About this property

Our Beautiful Condominium at Papakea Resort

[Latest upgrades: Our AC now consists of 3 Fujitsu, tri-zone, whisper-quiet units with wireless remotes to provide AC throughout the condo, not just in the LR; we now have a six-panel, Thermopane "wall of glass" which provides a 10-foot wide opening out onto our lanai; our master BR now has sliding, Thermopane windows to provide a quiet sleeping experience, and we have bamboo shades for both the lanai doors and the master BR windows. We’ve had a new 240-volt filtration system added to our AC that kills all viruses, including Covid 19.]

Our condo is the perfect place for a family vacation or a romantic escape. From your fourth-floor lanai, you have 180-degree views of the ocean, shuffleboard court, pool/Jacuzzi/barbecue area, putting green, gardens and koi ponds, and the beautiful West Maui Mountains.

Our expansive living room has a cathedral ceiling, which gives an open, airy, very spacious feeling. The wall of mirrors reflects the ocean view and the outside beauty of Papakea. The wall of glass to the lanai slides completely open, so it's as if you can walk right out into the beauty that you see.

Our large kitchen is fully equipped and completely remodeled with granite countertops and backsplash and top-of-the-line appliances. Our refrigerator is full-sized, not just an apartment-sized one. All our lower cabinets have pull-out shelves for easy reach and storage.

Our condominium comfortably sleeps six. The master BR has a king-size bed and mirrored closet doors. There is a queen-size sofa sleeper in the living room with a 6-inch mattress. The twin beds in the loft can be configured into a second king-size bed when requested. All linens are provided, including beach towels, and there is a new Bosch washer and dryer in the hallway closet for your convenience.

There are two bathrooms. The master bath has been completely remodeled and has a glass-block shower for two, a tropical rain shower, and a kitchen-height countertop. The loft has a new, full-sized bathroom with a pedestal sink, shower with a river-rock floor, and plenty of shelves for all your needs.

Papakea has 13 oceanfront acres of beautiful tropical landscaping, vast lawns, peaceful lagoons, and bridges. There two pools and two Jacuzzis, as well as two putting greens, two shuffleboard courts, and tennis courts on the property. Championship golf courses are but moments away.

Coconut palms outline your views of the Pacific and the nearby islands of Lana’i and Moloka’i. The sounds of rustling palms, tropical birds, and gentle surf relax and comfort you. Ahhhh, yes, isn't this exactly what you had in mind?

Our guests have consistently commented that neither pictures nor words adequately describe G-407. You can be assured that every aspect of our condo will meet or exceed your expectations. Our goal has always been to do all we can to help you, our guests, love Maui and feel comfortable in our condo!

Great condo for the Sentry Tournament
Myself and my son in law played in the pro am at the Sentry Tournament. This was a great location to get to both the tournament and also dinning at Whalers Village.

Great west Maui setting and location
Two bedroom, two bath condo with wonderful ocean view to enjoy. This is a fourth floor unit with large screens to allow listening to ocean waves at night and birds in the morning. The amenities are all easily available and well maintained. I wish we could have used the pickelball and tennis courts but there was no time. The Maui bus goes right to this location, so you can even get by without a rental. ABC store in on the grounds and they have delicious hot Hawaiian foods and deli items. Great launch point for traveling up and down the west coast. Papakea is a quiet secluded resort with a sea wall but no beach making it quite idyllic.

Our Thanksgiving holiday at Papakea was amazing! This condo was perfect for our family of 3. Kitchen had everything we needed and the view from the lanai was spectacular. I would definitely recommend this unit and stay again.

A little piece of paradise
Papakea G407 was absolutely perfect for our family of 4. The hosts were amazing, providing so much helpful and useful info ahead of and during our stay. We enjoyed sitting on the lanai and listening to the waves crash gently as they rolled in. We also were able to see/watch the whales spouting and rolling from time-to-time. We couldn't have asked for anything better for our 10 days there, nor would we have wanted to change anything. We definitely plan to return in the near future. Mahalo and Aloha!

Check-in is very easy, very clean. it would be better if the owner can provide small things like shampoo, washing machine detergent, beach towles as many other host provided in HI. BTW, the washing machine is little hard to start, it took my two sons team work to get it start for a few times:-)

We loved our stay at Anne and Wes’ condo! It was clean, fully stocked with everything needed in the kitchen, and with absolutely lovely balcony views! It was a walking distance to several stores and places to eat and next to a famous boardwalk. We would certainly want to return to this place in the future! Anne prepared us so well in advance about everything for this trip and we surely had some great adventures based on her detailed recommendations. Thank you Anne!

The owners were like tour guides with the advance information they provided.
Great location, near shopping and food venues. Lots of things to do on property and magnificent views. The condo was well equipped and slept 4 of us very comfortably. The owners are easy to work with and very informative.

Great location and great place!! The views are spectacular!
The property was perfect with amazing views from the Lanai. The communication from the owners was very welcoming and friendly. She provided us with lots of tips and suggestions to make our vacation the best. The place was clean and perfect for our stay. The only issue I had was during check in, I was informed there was a $17/day resort fee that was never communicated to me during the original description or pricing. I think this should have been communicated in the beginning. The price wasn’t an issue but I would have preferred to have been informed about this ahead of time.

This condo I great for families, I stayed here with my husband and my two college age kids and two younger children. The condo had everything we needed, beach towels, snorkels, pool toys and even a cooler. The property was close to everything and there was plenty of parking. Communication with the host was super easy, she was available throughout our stay. We enjoyed ourselves so much we stayed an extra day!

Perfect in Every Way
We were so delighted to stay Anne & Wes's condo in Papakea Resort. The condo is on the 4th floor with a fabulous view of the property and, of course, the beautiful ocean. Papakea is very well maintained, pools, grounds, common areas. The condo is gorgeous and had everything we needed for our comfort. Plenty of cookware, dishes, towels, and seating for our family times. Anne sent a portfolio of suggestions for activities, best beaches, and restaurants. So thoughtful! Mahalo, Anne & Wes.

Tranquil location
We stayed at this property for a girls trip and a friends son’s wedding. The location was excellent with a view of the ocean. The resort was very quiet and we enjoyed meeting the other people in the complex. The air conditioning was a definite plus as we enjoyed coming back to it after a long day out and about in the humid weather. The only suggestions we would make is the “starter pack” that we were told that would be in the condo was not there. It was missing dishwasher pods and there were no washing machine soap to start with. We were also under the impression that there would be a little bit of “Maui coffee” to start out with. Also, we had requested that the twin beds upstairs be pushed together as a king bed and that the hide a bed be made up also, of which neither were done. We we’re told to call Ron for any problems and we did right away. Someone did come with dishwasher pods and said she would be back with washing machine soap but never did return. We found sheets & made up the hide a bed and purchased washing machine soap & coffee, no big deal. Just something to be aware of also, the refrigerator does leak water from the bottom of which we made the gal that came with the dishwasher pods aware of, and she said that she already knew about it. We were just concerned of it being a slipping hazard for future elderly guests. These are just small concerns and overall I would not hesitate to recommend this condo. Beautiful view and it is always a good thing to wake up in the morning to the sounds of the ocean!

Very nice property in a good location. You can walk to some eateries, food trucks, grocery store, and coffee places. We enjoyed the pickle ball court and the swimming pool. Also, Anne gave us wonderful recommendations for beaches and everything else there is to do on the island. Excellent experience!

Amazing views!
This condo was amazing! The listing photos do not do it justice! The view from the lenai was awesome; we loved spending our mornings sipping coffee and listening to the waves and the birds. The condo was clean and well stocked with all of the essentials and so much more! The location is perfect for those that want to get away from the busy areas and just relax...with the option of a short drive or bus ride to Lahaina and Kaanapali beach. The owners were great with communication from the moment we reserved the condo until we checked out. They sent a lot of great detailed information about the unit and the area. We can’t wait to come back and stay here again! Thank you for making this very special trip memorable.

Great condo in Kaanapali!
Amazing vacation condo. Great beds, kitchen well stocked for cooking, grilling, fun on beach, or just chilling. The open air patio doors and AC in in the loft, bedroom, and living area, make this a unique Papakea experience. Easy 15 minute walk to the Kaanapali Beach walk. Lots of great restaurants in the area. Love the sea wall and pools at Papakea.

We live on an island in WA State, Fox Island, near Gig Harbor, 45 miles SW of Seattle. Anne is a former English/Spanish teacher and deposition court reporter, and Wes is a former elementary teacher and director of instructional technology in Tacoma Public Schools, the same district where he went to school.

Why they chose this property

Papakea Resort has been special to me, Anne, since I first rented there in 1979 when I was teaching English. A student's parents owned a unit there. I had lived on O'ahu as a child, and the spirit of Aloha was everywhere for me on Maui. Papakea soon became an annual vacation spot. Wes and I married in 1997, and we bought our condo in 1998. It is our second home now, and we want your visits to be special, comfortable, and memorable in the very best ways.

What makes this property unique

Papakea is an oasis, a relaxing and beautiful place that is the perfect base for exploring all the possibilities on Maui. It has so many wonderful amenities and a very nurturing atmosphere. Three-time guests said it is their sanctuary and retreat.
