Rehoboth is true resort town. It has beautiful shady streets, lakes, nice boardwalk with 'Funland' attractions, clean beaches, and restaurants for every taste, volleyball games at the beach, and, of course exceptional shopping. Boutiques line Rehoboth Avenue and there are several outlet malls along Route 1. Restaurants range from pizza delivery to ethnic and fine gourmet dining. Of course no week at the beach is complete without a night of junk food on the boardwalk! Families with young children can enjoy afternoons at our area's water parks: Jungle Jim's & White Water Mountain.
Rehoboth is rapidly becoming more than just a summer vacation destination as people are discovering the less crowded yet seasonally pleasant shoulder months of September and May. Shoppers flock year round to the Tanger Outlets and Rehoboth Beach Main Street have organized nationally acclaimed festivities such as the Sea Witch and Fiddler's Festival, Rehoboth Independent Film Festival, and Jazz Festival. Not far up the bay is the historic town of Lewes. Easily reachable by car, the best way to visit Lewes is by bicycle. Our townhome is on the Breakwater Trail which is a seven mile bike path though farms, woods, and marsh/wetlands. It offers spectacular views of marsh, creeks, birds, and other wildlife. Take a leisurely one hour ride to Lewes; enjoy a great lunch in one of Lewes’ eclectic restaurant and make a spirited ride back in time for a dip in the ocean.
Golfers will enjoy the many golf courses in the area and fisherman can enjoy casting right off the surf at Cape Henlopen or Indian River or catch a ride on one of the head boats leaving Lewes or Indian River daily. Rehoboth’s beach is long deep and clean. An excellent beach for walkers, you can hike up to the WWII tower, a relic of patrols for submarines and foreign landing parties. For those who like parks, 15-minute drive to Lewes will bring you to Henlopen State Park with its beaches, hiking, biking, or exploring. Also try Gordon’s Pond State Park for beautiful vistas over inland saltwater ponds. If you like parties, drive (two miles) to Dewey Beach. The Rusty Rudder restaurant has music and dancing on a deck right on Rehoboth Bay. It also offers excellent seafood and buffet. Next to 'Rusty' is 'Crabber Cove' for those who like unlimited crabs and don’t miss Que Pasa, a true beach bar.
Enjoy town's boardwalk for early morning walks and watch the dolphins frolic in the surf just off shore. The beautiful grass barrier on the town's boardwalk has grown and wooden paths go thru it to the beach. Early bikes on boardwalk OK.
