Lovely overnight stay near Plitvice Lakes

A wonderful Croatian home with family photos and a quiet, bucolic setting. Beautiful flowers all around the front porch and comfortable bedrooms. Marica is a friendly and gracious host. A perfect little cottage.

Great place to visit Plitvice National Park

Good for a short stop near the National Park. Communication with the friendly owner isn't easy, because her english is not that good. The electric installaion is old and not very stable :D our kids enjoyed playing frisbee in the garden

Wonderful stay.

This is a new, super nice house. It looks so much newer and nicer in real life than is seen in the photos. Wonderful owner lives next door and is able to help with check in. Super peaceful place!

A perfect spot to visit Plitvice, only a few minutes from the entrance 1. I communicated fine online with a representative of Marica, Marica lives next door, and came outside when we arrived and let us into the property. She spoke no English, and we spoke no Croatian, but she has clearly dealt with this before, and we were able to communicate the necessary items with no words in common. the only issue- and it is small- is that pictures show stairs, but you do not have access to upstairs, all the rooms are on the ground floor- just an fyi. The house was clean, the water was hot, and there were plenty of dishes to cook the things we wanted. There are 2 small grocery stores 5 minutes away, and several restaurants down the road as well. Would recommend this house for your stay in the area.

Clean, Quiet, and Close to Plitvice with a Wonderful Host!

Our family of five, including our three teenagers, enjoyed our stay here. The owner, Marica, is just as lovely as other reviewers describe — a sweet, kind elderly lady who doesn’t speak any English but is incredibly helpful if you need. (Her property manager handles English communication before and after your stay.) It was a small challenge to coordinate check-in, as we had to time our arrival to meet Marica’s daughter for access, but it worked out smoothly once arranged.The home was spotless and exactly as pictured — simple, serene, and close to the Plitvice Lakes. One detail to note: there’s no air conditioning, and while we were mostly comfortable despite arriving on a hot day, we had to leave the windows open. Because there are no screens, that did mean some flies and mosquito bites.A few little things really stood out. The oven had no markings, but when we asked for help, Marica came over and got it working — then even offered to let us use her oven to speed things up while baking frozen pizzas.If you're seeking clean, peaceful countryside living with a genuinely kind host and a home base near Plitvice, this is perfect.

Wonderful

We really enjoyed our stay here. The owner Marica is this wonderful, cute elderly lady that doesn't speak a lick of English but is so kind and anxious to help. (Her property manager does speak English) Which is how you communicate before and after or if there is anything else. Marica lives right next door, but does not bother you at all. Our fridge went out and within 30 minutes of telling her, she had 2 men carrying what I believe was her own fridge into our house. I honestly felt kind of bad, but also super impressed and grateful as it kept our groceries from going bad. The place was super clean, felt updated in many ways. We enjoyed sitting on the patio and playing games as a family in the evenings. Internet was just okay, but we don't use much when traveling anyway. If you're looking for all the creature comforts of A/C, dishwashers, powerful internet, big TV's etc. this isn't the ideal house to rent. But if you want to experience Croatia's countryside and to know why people are happy with less, then bring a good book, some games and good company and come enjoy the peace that only this type of a home can offer. We loved our stay here and are happy to recommend it as a safe, clean and serene location. Exactly what we were hoping for.

Ganz gut

Alles in allem ganz gut. Hatte ein paar kleinere Mängel wie z.B. das die Abläufe im Bad nur sehr schlecht abgelaufen sind und an manchen Stellen es nicht sauber war. Insektenschutzgitter waren auch keine vorhanden. Ansonsten recht gemütlich.

Great overnight stay before trip to National Park

Marica’s rental home was perfect. We were 3 friends in need of our own rooms for night before 7am morning adventure. This house was perfect. The shared bathroom was modern. The kitchen great for quick breakfast. It is super close to stores and park. It was such a deal price wise!

Gute und ruhige Lage in Nähe der Plitvicer Seen.

Das Haus liegt ruhig und in direkter Nähe zum Nationalpark, so dass man gleich zu dessen Öffnung morgens anreisen kann. Es bietet ausreichend Platz für 4 Personen, bei 6 Personen würde es etwas eng. Leider war es nicht sehr sauber, recht dunkel und der kleine Tisch draußen am Eingang ist nur für 4 Personen nutzbar (wir als Nordlichter nutzen gerne jede Gelegenheit, um draußen zu essen). Die Vermieterin wohnt nebenan und ist sehr freundlich, versteht aber leider nur kroatisch. Insofern war Check-in und -out (z.T. über Bande mit der Agentur) etwas mühsam.

We liked a lot our stay in this property. The only "problem" is that the owner does not speak English. But she managed to show / provide us with everything and there was no problem whatsoever. The property itself is very comfortable and well situated to go to the Plitvice park.

Wonderful host, fantastic location

We loved staying at House Marica! While only there for a night, Marica was a wonderful host. The location was ideal for quick access to the park and offered a beautiful front porch to enjoy a glass of wine. The house was roomy and comfortably fit the 4 of us. Thanks for having us!
