Mel’s Place is a brand new luxury downtown home completed July 2021 with lots of street parking. It has 3 bedrooms with one bedroom with full bath on the ground floor and 3.5 full bathrooms in total. Its close to ALL the downtown Houston attractions. Are you here for work or for pleasure? Care has been taken to ensure your comfort and safety during your stay. This home is located near the Medical Center, Museums, restaurants, minute maid, NRG, Toyota Center, Galleria and plenty of other downtown Houston attractions. Sit back, relax and enjoy views of the downtown skyline from our back patio.

First, your health and safety is our concern. We use EPA certified cleaning products and extensively sanitize after each guest. My goal is to make your stay as pleasant and comfortable as possible. Our home is perfect for traveling professionals, first-time visitors to Houston and others who have been here before. This property is fully stocked and equipped for our guests. Some of the features are - Fully stocked kitchen - Smart TV - Private Parking - Dining Table & Chairs - Dishes - Washer & Dryer - Dishwasher - gas BBQ grill - games including connect 4, chess, ludo, Snakes and Ladder, I will do everything I can to accommodate your visit.

This was an awesome house. We needed a place close to Brown Center for an event. We stayed for 3 nights. Highly recommend this place. The host was awesome answered our queries immediately. Well equipped and very clean

Houston newer spacious home

Stayed there for Houston half marathon. Nice bedrooms each with bath upstairs, took advantage of washing machine/laundry available, easy in and out with garage, clean and quiet. Have to drive to any restaurants/stores. We enjoyed games available.

Beautiful home in the heart of the city

This home was beautiful and very close to the city which made it convenient to get around during our staycation. However, throughout our stay we discovered a few dead and live roaches around the house and in each of the 3 rooms. This could be due to the heat/time of year in Houston but overall we enjoyed our stay.

Hi Tiana! We have our home fumigated every month and with summer months in Texas, increased activity of critters are possible, even with enforcing best cleaning practices. If you had brought it to my attention, I would have had cleaner come out to clean again. Hope you made it back home safely Daisy

Beautiful home

The listing is very accurate. Beautiful home in excellent condition. House is three levels which I didn’t realize. Neighborhood appears to be a revitalization area with many new properties. Communication with owners was prompt and courteous.

Fantastic stay minutes from downtown Houston

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The townhome was clean, very comfortable, attractive, and well appointed, just as described. Communications with the owner were prompt and helpful. We had no hitches in our stay and would stay there again. As others have noted, this townhome is located in a neighborhood that is in transition, in a positive direction. There is lots of new construction happening here. We had a positive experience with the neighborhood, and used Uber a couple times to get around.

Loved this home beautiful decor as shown in the photos. Cozy, Clean & spacious. Great location, close to downtown. House was equipped with everything we needed, even games for when we wanted to stay in. Will definitely recommend and stay again when in Houston. The only thing I would suggest is adding a full body mirror as we love to check ourselves out before heading out. Overall great experience. :)

Redeveloping Neighborhood

We were on a golf trip and the house was perfect for us. Location gives easy access to downtown, sports venues and freeways. Three ensuites were great. There are a lot of stairs to be aware of if that is a concern. The area is being redeveloped and there weren’t any restaurants etc. close by and we didn’t feel comfortable walking the neighborhood. Ubers are easy to acquire.

Reviews are accurate.

Reading the other reviews, they are pretty accurate. They were several dead bugs throughout the home, which didn’t bother us. To me, that only means whatever poison they are putting down for them is working. Other than that, the house was very clean! The home’s location is so very close to everything I had on my itinerary. Location is perfect! The home is so lovely! Beautifully decorated! And it’s only right that it should have a full length mirror. A house full of women and we really needed one. IYKYK. Whenever I reached out to the owner, she replied very promptly. We arrived in HTX a little earlier than expected, and we had no problem with checking in a little early. The only thing that gave us some difficulties were the fan/light remotes and the thermostat. The thermostat would reset after 2 hours and sometimes it would get pretty warm. When using the fan remotes, one remote would control the other fans and lights on the other 2 floors as well. So when turning my light off and fan on, it would turn someone else’s light on and fan off. One night this gave us a really good laugh lol. And a couple of the remotes didn’t work. One didn’t have a battery and the other remote needed a new battery. It also seemed to us that nobody had been to the home in a while. Not in a bad way. You could just tell though. And I can’t forget about the mattresses! They were sooo comfortable! Overall, the home 10/10. I would highly recommend. And I would definitely stay again!

Awesome house

Love the house, the neighborhood was iffy at first but they were so nice and friendly! The house could use body mirrors, it has plenty of space. I love how big the rooms are bathrooms were. 10/10 recommend
