About scott smith

Howdy, We are the Smiths from Missoula Mt, just 1 1/2 hours drive from our cabin! As you can see, we raise a few puppies. Anyway, we are certain you will love our cabin just as much as we do. It really is a little piece of heaven. Scott Deb Connor and Jordan

Why scott smith chose Glacier Country

We have always loved the wilderness and the Swan Valley. 32 years ago my wife and I had a picnic on this very spot next to the lake, and she said if this ever comes up for sale, we are buying it! Thank goodness I was a Realtor, as just one year later, I noticed it came on the market. And here we are.

What makes this cabin unique

Swimming in the lake, reading a good book by the fireplace, hiking right out the back door to national forest servce land, enjoying the evening on the deck, a great campfire, enjoying the peace and quiet, feeding the stellar and gray jays, watching the deer, hiking to wilderness lakes, dinner at the Hungry bear, hiking to Holland falls. Just plain relaxing.

Relaxing Weekend

  • 5 of 5

This was a great vacation place for a relaxing weekend. We were able to use all of the amenities of the cabin, the lake, and outdoor areas. It's a beautiful spot with plenty of options for activities at the cabin and in the local area. We had a couple babies and gave us plenty of space to keep them happy while not being stuck in one room like a hotel, but still had a camping feel for the lifelong Montanan's. Highly recommend this place.

Great place for a relaxing weekend on the water.

  • 5 of 5

The views from the dock and even from the back deck are far more beautiful than even the pictures suggest. The perfect amount of seclusion and plenty of water activities on the kayaks and canoe made for a perfect getaway weekend. After spending much of the two previous days driving around western Montana it was a welcomed relief to come to a place where there was no need to drive anywhere for recreation because there was so much to do on site. The house is a perfect size for a family or small group and it was so beautiful at the lake and by the fire pit that we rarely even spent time inside. Thanks so much for letting us enjoy your beautiful piece of Montana.

Great cabin with a great view

  • 5 of 5

We so enjoyed our stay at your wonderful cabin. It is so comfortable and we enjoyed being able to bring our dogs to have family time with us. The lake is a perfect place to learn how to paddle board and canoe as there is no traffic, very quiet. Our 7 year old daughter had so much fun playing with the frogs at the lake's edge. We can't wait to plan a trip to come back in the summer time to have fun playing in the lake's water. Thank you so much for allowing us to stay in your cabin.

Quiet Fall escape

  • 5 of 5

This was better than advertised. Very quiet and peaceful stay during a mid October week. Non-motorized lake was a plus. We used the canoe and paddled our 5 year old around the lake with her stuffed animals. Some of them even swam! The owners are dog friendly so we could bring our big old dog. We had an evening fire in the outside fire pit and then after seeing the stars come out we moved inside to play some games by the fireplace inside. The beds were very comfortable, the kitchen looked over the living room and made it easy to prepare meals and be in touch with everyone else. It was worth every penny and we will be back maybe even this winter to xc ski out the back door. Thanks for sharing your cabin, and it really has a cabin feel with modern amenities, rather than some of the newer and over done homes in the woods that have been built recently.

Cygnet Gem

  • 5 of 5

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and found the cabin to have everything we needed. The peace and quiet was truly unmatchable. The weather wasn't great but that didn't seem to bother anyone as we all enjoyed the outdoor fire pit, the indoor fireplace, the horseshoe pit and awesome deck. The cabin was fantastic and had plenty of room for our two families. While alluring, the photos on the website did not quite capture the true beauty and peacefulness of the area and the comforts of the cabin. Truly a beautiful place!! We definitely want to plan to stay there again. Thank you for the wonderful vacation.
