Most rentals are just places to sleep, not this place. We enjoyed the sunrises here and in the afternoon/ evenings having dinner and relaxing by the fire. Beautiful view. The rental has everything you need to cook. I also enjoyed the many books and pamphlets about the local history and wildlife.Thank you for making our stay wonderful.
Me and my girlfriend decided to book a getaway trip in the mountains for Valentine’s Day and we quite literally found the perfect spot. The views all weekend were amazing from the time we got there till the time we left. We got to catch the sunrise and the sunset, and at night we got to see all the stars. The hosts were nothing short of amazing; some of the nicest people! They communicated with us and made the whole trip so smooth and enjoyable. I highly recommend staying here, because it is a place that you will make memories for a life time and get to relax in the piece and quiet without anyone bothering you and not having to worry about a thing. We will definitely be back and can’t wait to stay again!
The cabin was on a mountain not a lake. Very nice cabin with kitchenette. Beautiful views. Mountain road is challenging.

We never advertised that we’re on a lake so I’m confused by your comment about no lake nearby. That is absolutely true. Everything in our description, listing, etc. indicates that our rental is located at the top of a mountain in the Blue Ridge Mountains. So I don’t know where you got that information which may have led to less than a five star review.
I’m very disappointed you didn’t give our Rental five stars because you wrote such wrote lovely things in the guest book in our rental.
Tess and Steve are so friendly and helpful, even calling our attention to hawks that were kettling outside our guesthouse on their migration to the south! Beautiful, clean accommodations - and breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains and autumn leaves! Thank you both so much for such a memorable experience!
Property was very picturesque with fantastic views and the Appalachian Trail is within walking distance. Very restful and rejuvenating atmosphere…plenty of peace and quiet and local wildlife. The hosts were wonderful and very helpful. This place was everything I expected and more. Would definitely return to visit again!
The house was extremely clean. Fully stocked. An amazing experience. The views from the deck were amazing. The drive to the top of the mountain was surely worth the view of the Shenandoah Valley.
The views from the porch is amazing. Some of our hikes to summits had a less beautiful view. Nice place with cute decor and everything you need to cook and hang out. The mountain road up is worth the ride.We really loved our trip and stay.
We loved our stay at this property! The view was amazing and the accommodations were very clean, spacious, well-equipped and comfortable! Tess was a great hostess and communication was prompt and effective. The rental was a little closer to the owners house than we thought based on the property description. The outdoor amenities such as the chiminea are positioned for privacy opposite the side of the host home. The roads to the cabin are narrow and unpaved with switchbacks making it a little more challenging to navigate. Overall, it’s an amazing view and comfortable stay!
The property is immaculate, and the host is exceptionally accommodating. A wide range of essentials is provided, including shampoo, bug spray, grilling plates, utensils, cups, coffee, and even blankets for cooler evenings. Still, the true highlight of this stay is the breathtaking view—sunrises and sunsets are just steps from the bedroom, offering a remarkable experience from dawn to dusk.Although the access road requires a short hike, even with a 4x4, the location is undeniably a hidden gem. We were pleasantly surprised to learn that the host is installing lights around the grilling area, as we had used our vehicle’s headlights for illumination. The attention to detail and responsiveness were greatly appreciated. We look forward to returning

Thank you for your lovely review. We’re so glad you enjoyed your stay!
I do just want to clarify that there is no hike to get to the rental, renters drive right up to the guest house door. There is hiking or driving involved to get to a beautiful hiking area on the Appalachian Trail nearby the Rental.
View was amazing, house had everything we needed for an enjoyable stay. Hosts were very responsive and helpful. The community pool is very nice as well!
What a view! We enjoyed our stay at 3100 feet. It was worth the ride on the unpaved path to the top! We had a comfortable and peaceful time, staying very comfortably at the top of the world. Hosts are lovely and friendly. Had car trouble, and the nearby car repair helped us while we waited. Loved our place! Thank you!
We had an emergency and were unable to stay. The host was wonderful and maintained great contact. She went above and beyond to accommodate the situation.
