The property of Gîtes du Vieux Mas de l'Étourneau offers two adjoining cottages for rent listed on Abritel. Located in a magnificent region between the Crau and the Rhône, less than 25 kilometers from Arles, at the crossroads of prestigious tourist sites: Provence, the Crau and the Camargue. The city of Arles will charm you with its beautiful Roman monuments classified as historical heritage.

Quiet, lulled by the song of the cicadas, you will be accommodated within the Camargue natural park and near the Vigueirat marshes. The Mas de l'étourneau is bordered by vineyards, rice fields and other crops. We welcome you to the heart of our working farm. You will be welcomed in the property dating from the 17th century with stone facades.

Each cottage has on the ground floor a living room with kitchen, dining room and living room as well as two bedrooms and a bathroom-wc upstairs. Each has its own terrace with a view of the swimming pool and the large shared garden. The cottages are equipped with air conditioning and mosquito nets.
The Via Rhôna (cycling route along the Rhône), which passes just behind the farmhouse, will offer you many possibilities for bike rides, or on foot suitable for families. You will enjoy the beaches of Salin de Giraud, Beauduc, Port saint louis (approx. 25km) but also Saintes marie de la mer, the Calanques or even the Grande Motte.

We will be happy to welcome you to the Camargue so that you can enjoy a Provencal stay during your vacation.

Lovely old gite in rural setting

The gite is one of two located in the large grounds of a working farm just outside the small village of Mas Thibert and on the edge of the Camargue National Park. The accommodation is spacious, comfortable and well equipped and has very modern bathroom facilities. It also has a large and well maintained swimming pool, which together with swings, slides etc would make it an attractive venue for young families. We spent a most enjoyable week there. The owners, Isabelle and Michel, were charming and most helpful.

Peace & quiet

A traditional stone built farmhouse. Remarkably tranquil.The gîte was spotlessly clean, spacious, and well equipped for the purposes of our stay. The main rooms have air-conditioning which helps even in late September. The owners are friendly, helpful and approachable, and give us good advice on what to see in the area and the best places to eat. The property is located centrally and the coast, the Camargue, Arles, and the picturesque towns further in land, were only a short distance away. We would stay there again quite happily.

We Love It

This was our third stay with Michel and Isabelle. Unthinkably it was even better than our first two. The gite contains everything required and is very clean and comfortable. The grounds are spacious and interesting to explore. The swimming pool is a good size to relax in and the poolside furniture is of a high standard. Michel and Isabel are welcoming and friendly hosts and provide you with excellent extras such as home grown produce, free passage across the Bac de Bacarin, and an omnipresent smile. As keen naturalists the surrounding area is heaven for us with the Marais du Vigeurait on your doorstep, Peau de Meau nature reserve very close by, and the main Camargue delta but 20 minutes away. The gite is also an excellent location for access to Arles and its Roman history, and the beautiful villages of the Alpilles. Many restaurants are nearby in St. Martin de Crau and the Alpilles villages. We recommend the gite to all age groups as it is well catered for children.

Eine sehr schöne und ruhige Unterkunft. Super geeignet für Familien mit Kindern. Alles war in bester Ordnung bei unserer Ankunft, der Check-in sehr unkompliziert. Die Gastgeber Isabelle und Michel sind sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Wir hatten eine gute Zeit hier.

Unsere Unterkunft bei Isabelle und Michel war sehr sauber und mit allem eingerichtet, was einem den Urlaub und die Selbstversorgung angenehm macht. Es gibt überall Mosquitonetze und Klimageräte, falls es mal ganz heiß wird.Der Pool (Salzwasser) war sehr angenehm. Viel schöner als ein Pool mit Chlor und wir haben ihn täglich genutzt. Auch unsere Kinder waren jederzeit herzlich Willkommen.Zum Strand fährt man etwa 45min, dieser ist aber toll, ganz breit, kostenfreie Parkplätze direkt dran und Rettungsschwimmer als Aufsicht, damit niemandem etwas passiert. Auf dem Weg dorthin nutzt man eine kleine Fähre, ein Dauerticket wurde uns seitens Isabelle und Michel kostenfrei zur Verfügung gestellt. Herzlichen Dank nochmal dafür.Isabelle und Michel sind sehr sympathisch und wir haben bedauert nicht besser französisch zu sprechen. Als es wegen eines Gewitters keinen Strom gab, wurden wir mit Kerzen versorgt. Wir hatten jederzeit das Gefühl Willkommen zu sein.

Eine traumhafte Ferienwohnung inmitten von Reisfeldern. Ein wunderschönes grünes und großes Grundstück mit einem tollen Salzwasserpool. Unsere Kinder haben den Pool geliebt.Die Wohnung war gut eingerichtet und es war alles da, was man braucht.Michel und Isabelle waren hervorragende Gastgeber. Sie haben sich oft nach unserem Wohlbefinden erkundigt und waren sehr hilfsbereit.

Sehr schöne Unterkunft und sehr nette Gastgeber

Die Unterkunft ist sehr schön, geräumig und sauber. Es ist alles da, was man braucht. Vor der Unterkunft ist ein großer und gepflegter Garten und ein schöner Pool mit Liegen und Sonnenschirmen.Die Gastgeber sind sehr nett und hatten auch ein paar Tipps parat.Also alles prima. Uns hat es sehr gut gefallen und wir würden wieder dort hingehen, falls es uns nochmal in die Gegend verschlägt.

Vacances au cœur du Parc naturel régional de Camargue. Point de départ idéal pour une escapade à la mer, avec de magnifiques plages de sable accessibles en quelques minutes en voiture, ou pour suivre les traces des Romains en visitant le pont de garde aqueduc le mieux conservé ou les arenes d’Arles et de Nîmes. À Avignon, le célèbre pont et le Palais des Papes vous attendent – tout cela à environ une heure de route. La nuit, au milieu des rizières de Camargue, les grenouilles vous bercent de leurs chants. Que peut-on rêver de mieux ?Le plus grand atout : Isabelle et Michel, toujours disponibles mais jamais envahissants. Un grand merci pour les nombreux conseils d’excursion, l’immense jardin et la maison de vacances entretenue avec tant d’amour !

Sommerferien in der Camargue

Wir hatten eine wunderbare Woche im August. Die Unterkunft liegt ruhig auf einer Farm umgeben von Reisfeldern. Der Empfang war sehr herzlich. Unterkunft und Umgebung sind wie auf den Fotos im Inserat. Bei dem heißen Wetter war der Pool eine Wohltat. Reitmöglichkeiten sind nicht weit weg. Bis zum Strand sind es ca. 30 Minuten mit dem Auto.

Es war wunderbar!

Unsere Familie (2 Erw. + 3 Kinder) hat den Aufenthalt in Mas-Thibert sehr genossen. Isabelle und Michel waren wunderbare Gastgeber! Sie haben uns bereits bei der Ankunft super Tipps für Orte und Ausflüge in der Umgebung gegeben. Die Ferienwohnung war sauber und gut eingerichtet (3 Klimageräte, Spülmaschine, Waschmaschine, ...). Der Pool war ein weiteres Highlight neben dem großen Garten und dem Spielgerät. Isabelle und Michel haben uns außerdem viel zu ihrem Reisanbau erzählt und unsere Kinder durften einige Runden im Traktor mitfahren. Sehr gerne empfehlen wir den Aufenthalt bei den beiden weiter!

Zauberhaft

Wir haben diese Woche in vollen Zügen genossen. Die Wohnung war sauber, sehr gut ausgestattet und in ruhiger Umgebung. Die Vermieter wäre äusserst zuvorkommend und hilfsbereit. Der Standort der Wohnung bietet eine Fülle an Ausflugsmöglichkeiten ob in der Provence oder in der Camarque. Wir würden gerne wiederkommen!

Séjour parfait en Camargue

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour chez Isabelle et Michel, avec un accueil très chaleureux et de très bonnes recommandations sur la région. Tout était très soigné. Le gite est parfait, très bien équipé à l'intérieur, l'extérieur est très bien entretenu, juste parfait pour déconnecter totalement. Nous recommandons cet hébergement et la région les yeux fermés !

Avril en Camargue!

Quelques jours très agréables dans ce paisible Mas. Un bel espace, des balançoires et un toboggan qui ont bien occupé les petits lorsque nous restions là. Gite bien équipé et hôtes très disponibles avec de bons conseils de visites. Prévoir assez de courses pour les provisions sinon c’est peut être un peu loin le centre commercial (20 minutes), mais nous n’avons pas essayé la supérette du village. En tout cas un grand merci à Isabelle et Michel pour leur accueil et leur disponibilité. A bientôt peut être. Damien.

Un jardin d'Eden en Camargue

Superbe un accueil dans une propriété magnifique. La gentillesse et la disponibilité d'Isabelle et Michel sont exceptionnelles. A recommander pour toutes les personnes qui aiment le calme, la marche et le vélo. Le Pass pour le bac de Bacarin qui vous permet de traverser le Rhône en quelques minutes et vous donne accès aux étangs de Vaccarès, Sainte-Marie de la Mer, Aigues mortes,.... Encore Merci

Sehr erholsame Tage in der Camargue

Wir 4-köpfige Familie aus Deutschland haben unseren Urlaub bei Isabelle und Michel Allemand sehr genossen. Ein Kleinod zentral gelegen, alle touristisch interessanten Ziele sind im Umkreis von einer Stunde mit dem Auto zu erreichen. Die Kosten für die Rhone-Fähre haben die Vermieter übernommen. Die nahegelegenen Ortschaften wie St. Martin de Crau und Port St. Louis laden zum verweilen ein. Der Markt in St. Martin ist sehr zu empfehlen. Es bietet sich Gelegenheit, hochwertige lokale Produkte direkt bei den Produzenten zu kaufen (Wein und Olivenöl ect.) Diese kann man dann auf der Terrasse mit Blick auf den gepflegten und wunderschönen Garten in der Ferienwohnung geniessen. Die Klimaanlage in den Schlafzimmern und im Wohnbereich helfen wenn das Thermometer in höchst sommerliche Bereiche klettert. Ebenso bietet der Pool eine angenehme Erfrischung. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und können diesen Geheimtipp nur empfehlen.

Wunderbar

Wir waren sehr zufrieden. Alles ist exakt wie im Inserat beschrieben und auch sehr sauber. Man fühlt sich wie im Paradies. Auch die Gastgeber waren sehr nett. Für unsere zwei Jungs war der große Garten und natürlich der Pool das Highlight. Wir werden bestimmt irgendwann mal wieder kommen.

Nous avons passé deux semaines magnifiques en Camargue. Le logement était idéal pour un séjour reposant, magnifiquement situé et parfait pour combiner séjour à la plage et culture. L'appartement était bien équipé, seul un grille-pain aurait été le bienvenu. La belle piscine, en particulier, a rendu notre séjour inoubliable. Isabelle et Michel sont des propriétaires attentifs, communicatifs et aux petits soins pour nous, qui nous ont chaleureusement accueillis dans leur magnifique propriété. Nous reviendrons avec plaisir !

Bewertung Aufenthalt in Mas-Thibert

Wir fanden eine gemütliche und saubere Unterkunft vor mit Fliegengittern und Klimaanlagen in beiden Schlafzimmern sowie im Wohnbereich. Es gibt einen grossen Pool in einem gepflegten Garten in ländlicher Umgebung. Interessante Städte wie Nimes oder Avignon sind innerhalb einer Stunde mit dem Auto zu erreichen, Arles innerhalb einer halben Stunde. Es lohnt sich auch sehr die Natur der Camargue oder Marais du Vigueirat zu erkunden. Die Vermieter sind sehr freundlich und antworten sofort auf Anfragen. Zu beachten ist, dass es sich um zwei vermietete Hälften eines Doppelhauses handelt mit durchgehender Terasse, die durch eine Holzwand getrennt ist. Der nächste Supermarkt ist 20 Minuten entfernt und kein Bäcker um die Ecke. Dies ist nur ein Hinweis, war für unsere Versorgung kein Problem.
