deck that you have to get used to so you don’t trip over them. The access to the pool from all decks was very convenient. Lastly, the refrigerator is huge, but there is not a lot of refrigerator space for 20 people. We had to keep most of our drinks in coolers so we could fit our food in the fridge. We did make meals almost every night though so we had a lot of food in there. All in all, we had a great time at the great escape!

The property was small but the house was very large and spacious, had all the best appliances and it was fully stocked with everything we could have wanted for a beach trip. Getting to and from the beach was a breeze, and when we didn’t want the beach, the pool was perfect. Plenty of beach toys available and more than enough towels. We had a great week.

Perfect Family Vacation!

I got the opportunity to take a Family Vacation with my Great-grandpa, Grandma, Aunt, Parents, Siblings and Cousins ; We couldn’t have picked a better place! The house has plenty of space for a big family. The beds are very comfortable which is a must for a vacation! The neighborhood is very peaceful and very close to the beach! The only downside was the layout of the house, the kitchen in on the second floor and my Great-grandpa had trouble constantly going up and down. The beach isn’t crowded at all and all of the restaurants near were very tasty! When we needed help finding keys to the golf cart the property manager on the phone was very helpful. 10 out of 10 recommend!

Nice but not functional floir plan

Although the house was spacious the floir plan was not at all functional at all. The kitchen and main living area was on the 2nd floor so whether comi g in the front door with luggage, groceries etc... or coming in from the pool you had to climb 2 sets of stairs to the kitchen and main living area. Not at all functional for elderly or handicaped. Needs to be stated in the description because we would not have choose this house for that reason. But overall it was ok. We have stayed in much nicer for less.
