Spend Summer on Beautiful West Bay!

Directly out your backdoor, you have 110 feet of south-facing private beach and Grand Traverse West Bay to enjoy. The water is perfect for the whole family, a gradually sloping sandy bottom ideal for swimming, boating, and other watersports. One ocean kayak, holding up to three people, and two paddle boards are included. This vacation home is located five minutes south of beautiful Suttons Bay shops, restaurants, marina, and movie theater, and a fifteen-minute waterside drive to downtown Traverse City.

Three miles south-east is Power Island, a Grand Traverse County Park destination for day-boaters dropping anchor to swim, picnic and kick back. This Lee Point Road waterfront neighborhood is ideal for biking, running, and walking. The 18 mile paved Leelanau bike trail is minutes away, along with golf courses and multiple wineries for tastings and touring. This is a great location close to everything Northern Michigan has to offer!

There are three (3) large bedrooms and two (2) full baths. The main level bedroom has a queen bed with easy access to a full bath with tub shower unit. The two upper level bedrooms have hard wood flooring and share a bath with shower. The second bedroom has a king bed and stunning water views through glass doors and a private balcony overlooking the Bay. The 3rd bedroom has 2 double beds. A/C floor units are located both upstairs and down and fans are provided for each room as well. A charcoal grill and beach fire pit are available for you to enjoy. The kitchen offers a refrigerator, stove, microwave, Keurig, and coffee maker. A large flat screen TV for you and your family to enjoy with cable tv and wireless internet. A main level laundry with a washer and dryer is also available for use. This 1600 sq. foot home has everything you need to enjoy a week at the beach! Exceptional property steps from the beach

Fantastic stay on West Bay. The private beach was outstanding----we felt like we were at our own private resort. We were six adults who enjoyed relaxing in the chairs on the beach and on the deck. We loved the ocean kayak and were lucky with spectacular weather. The photos do not do justice to the property---it is even more spacious than photographed. The view of the sunrise over the bay from the upstairs bedroom will be a fond memory. All amenities listed were accurate –Great kitchen! Caymen was great to work with – and answered all questions promptly. Highly recommend!

Slice of Heaven

The home and beach were perfect! The home was updated, clean, and had everything we needed. The view from the upstairs master and the sound of the water at night were wonderful. Having a main floor master was ideal for my parents, as was no stairs to the beach. The sandy beach was beautiful and the bay was crystal clear. We enjoyed the fire pit, paddle boards, and kayak. So much fun! The location was perfect, close to restaurants and shopping in Suttons Bay, and also not too far from Traverse City, Leland, Fishtown, Glen Arbor, and Sleeping Bear Dunes. The vineyards were spectacular! Cayman is an awesome property manager with excellent communication. We had an amazing week! Thank you:)

Great stay

Everything with this property is as advertised, we had a great stay. The location just outside Sutton's Bay and a 15 minute drive into Traverse City is ideal. Neighborhood was quiet. The beach is amazing and every but as nice as shown in the listing. Great view of the west bay and Old Mission Peninsula, especially at sunrise. Beds were comfortable, first floor master is great for anyone that doesn't handle stairs well. Great property and highly recommend.

Wonderful stay in Suttons Bay

Cayman was wonderful to deal with! The rental property is exactly as described. This was our first time staying in Suttons Bay and we had a fantastic week. We plan to be back next year!

Amazing location!

This house had it all from the amazing lake view to the added amenities such as spices and laundry detergent. The house was very clean and not your normal rental with a very comfortable feel!

Perfection Location

This house is right on the water with a beautiful size beach. It was exactly what we were looking for! Perfect for two small families. House is a little outdated, but it had all the amenities we needed, and it was comfortable for us all. Would definitely rent this property again or recommend to a friend or family member.

Lovely setting

Our two-week stay was very enjoyable. The lake was just beautiful - clear waters and sandy bottom. We really enjoyed kayaking, having campfires , and just relaxing watching and listening to the waves from the decks or lakeshore. The house (living space and bedrooms) was comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked for all our cooking needs. We enjoyed the big screen TV as well on cold rainy days. We’ve rented many places in the area and this was one of our favorites! A few slight criticisms: Although not under the owner’s control, the gnats and fruit flies became a real nuisance. Also, workers in the yard on our last day caught us by surprise.

Great Place to Stay!

This cottage is in a wonderful, quiet location. It is extremely well maintained and they pay attention to details (fully stocked kitchen, charcoal, firewood, SUPs, canoe etc). Wonderful views of the West Bay and a great beach area. We can't wait to come back!

Perfect family COVID vacation!

We had an amazing stay. The location of the house with it's yard and own sandy beach was perfect. The water is so clear and shallow and would be a perfect spot for small children to play. Though we did venture out a couple of afternoons, the house was perfect for grilling and family meals on the deck. There's a shade area that we enjoyed in the afternoons for reading. I would suggest that you bring Yard Guard or some other type of outdoor bug spray with you. We didn't and couldn't find it in Sutton's Bay. The house doesn't have central AC but the two portable units do a fine job with the downstairs bedroom and the upstairs double room. We figured out a system that kept the house cool without having to open the windows. Though there are screens, the bugs still found their way inside, as bugs tend to do. We look forward to a possible return visit to this house next year!

Great Vacation Cottage

Paradise!

The beach is incredible and the water in this part of the bay was so calm and clear while we were there. The house had everything we needed, including kids beach toys, a crib, and high chair! Appliances and TV were top notch and the cookwear all looked brand new. Can’t wait to come back next year and we hope to stay even longer!

Very nice cottage with beautiful view of lake.

The cottage is nicely located not too far from Sutton’s Bay, which is a lovely “Up North” town featuring a variety of shops and restaurants. The lake in front has hard sandy beach with very clear water and is great for swimming and paddle boarding. Beach is a bit narrow due to high lake levels. The cottage is clean and well appointed with newer appliances. TV is extra large!

Perfect summer week

Our 9-year-old and 3-year-old left begging us to rent the place again next year. The location was perfect (the waters in the bay are much calmer) and the house was decked out with everything we needed for a wonderful week.

A Wonderful Week!

We stayed at the Island View Cottage with our daughter, her husband and two grandchildren. The setting was idyllic! We enjoyed swimming, paddle boarding and fires at night on the beach. We ate all of our meals outside on the deck. The kitchen was very updated and had everything we needed and more. The view from the upstairs bedroom was breathtaking - both day and night. The house is located on a beautiful street and we walked and ran around the neighborhood. It is in a great location on Leelanau. Jennifer was wonderful to work with and very responsive to my questions. I will admit the well water odor took getting used to and we used bottled water for drinking, A case was left in the refrigerator for us. My only suggestion for this wonderful property would be that the bedding in the downstairs bedroom needs updating. We had a wonderful time and would Iove to return!

Excellent lake front property!

My family and I were excited to spend a week at this cottage on Lake Michigan's Grand Traverse Bay and it did not disappoint. The beach was amazing. The lake was crystal clear. The area was great. Jennifer was also great to work with. The well water did have a strong odor so I would recommend bringing bottled water. That, however, was a relatively minor inconvenience overall. We would love to stay here again and we will look here first when planning our next trip to the Leelanau area.

Great Family Vacation Home and Location

My family enjoyed our trip to Traverse City and Sutton Bay area- 6 adults and an almost 3 year old granddaughter. The summer home offered us everything we needed-beautiful views and breeze, nice yard and beach areas to play, calm bay which was perfect for SUP and great location between Sutton Bay and Traverse City. We're ready to go back :-).

Usually we find that some aspect of a property doesn't live up to the photos or description, but the cottage actually exceeded my expectations. The property and cottage were spacious and thoughtfully appointed. Everything about the experience was refreshingly easy and pleasant and I don't think anybody can go wrong with this property.

Perfect Family Getaway Cottage

We loved the quiet, private location. We loved being right on the beach, Private deck and backyard. Lots of room to play catch. They supplied paddleboards and we brought our own kayaks. There was also a canoe on the property. We loved heading out on the lake whenever we wanted on all of our different watercraft options. The lake was very high during our visit, but we we still had enough beach to enjoy. The water is super clear and you can see the bottom even when it's really deep. Being on the bay, the water is much calmer than the rest of the lake. Loved having a fire on the beach and making smores. Kids loved the sand toys and water toys. The deck was enjoyable and we grilled out a few times on the charcoal grill. They provided charcoal. The cottage offers lots of little perks. Some seasonings, paper plates and plastic silverware, zip lock bags, foil, cling wrap, charcoal, toiletries, laundry supplies, etc...this was super nice. Netflix was a huge plus for the rainy days and nights. The TV is updated since the photos and it's a huge smart TV. The kids enjoyed this. Some games and 1 puzzle and books provided. We rented this with my Dad and Sister and brother in law. It's not the quietest and might be best for 1 family. You can kind of hear everything from each room. Jennifer was very helpful and easily reached.

Heaven on this little piece of earth!

This little cottage is located in a little piece of paradise! Weather was not the greatest, but that didn't stop us from enjoying this cottage. Drove through the Tunnel of Trees in Harbor Springs to Mackinaw City to visit Mackinac Island, spent a lovely day at the Sleeping Bear Dunes and explored Traverse City and wineries up and down the Old Mission Peninsula. Even used the fire pit out on the beach one very cold evening, listening to the gently lapping waves. Cottage is thoughtfully laid out, very clean and amazing views. Kitchen equipped with everything we needed, though we (5 women) did agree that pots and pans needed to be replaced. And if we missed anything at all, it would have been a proper coffee table. But in all honesty, I cannot take any stars away for this because this was one of the loveliest homes we've rented and we've rented many through VRBO. Jennifer was very accommodating and easy to contact, so thank you Jennifer.

Perfect beach home

We stayed the first week in August and the weather and water were perfect. The home was super clean and comfortable, perfect for a family with kids. The kitchen was nicely stocked. Beds were comfy. Bathrooms are nice. We had the windows opened and the breeze off the water was awesome. The beach was clean, beach toys, plenty of chairs. and a fire pit. Jennifer was very easy to get a hold of and made sure we had everything we needed. Highly recommend if you want somewhere nice, clean and right on the beach.

The house was updated, clean and cozy. The back yard is literally the Bay!

My family and I had a great vacation! We were able to relax and enjoy the water. The house is located close to downtown Sutton’s Bay and Traverse City making it easy to dine or shop. I would definitely do it again!
