Quiet stay in Amboise

The apartment sits at the back of the property away from the road . It is quiet and private . Lots of natural light and a short walk down a small hill to the town center .Black out blinds make for a good sleep The owner assisted in arranging transportation to the train station on a holiday which was very helpful .Would stay here again when in Amboise .

Comfortable stay in Amboise

My husband and I enjoyed our stay here in June. The unit is very private and spacious. Comfortable bed, big bathroom. As mentioned in a previous review, the internet is spotty but with patience we were able to gain access when we needed to use it. Walking to town is downhill but a bit of a climb when returning home. This did not bother us, but it is something others might appreciate knowing. As a location when touring the Loire, Amboise is a great place to stay especially since there are three great chateaux in town.

Charming Gite for a holiday stay

Spent 5 days exploring the Loire Valley with Amboise serving as base camp. The flat was very clean and modern. Short walk into town made location outstanding. Never found the dryer in the unit but managed to dry clothes after using the washer by hanging outside and inside. Overall an excellent rental home for 2 or 4 persons.

A Gite Perfect for Us

This gite was perfect for us in size, location, and comfort. It was very clean, modern and only five minutes from town. The best part was the wonderful patio with the garden out back. We used it morning and evening. The beds were very comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped for cooking and had a microwave. We prepared several meals there even though The Patio Restaurant in town was excellent. The hostess was helpful in suggesting places to see and bringing whatever we needed. She always had a smile on her face. We saw Chenonceau Chateau which was the best one and only 15 minutes away. We also saw Chateau d’Amboise and Leonardo da Vinci’s home and garden. Stay here and know you will enjoy your stay.

A great place to stay!

The perfect place to stay in Amboise! The gites was spacious and spotless .Our hostess was helpful and gracious as she also spoke great English. The location was convenient, private and quiet. Highly recommended!

Great location and facilities, but....

This is a very good choice due to proximity to town centre, about 1.5 km. The appliances work well and there is a nice patio for outside dining. But the wi fi is terrible; long, long delays logging on and often we were offline. If this is important to you, then this is a deal breaker. As a semi-retiree, it was okay. The owner left just one small roll of toilet paper. But he spoke English well. My wife and I rate this gite overall at B+.....John and Grace in San Diego, Calif. PS Stove is difficult to figure out .But we found the booklet and figured it out.

Perfekt, um die Loire zu erkunden

Wir haben uns in Amboise sehr wohl gefühlt. Das Haus liegt sehr ruhig nur wenige Minuten entfernt von der Innenstadt. Ein sehr guter Ausgangspunkt, um Die Loire mit dem Fahrrad zu erkunden. Dank natürlich auch an die sehr freundlichen Gastgeber! Astrid und Lothar

Lovely gite in pretty town

Frederic gave us a warm welcome and has lots of local knowledge regarding the best restaurants and which chateaux to visit. Chateau Chaumont was our favourite. The photos do not do the gite justice. It is clean, modern and tastefully decorated and very comfortable. It is in a quiet, pleasant neighbourhood with lots to do and see in the surrounding area. Highly recommended.

Fahrradfahren an der Amboise

Das beste Ferienhaushaus, das wir je über FeWo direkt gebucht haben. Das Haus ist wunderbar aufgeteilt und auch sckön eingerichtet. Die Küche hat alles, was ein Selbstversorger so braucht. Im Haus selber wurde an Alles gedacht. Wäscheständer, Klammern, Spielzeug für Kinder, u.w.s. Das hat uns sehr positiv überrascht. Frederic Moulin ist ein sehr herzlicher Gastgeber. Auch die kleine Terasse hat uns gut gefallen. Das Haus liegt 5 Gehminuten wunderbar ruhig vom lebhaften Zentrum entfernt. Alles ist fußläufig einzukaufen. Wie kommen sehr gerne wieder

très agréable séjour

La location était très propre, l'environnement très agréable avec un jardin. Nous avons pu faire tous nos déplacements à pied, que ce soit pour nos visites (château d'Amboise, Clos Lucé, château Gaillard) ou nos courses alimentaires, ce qui est très appréciable. Nous sommes très satisfaits de cette location. Le seul bémol est la literie (matelas inconfortable et surtout oreillers très très plats, nous nous sommes débrouillés avec d'autres coussins et nos pulls). Nous recommandons cette location très bien située et très agréable.

Gute Lage, nette Unterkunft

In der Wohnung war alles was man für den Aufenthalt benötigt. Gute Ausgangslage zur Erkundung der Loiretals, Amboise biete auch viele schöne Sachen zum entdecken. Gute Restaurants und Geschäfte. Wir haben uns wohl gefühlt.

Séjour agréable dans un gîte qui offre ce qu'on attend de lui (à part l'internet en wifi un peu poussif) et pas stable mais suffisant pour voir son courrier). Dommage que le soleil n'ait pas été toujours au rendez-vous cette année.
