Beware. Still chasing my refund!

This host canceled day of stay due to a leak (after the check in time) but didn't officially cancel the booking. I was never able to check in and only got a partial refund - although they promised a full refund. I am still chasing this with VRBO 10 days later. I am unsure whether this is a real property. The host is no longer replying to my messages. I am a platinum member of Expedia and travel often and will not be using VRBO again as have experienced 2 invalid bookings in a row.
