Not Fancy but perfect
We are a large family that gathers every year to go to the Lake. The tree house is PERFECT for us. It is casual, it is large, it is funky. The house sits on a very quiet Cove. The cove is a no wake zone so swimming is perfect. The hosts are friendly and accommodating. We are rebooking for 2018.
The lake house is on a nice cove. The dock was very convenient. We were able to dock our boat and swim all day. The kids and adults hung out on floats while the boat was out. I would recommend getting floats if you do not already have some. This is a hidden gem lake that I think is under estimated. The water clarity and fishing is great. We were able to catch a lot of fish off of the dock. The water skiing was a plus as well. We were able to drive right outside of the cove and water ski. The lake house is great as well. Our group was pretty close to being at max capacity and we were pretty satisfied with the space. In summary, we will be back. I would recommend this place in future.
Great family get together!
Our family of 16, ages 2 - 82, enjoyed our weekend stay here the last weekend of July .
Prior to committing to our stay we were made aware of the stairs and the deck without railing to ensure safety for all members. I appreciate that!
It turns out the stairs were a bit much for the older folks at times.
Directions to the house were spot on, the door instructions as well.
We had family meals in the 1st floor kitchen/rooms/patio and snacks on the 2nd floor during card games. All areas were spacious and the kitchen well stocked for cooking (although our chefs preferred their own skillets).
We fished off the dock (perch/turtles) and kayaked/fished around the cove. Had some Canada geese and ducks as occasional visitors. There were sudden bursts of wind on deck so secure belongings.
We brought extra deck chairs, which were needed for our large group.
Nearby we visited Longhorn Caverns and wineries. We also rented a pontoon boat for a sunset cruise & extended lake swimming.
There was PLENTY of parking; the gate was a bit cantankerous to latch.
The beds VERY comfortable; the layout was fun. Our son had the "closet" bed which set up some great conversation.
Be aware in the shallow areas around the deck it is VERY slick if walking in.
Our family loved this place as a close vacay that everyone could enjoy!
Thank you for coming to enjoy the Treehouse with your family of all ages! We hope you will come again. We really appreciate the very thoughtful and thorough review!
Our family of 18 thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the treehouse.
The house was great! Perfect location on a quiet cove. Enjoyed swimming, kayaking, fishing!!
we were 20 strong and had a blast
fed the ducks, the geese, little ones "fished" off the dock
very nice and great for a big group
My family absolutely loved our stay here.
The cove was perfect for us to enjoy the water and the main lake was not far to enjoy boating and skiing.
Outside of Marble Falls via FM 1431 just past Granite Shoals. Near the Confluence of Llano river and Colorado arms. Lake LBJ is constant level.
