Ask a questionAbout Hathaway Family (rental contact- Deb Foster)
My great grandmother purchased this cottage in 1931 for herself and her family to enjoy summers. Her two daughters and and their families picnicked at the beaches and sailed the Vineyard Sound summers. The cottage transferred to John Hathaway, the 3rd generation, in the 1960's and has been enjoyed by his four children, the 4th generation, to this day. The house has now been handed over to the 4th generation and its use off season continues with the inclusion of the 5th generation of children. The Hathaway family has tried hard to keep the cottage at its best and upgraded the kitchen, beds, and bathrooms over the last 20 years. We love sharing the cottage with those who will find the warmth and ease of use of the cottage inviting.

Why Hathaway Family (rental contact- Deb Foster) chose Oak Bluffs
Our family cottage is within walking distance (10 minutes) of everything in Oak Bluffs (including library, Circuit Ave, harbor and Tabernacle Campgrounds) and to New York Ave where you can pick up one of the buses that travels around the island. The house is comfortable and feels like you are home. The outdoor shower is one of the best around with a private changing stall attached. Beach chairs and umbrella are provided for your convenience.
What makes this House unique
You will love rocking on the front porch and having dinner and game time at the large dining table in the dining room. Many of our guests remark the most about these two areas and have returned each summer for many years building their own family memories.
