This was a fabulous stay! The cabin was awesome and the lake and surrounding area so peaceful and relaxing. My dog Suvi and I had such a good time. She was in the water catching her frisbee constantly. I will definitely be staying here again. One of the best retreats I've ever had!

This cabin was perfect for our weekend in the area for a wedding. Our dog loved the open area to roam as well as the pond to play fetch in. Allison was extremely attentive and was great at checking in throughout our trip. Would recommend!

Week stay at the Purple Door Micro cabin

Perfect quiet and relaxing getaway. Cabin was better than expected, clean and comfortable. Great to sit on the back porch and have a view of the beach area and pond. Kevin, the owner's dog, is the sweetest! Owners were great and very kind. A lot of activities and beautiful scenery around the area. We will definitely be visiting again soon!

The property was perfect for our spring break trip. Super clean, very well furnished, perfect location, and we had the best time. My son loved being able to hang out at the pond and fish - and especially loved swimming with the owners dog, Kevin! Highly recommended this little gem.

Thank you for your feedback. The cabin is professionally cleaned and carefully inspected between every stay, and cleanliness is something we take great pride in. For guests with scent sensitivities (as you had mentioned prior to booking), we do our best to communicate in advance that we use standard professional cleaning products, which may have light fragrances. While we do not use plug-ins or "masking" scents, we want future guests to be aware that completely scent-free environments can be difficult to guarantee in a freshly cleaned cabin. We appreciate the opportunity to host you and encourage guests with specific sensitivities to reach out before booking so we can help determine the best fit.

The house was excellent value for the price and was a quiet, peaceful place to get away and recharge. It was cozy and comfortable with everything you’d need for “glamping. The only thing I would recommend is communicating to the host ahead of time if you plan on using the extra Murphy bed (twin) so it is made up fresh and waiting when you arrive.

This is a great find for our puppy! The cabin is open, clean, and comfortable. We had fun walking around the lake and playing fetch in the yard. The checkin/out instructions were clear. We look forward to staying again!

Very cute little cabin. It had everything we needed for our stay, and was very clean and well-maintained. The owner was very helpful and quickly responsive. The outdoor area was very appealing, but due to lots of rain, we were unable to enjoy the nice porch and firepit area. I highly recommend. We definitely would love to come back.

Great cabin in southern Illinois!

This was the perfect place for me to stay while visiting southern Illinois. The cabin is located in a private area, but it's just a quick drive to Marion, which allows for numerous food, drinks, and fun. I loved the decor and atmosphere of the cabin - it also provided all of the things needed to cook meals, etc. I'd recommend this property to anyone!
