This home is located in a gated community. ***4-Wheel Drive or All-wheel drive vehicle REQUIRED - HOA Rule*** to access this memory maker. There is a two night minimum stay.

Minimum age to rent is 25. NO Animals (My children and I have severe allergies to animals), NO Smoking, NO parties. Breaking the house rules will result in cancelation of booking and forfeiture of security deposit.

Relaxing Stay!

We had a great time relaxing at Brooke’s property. It was a quick hour drive to the Lake Lure area. Chimney Rock State Park was really fun! The property had everything needed to make our stay super comfortable. Communication was awesome throughout out entire stay.

Perfect Mountain Retreat

Extremely relaxing with a beautiful view. Really appreciated that the house was fully stocked with everything needed for an extended stay. The road really is in good condition and has beautiful views all the way to the home. I enjoyed driving up the mountain to get to the home, it added to the experience.

Awesome news, fantastic property, great owner

Very clean and nice. View is from the top of the mountain and unsurpassed. Little bit of a trip to get to attractions like the lake and Chimney Rock. Owner was fantastic in communication and the main thing I will say is I would definately stay here again.

Beautiful home, beautiful views

We had the most relaxing mini-vacation at Sunrise Chateaux. The home was clean and well-equipped. Loved the remote location at the top of the mountain. I imagine this to be an amazing vacation home for all seasons. The hot tub, fireplaces and views were our favorite and the home was both lovely and cozy. The owner answered all our questions and was very responsive. Highly recommend and hope to visit again soon!

Great experience in the mountians

House was super clean and the views were just breathtaking. Hot tub was really useful after a long adventurous day of outdoor activities. The barbecue grill also came in handy for grilling dinner. Host was super responsive and very accessible. We would highly recommend this property for someone looking to spend some relaxing and quiet time in the mountains with gorgeous scenery.

Great Getaway

What a wonderful place to relax, recharge, and celebrate our 30th anniversary! The views from the deck were stunning, and the hot tub and outdoor fireplace were most enjoyable on the cool fall evenings of our stay. In addition to being beautiful, the house was very clean, well stocked, and had everything we needed for a great weekend getaway. We also appreciated the host’s detailed and timely communication about the property. Getting there was a fun adventure, and my husband was most excited to see a bear on the morning we left! We can’t wait to come back!

Perfect peaceful getaway !

The property is absolutely amazing! Amazing views that stretch for miles ! Even though the property is nested on top of a mountain there is just the right amount of clearing around the home so that the kids can play and the adults can lounge around taking in the amazing views ! The host is very accommodating ! We had a few hiccups in our schedule and the host was very helpful and understanding and let us reschedule the dates! Would def recommend this property to anyone that just wants to getaway and spend quality time with family and friends!

Beautiful, Secluded home. Amazing views

This was the perfect weekend getaway spot. The home was very clean and had everything we needed. The hot tub was clean and relaxing. 4 wheel drive is a must as there is about a 20 minute drive winding up the mountain to get to the home. A side note: The closest grocery store was about 40 minutes away. Overall, it was a great mountain getaway with beautiful views. The property manager was extremely helpful and responsive. We will definitely be back.

Beautiful

My family loved staying here. The owners were very responsive and kind. The house was clean, well kept, and comfortable. There was a hummingbird feeder hanging from the back porch so I mixed up some hummingbird food when we got there and we enjoyed watching all the hummingbirds during our stay. The road up to the house is fine but long and slow going so we were happy to stay on the porch and simply enjoy the beautiful view. We were looking for a quiet place where we could relax and watch the clouds roll by and this was the perfect spot- we even saw a double rainbow! We wouldn’t hesitate to book again.

I can't describe the scenery and the comfort this home has to offer. The layout, the furnishings, the cleanliness and the hospitality of the host is unmatched. Everything is well kept and like new. The deck was perfect and the hot tub was clean and well maintained. The bed in the master was a little more firm that I'm used to and there were a lot of ladybugs but they were definitely tolerable and worth putting up with. Definitely need the 4WD/AWD. Follow all the instructions the host provides and you will have a relaxing and memorable stay. The home has good vibes and being that close to nature in all its glory is quite spiritual.

Spectacular views, lovely new property

When they said that you need a 4WD or AWD vehicle, they are not kidding. We were fine in a Subaru Outback, but you don't even want to attempt to make it up to this amazing place without something solid. Gorgeous, brand-new home with lovely amenities and very well furnished. And this is truly a secluded paradise; a great place to hunker down. The views are spectacular. It does take about 20-25 minutes from the entrance of the community to get to the property so plan accordingly (you aren't going to get a pizza unless it is by drone... :D). The views are spectacular and there is a wood-burning fireplace inside and outside. Couldn't ask for a better getaway and would recommend to anyone!

Beautiful home

There were black beans and rice in the strainer in the kitchen, along with a dirty sponge in the kitchen. Please consider adding lamp lighting in living room, and a hanging light over the dining table. Or at least put a dimmer on the ceiling lights. VERY tough on those of us that suffer from migraine headaches. There are no places to hang wet towels Consider swapping out Queen bed to King in upstairs bedroom and adding an occasional chair for seating.

Great Views, Fell in Love, 5 Stars

An old friend and I reconnected at Brooke’s beautiful place in Union Mills with our two 8-year-olds for a long weekend earlier this year. What we expected to be a relaxing weekend for us and fun for our kids to hang out and get to know each other, turned into the start of our fairytale love story! We had the best weekend exchanging stories, playing with the kids and watching unbelievable sunrises and sunsets. We came prepared with everything we needed and didn’t have to leave the property once. There was plenty to do and enjoy right up there on the mountain. Highly recommend bringing bubble guns if you’re coming with kids…or if you’re a couple that likes to have fun:) We had our first kiss watching the sunset across from the driveway overlooking the mountains. Fast forward a quick 5 months and now we’re engaged! We will truly never forget our stay at the Mountain Top Escape and absolutely plan to return. We didn’t want the weekend to end. What a dream!!!!

Weekend Getaway

We have stayed at many VRBO houses over the years, and this one was one of our absolute favorites. It is really well-equipped with everything you need, the view is breathtaking, and the house is beautiful. There was even an outlet to charge our electric car. We would stay at this house again in a heartbeat!

A great place to wind down

This is a beautiful, spacious house with a large wrap around deck and exceptional views. The owners are very responsive if any needs arise. Definitely a 5 star experience!!!!

The VIEWS! It's simply breath taking! We also love that there is a wrap around deck with 2 fireplaces and hot tub to enjoy. The interior also provides enough room for your family and guests. The walk-in shower in the master bath is also plus!

Features stunning 180 degree mountain views, the design of the house it allows you to relax on the deck or in the house to soak it all in. Our favorite time is sunrise with a hot cup of coffee, relaxing in the hot tub while enjoying a cool breeze! Oh, did a mention the beautiful sounds of the birds singing! Don't forget to warm yourself by the outdoor fireplace in the evenings!
