Pieno lusso in una bellezza naturale mozzafiato. Remoto e privato. Così tranquillo che senti il battito del tuo cuore. Di notte, le luci della città non disturbano la vista del cielo stellato.

Da questa Casita di 1.475 piedi quadrati, godrai di una vista panoramica a 360 gradi: il lago Abiquiu, miglia di mesas, dolci colline e le magnifiche scogliere rosse che circondano il famoso Ghost Ranch. A sud vedrai la montagna di 10.000 piedi conosciuta come El Pedernal, che Georgia O'Keefe ha reso famosa nei suoi dipinti, insieme a gran parte del paesaggio vicino.

La nostra Casita è stata costruita nel 2008 e progettata da un architetto locale in uno stile sudoccidentale ma moderno. È completamente arredato per il massimo comfort. La cucina è dotata di elettrodomestici in acciaio inossidabile, tra cui una stufa a gas Bosch con griglie pesanti per chi ama veramente cucinare.

Dai un'occhiata al bagno principale: puoi scegliere tra una doccia in ardesia o una vasca da bagno a immersione totale per calmare il tuo corpo dopo un'escursione tonificante nelle vicine montagne di Jemez. Oltre alle 2 camere da letto, ognuna con letti Queen, c'è un materasso ad aria full size RAISED letto gonfiabile con pompa ad aria ad alta capacità integrata e lenzuola dotate di gonna da letto per l'uso nella Great Room con vista sul lago.

You couldn't ask for a better view. It was amazing. The host was very easy to work with and very kind. We loved everything other than we would highly recommend adding a king size bed. Other than that, not sure you could ask for too much more.

It's hard to find words to describe Vista de Lago. The most obvious are the amazing views from the casita. Stunning panoramic scenes that change with the light through out the day. The stars at night are glorious! The quietness will latke you breath away. The casita itself is so well furnished and appointed like no other holiday rental we've stayed. You can tell this home is lived in and loved. You feel at home as soon as you walk in the door. We wanted for nothing and everything was clean and in very good condition, perfect. We have some serious cooks and we had a blast in that kitchen. Can't say enough about this property. Larry was the perfect host. Communication was seamless and instructions were spot on. We will definitely be back!!

Short Stay - Great vistas and comfortable home

The house and view are everything you see in the pictures. There are only maybe a half dozen or more other homes within even viewing distance of this home, and none closer than maybe a 1/4 mile. Very quiet, and very dark at night.Be aware that the last 3 miles or so to reach the home, after you turn off of Hwy 96 are quite rough. The roads were not really rough and uneven like many of the off-roads in New Mexico, but if you drive in an out a number of times, it will get kind of old pretty quickly.You are about 17 miles from the nearest (and only) little town, Abiquiu. There is a general store there, an Inn and also even a little ice cream shop. Expect to pay a premium for being out in the boonies, but like I said, that is to be expected. You may want to stock up substantially before you arrive.The home wi-fi is fine. Not lightning speed but it was consistent while we were there. Be aware that away from the home, the internet is anywhere from very spotty to non-existent. My guess is that we lost it after we got past Espanola. Google Maps does NOT work. So bring along at least a good, New Mexico highway map.If you're into any sort of local TV stations, which include national news at the actual time it is broadcast, then I suggest you plan on getting it from your PC. We used Dish Anywhere.In summary, it's a beautiful home and location. If getting almost completely away is your thing, then this place is definitely for you.

Beautiful house with a view

We had a great extended weekend stay and were very impressed by the house and the architecture that takes great advantage of the view of Lake Abiquiu. The fire pit area is a fantastic place to take in the scenery and the night sky. Very comfortable and lovely place to spend a vacation!

Gorgeous get-away

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful home. The views are amazing! We had a great get away from the rest of the world. The lake is just down the hill and views are beautiful! There are many great places to visit within 60-90 minutes from the home. We really treasured our time here together! The hosts were great about communicating with us and the house was very clean and absolutely beautiful! You are remote which we knew after reading about the property which was amazing! The home is well stocked and had all that we needed. We look forward to coming back someday!

The perfect weekend getaway

This is the perfect place for a weekend get away! We didn't want to leave. The views are simply stunning. Getting up early to watch the sunrises were amazing and well worth it. Being able to have our fur baby with us was essential in where we were going to stay. This is a perfect property for fur babies to roam around. He absolutely love it too. This was such a special weekend and some sweet memories were made. If you are looking for a peaceful, welcoming place to stay in Abiquiu...you have found the right spot. Book now. We will definitely be back!!

Christmas Trip

a gem in the high desert

This is third time my husband and I have stayed at this quiet and beautiful location. The house has sweeping views of the desert sky and a beautiful view of Pedernal. In the evening, you can sit outside on the chairs around the fire pit and watch the sunset and at night you watch the moon and stars. The house is well equipped, the bed is comfortable, the bathroom has a soak tub to relax in. The owner is very communicative if you need something or have an issue with anything. We took morning walks, visited Ghost Ranch and had ice cream at the Frosty Cow -which has great ice cream, and visited the Georgia O'Keeffe Welcome center. If you enjoy the beauty and quiet of the high desert, you will enjoy your stay here. I highly recommend staying here.

Absolutely Perfect!

This was just what we needed after a difficult weekend of laying my parents to rest in CO. We stayed here on our way home for a peaceful place to relax and that is exactly what we got. The home and views are amazing! We felt very comfortable and had everything we needed. We hope to return soon!

Absolutely Amazing Place to Stay

This is a gorgeous, comfortable, house in one of the most breathtaking locations in the west. It is well off the beaten path but totally modern and connected so it offered every level of serenity and escape that our family of five (with three college age kids) could hope for. There is plenty to do around Abiquiu, but this home could be a destination on its own. After the first couple of hours there, you'll know how Georgia O'Keefe felt when she found Ghost Ranch.

Bumpy start but overall good

Our family recently stayed at the property. There was a hiccup at the start but the owner was very responsive and helped provide an accommodation until the issue was resolved. I could not say enough wonderful things about the property itself. The location is absolutely GORGEOUS!!!! The sunrises are amazing with phenomenal views of the lake and mountains. And the stars at night will take your breath away! There were a few minor issues like the kitchen could use a deep cleaning and the pull out on the great room is broken but we weren’t fussed. We would happily stay again. Thank you to our hosts for allowing us to stay in their home for our family adventure.
