Sassafras Lodge - Mineral Bluff

When looking for the perfect getaway, this cabin has it all!

Upon entering this home, your eyes will be immediately drawn to the masterful woodworking throughout the main living areas. To the left, the living room boasts plush seating, a stacked stone fireplace and 65” TV to enjoy a firelit movie night with the family. Moving over to the kitchen fully stocked with stainless steel appliances and an island with a beautiful live-edge bar top and bar seating for 4, there’s plenty of room to prepare a big family breakfast to enjoy at the large dining table with seating for 10. Over to the right and down the hall. To the left is the main level bedroom with a queen bed and deck access. Head across the hall for the main level bathroom with a shower/tub combo and laundry closet. Back through the kitchen and dining areas you will find the spacious main level deck with seating throughout. Enjoy a sunset meal at the large outdoor dining area with a crackling fire burns in the woodburning fireplace or a movie plays on the 65” flat panel TV.

Inside, at the top of the stairs, a large desk area is ready for online work or school. Through the double doors is a large queen over queen bunk bed and couch seating. Also at the top of the stairs is the master bedroom boasting a king bed, large windows and stunning mountain view. Enjoy a soak and a good book in the jetted tub in the master bathroom. The master bathroom also has double vanity sinks and a tiled walk-in shower.

Go downstairs to the lower level and settle in on the plush reclining sofa for a movie on the 65” flat panel TV over gas fireplace. Hop over to the bar area for some drinks at the basement bar area. Down the hall and adjacent from one another is the final queen bedroom and full bathroom. Enjoy a dip in the hot tub out on the lower-level deck while steaks sizzle on one of the grills. Or gather around the outdoor firepit for smores while the kids and/or dogs play in the fenced back yard.

The game room above the garage will bring out the kid in everyone. Play a round of ping-pong, table shuffleboard, take a turn on the arcade machine or hook your own gaming console to the 70” TV for some modern-day gaming.

Wonderful mountain house

My family had such a great time staying at this beautiful cabin. The kitchen was well equipped, the furniture and decorations were high end, and the property was well maintained and clean. The fire pit was so fun to roast marshmallows and star gaze. The game room above the garage was a total hit with the ping pong table and arcade table. We spent a lot of time as a family playing games there. The beds were comfortable and bathrooms were large. This was one of the best places we’ve rented yet as a VRBO! Thank you!

Great Family Getaway

We had a wonderful time. The area is beautiful and the home is great. Plenty of room for my wife and I and our 4 older kids. The 1/4 mile getting to the house might be a little rough if the weather was bad. No issue in the summer. Game room was super fun. We spent nights playing old school arcade games and ping pong. Would have been great to have a larger trash can outside for emptying things at the end of the week. Especially for such a big home that could have handled way more people than we had. The location to Blue Ridge and getting to a grocery store, outings, etc. was super convenient. Overall I would definitely come back here.
