Lovingly renovated rest farm in Holstein Switzerland, near the Baltic Sea, pure nature

We renovated a former residential and stable building in 2012/2013 from the ground up and redesigned it in the proper style. The decor combines classic materials such as old bricks and wooden beams with modern elements such as designer screed incl. Underfloor heating on the ground floor.

The house is located in the middle of a very large, lovingly designed garden that invites you to relax with a beach chair and various seating areas and a campfire area. The beech forest directly adjacent to the property offers ample opportunity for walks and encounters with nature. In the garden itself, the rabbit and deer literally say good night.

The house can accommodate 4-6 people (see below for the room distribution). If possible, further bedrooms are available on request. The former stable part of the house is rented out permanently, the living part is available for vacation rental. The house, located in the forest and in the field, is so spacious and has separate entrances so that you don't get in each other's way.


The exact room distribution / equipment is as follows:

Ground floor:
 Living and dining room (table for 6-8) with rotating fireplace
 Fully equipped large kitchen with seating for 4 (bar stool)

Upper floor:
 bedroom (double bed 180x200)
 bedroom (with 2 single beds each 90x200)
 Children's room (high play bed 90x200, 2 mattresses)
 Fully equipped bathroom (double washbasin, tub, shower, toilet)

You also have access to: WLAN, satellite television, internet radio, fully equipped kitchen incl. Dishwasher and microwave, washing machine / dryer, hair dryer, towels, bedding, wood-burning stove, garden furniture, campfire and barbecue facilities, sandpit, swing, table tennis / boccia / croquet / badminton, ...

For total relaxation: classic back massage and traditional foot reflexology therapy are offered directly in the house by prior arrangement!

Please note that smoking is not permitted in the house and that no pets are allowed.

The location of our farm in Holstein Switzerland, which is one of the most popular travel destinations in northern Germany, offers a wide range of recreational, sporting and cultural opportunities:

The proximity to the Baltic Sea and the Holstein Lake District enables recreation and sporting activities at the same time: in summer Sehlendorf / Hohwacht or Weissenhaus are the next sandy beaches with gastronomy and pure beach life.

For children, Filippo's adventure garden in Futterkamp offers a wonderful world of experience, which is also sweetened for parents, especially in the summer berry harvest season! The bird park in Niendorf / Baltic Sea with the largest collection of owls in Europe is also a nice destination for young and old.

Schloss Weissenhaus (www.weissenhaus. Net) offers a welcome change with the Schlosstherme (SPA) and the culture barn even in bad weather. In addition, the "Bootshaus" restaurant on the beach is perfect for a "sun-downer".

For active golfers, Holstein Switzerland has some wonderfully situated courses: the Golf & Country Club Hohwacht can be reached in just 10 minutes by car. On the homepage of www. golf package-baltic. de you get information about another 7 places in the region.

The Schleswig-Holstein Music Festival (www. Shmf.de, season 2019 from 6. July - 1st September 2019) and the Eutiner Festival (www..eutiner-festivals. De, season 2019 from 26. June - 24th August 2019) a top-class music and opera selection. In addition, Lübeck (approx. 35 minutes by car) and Hamburg (approx. 75 minutes by car) offer a huge selection of museums, theaters and musicals.

For those interested in history, Lübeck offers a deeper insight into the fascinating history of the Hanseatic League, and the Viking Museum Haithabu at Schloss Gottorf near Schleswig has a modern exhibition on Viking culture. In addition, those interested in literature will find a wonderful museum on the life and work of the Mann family (esp. Thomas and Heinrich).
