The Perfect Sun Valley Vacation Home

The perfect private location steps away from the Sun Valley Resort, bordering Penny Mountain, with great views of both Bald and Dollar Mountains through a wall of windows in the main living room. The private hot tub is situated steps from the back door and sits under beautiful skies in the Central Idaho Dark Sky Reserve.

Sun Valley Lodge recreation passes (5 transferrable passes) are included for our guests and provide free access to the year-round Sun Valley Inn heated pool and the Olympic/lap pools (open during the summer season). The recreation passes also offer a 15% discount on SV Tennis and Pickleball court fees, Gun Club package and one hour trail rides at the SV Stables, and the Lodge hotel rate for Sun Valley Golfing.

No Cleaning Fee on stays of 4 nights or longer. Contact us directly for the possibility of shorter visits.

Reach us via phone or text for help or any questions during your visit. We have been welcoming satisfied guests to our vacation home rental since 2008.

Our home is located on the Valley's bike/walking path (it's a 5 minute walk over the main lodge and ~1/2 mile into Ketchum) and is on the free local shuttle route (Mountain Rides). Guests can easily walk to the Lodge, shops, restaurants, and access trails and other activities year round.

The home offers plenty of off-street parking, privacy and incredible views of the ski mountains.

Perfect spot for our family Christmas. Very close to the Sun Valley Lodge- walkable to town and the sledding hill is right in the back yard.House was immaculate and had everything we need!

This was a great house for our family. The house was as expected; a bit dated but totally fine. Hot tub was clean. Views were awesome and the house backed up to open space. Beds were comfortable. Owner was chill. We will likely come back.

Nice Siblings' Reunion

We were two sisters and a brother (ages 70s - 80s) with spouses and we get together bi-annually. This property was ideal because it was roomy, well-appointed and close to Sun Valley attractions. Scott, our host, was very responsive. I'd recommend his place to anyone looking for a comfortable get-away place.

Ketchum Getaway

Such a great house for families to kick back, sit by a roaring fire, watch the snow fall and spot the wildlife while enjoying amazing views of both Dollar Mountain and Baldy. The house has everything you would need to have a relaxing visit with family and friends. Its location to the Sun Valley Lodge is a nice perk with certain amenities offered to those who rent this wonderful house. The owner is very responsive and we would definitely return again!

Amazing Sun Valley Family Stay

I grew up in Ketchum and this rental was a great base for our family to return and one of the best rentals we've ever stayed in. The house fit 7 of us with plenty of space. New kitchen, impeccably clean. Beautiful views of Baldy. The pictures don't do the place justice. Easy drive to River Run, Warm Springs or Dollar in the winter (or free bus steps away). Penny Hill, the prime sledding spot in town is literally in the back yard. In the summer it's right on the bike path and an easy walk to the resort or town. Scott was great to interact with. We hope to be able to book it again the next time we're in town.

Beautifully sited property

I love this home but there were a couple of glitches: the binder with all the property info and procedures is missing, we needed to call for TP and hand soap. We needed to purchase dish towels, laundry detergent and bath wash. And maybe those items just aren't provided anymore. We just didn't know. Otherwise we had a fabulous time and we love this house.

Great location

Nice house within walking distance to SV Lodge and downtown. No toilet paper or dishwashing soap. They brought some after getting ahold of host, 2 days later. Not a big deal, but certainly expected to have that on hand. Lots of ice on the driveway that was dangerous. We out out salt everyday, and it was close to melting off after 5 days. I mentioned it to host, but they did not take care of it.

The house that had it all: location, comfort, views

We've stayed in Sun Valley 3 times and this is by far our favorite house we've rented. Its location is ideal to accessing everything, and the views from the main room are 180 degrees of astonishing beauty. Upon arrival, we all went sledding right out the back of the property on Sun Valley's premier sledding hill. We walked 1 block to catch the bus to Warm Springs, or River Run ski bases. Another day, we headed out with snowshoes to explore the Valley View trails to the north. All of this without ever having to use our car. Konditerei bakery and the Sun Valley Lodge are also within walking distance. The home's layout is ideal--a giant kitchen, dining and great room make it easy for everyone to hang out together. Bedrooms are just down a hall if someone needs quiet time. Decor is simple, old school Sun Valley charm, but comfortable with all the modern amenities and kitchen appliances, bathrooms and technology. You can store skis and gear in the garage, and put your teenager or in laws in the little apartment suite below. Sun Valley is a special place with very smart zoning, so views are only of beautiful hillsides, and this house is located in one of those special spots with boundless views. We'd rent again, winter or summer, and take advantage of the pool access, which we didn't get to do while in Sun Valley this time--another reason to return in the summer.

What makes this property unique

Staying at our home makes sense. It is just a short walk to the Sun Valley Lodge, it borders the wildflower covered (or sledding-ready) Penny Hill and has clear views of Bald and Dollar Mountains. The free shuttle passes the house, cross-country and snowshoe trails begin across the road, a paved bike path leads from the house into Ketchum and beyond, and the stars shine clearly above the private hot tub.

We love to hop the fence and sled on Penny Hill in the winter and climb it to look over Ketchum in the summer. House rental includes Recreation Passes to the lodge which entitle *guests to use the heated round Sun Valley Inn pool and the Olympic pools in summer. The passes also provide discounts on golf greens fees with priority tee times and discounted tennis court rentals.

* Pandemic-related changes: Five (transferrable) recreation passes are now available per stay. Sun Valley Inn pool reservations are required and may be made same day.
