Ask a questionAbout Michelle and Shannon
My husband and I purchased 12 acres of land in 2013 surrounded by the Great Smoky Mountains National Park and the Nantahala National Forest. Little did we know (for the thick pine saplings) that we had a Million Dollar View of a Horseshoe Bend on Fontana Lake and the Great Smoky Mountains National Park! It took viewing Google Maps to see what a gem we had found. We moved to Bryson City after selling our home and printing business in Fletcher NC (close to Asheville). My husband grew up in Bryson City, and I fell in love with this "Gateway to the Smokies" town when we built a house boat at Almond Boat Park in 2013, that now floats on Fontana Lake. We purchased this tiny house to live in while we built "Eagle's Landing" 749709 and "Eagle's Nest" 775023. This is a completely different lifestyle than we're used to, and we are incredibly Grateful for all the Love, Support, and Divine Miracles that We have been Blessed with along the way. Now that we've completed building and have moved into our dream home, we're ready to share the "Tiny Tuck" with you!
Why Michelle and Shannon chose Swain County
There's a Peace here that we've never felt before. This place is awe - inspiring. It almost forces you to stop in your tracks every time you look outside. We're sharing the Tiny Tuck to give our guests an opportunity to feel they're floating on water...and sometimes in the clouds. This tiny house offers all the comforts of home with a large 350 sq ft (partially covered) deck that extends out over top of Fontana Lake. From the theatrical morning sunrise to the day's last light, the show this magical place performs is ever changing and always jaw dropping.
What makes this House unique
The Tiny Tuck offers everything our larger cabins provide on a smaller scale. It accommodates 2 people comfortably, while featuring the same rare views of Fontana Lake and the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Bald Eagles have nests close by so more than likely you'll see them flying pretty close to this home. They love to land in the surrounding trees. Often, you'll witness other animals swimming in the lake or walking on the lake banks, like deer, bear, otters, and elk. This home allows an opportunity to get immersed in nature. It provides a healing respite, a romantic hide away, a fisherman's paradise, or a 2 person get away. However you enjoy your time here, you are bound to experience the wonder of nature surrounded by singing birds, and breathtaking atmospheric changes over the Lake and Park.
