About this property

Tiny cabin near Pedernales Falls

Welcome to dark sky country! Tiny house with a quaint kitchen, bathroom with shower and 13 fenced acres of field and live oaks. Five minutes from downtown Johnson City or Pedernales State Park. 20 minutes from the center of Dripping Springs and under an hour to Austin. Owners live on the property. A sleeping loft holds a queen bed and an xl twin daybed doubles as a couch for the flat screen tv. The cabin has a dedicated wifi network and the tv comes equipped with a Roku stick with "guest mode" so you can access your own streaming services.

Owners live on the property and are available for any issues you encounter.

We have two friendly dogs who often roam the property. They may bark but are not aggressive and would love to play with any dogs who come to visit! If you'd prefer they remain away from the cabin during your stay just let us know.

Please be advised that in the Hill Country you may encounter snakes, biting ants, and scorpions. Scorpions are most active from June-August; they are not dangerous to people but their stings hurt! If you find one in the cabin and would like help getting rid of it just message us.

There are bee hives on the property but they don't typically come close to the cabin.

Please note that the map on VRBO is incorrect - it shows the address in the middle of downtown Johnson City. The property is actually a few miles east of Johnson City just off of route 2766, about halfway to Pedernales Falls State Park.

Great for 2 people
My 20 YO son and I stayed here while on a little flyfishing trip around the area. It worked good for that. My son enjoyed walking the trails of the property. The front porch is a nice spot to sit and relax. Only bad part was the mosquitoes which were worse at night. I would stay again.

Quiet and Quaint
We had a wonderful quick visit to the cabin as we were in Johnson City for a wedding! I would highly recommend this stay to anyone! There is a ladder to the bed but it’s a nice ladder. The location of this property is great for exploring Johnson city! Less than 10 mins away :)

Serenity
The cabin was nice. Day bed was comfortable and eminties were nice. Only down fall was weak water pressure. But ill trade a few days of that for sitting on the porch, watching the birds and sunset. Wonderful location.

Two of us and our dogs stayed. We loved the trails that the host has maintained throughout their property. The time of year was peak for wild flowers which made for delightful strolling and dog walks. The cabin was perfect , we each had an area.

Great Location
Can't beat the location. 7 minutes from Pedernales Falls state and Johnson City. The climb up to the 2nd story loft felt a little treacherous at first, as my 6'6" height makes tight spaces always challenging. That said, I got used to the climb.
