Overview

About the property

Relax and enjoy the lights of Victoria and Vancouver Island. Watch cruise ships glide by in the straits of Juan de Fuca. This Olympic Peninsula home sits on 3 acres and is suited for comfort, relaxation and is the perfect location for exploring the Olympic National Park with easy access to Lake Crescent, Hurricane Ridge, Solduc Hot Springs and the beautiful coastline. From this property, you have a short walk to the boat launch and a beautiful county park of Freshwater Bay. Kayaking and Fishing are very popular here. You will also enjoy beach combing and exploring tide pools. A keen eye might catch sight of the local sea otter family or even a whale pod passing by.

There are spectacular views from every room in the house. You will enjoy just sitting and watching the beautiful sunsets and sunrises. On occasion you will see several deer, many types of birds and even some wild bunnies. Sit back and enjoy the peacefulness the Pacific Northwest has to offer.

The living room is big and spacious, adjacent to the open dining room and kitchen. It’s the perfect area for interacting with friends and family even while preparing meals. Off this area there is a large wrap around deck great for soaking up the sun, Barbecuing or star gazing. Be sure to check out the stars on at least one night during your stay. This property is Amazing for star gazing.

The home is unique in its sleeping arrangements. It sleeps 2-12 people (Additional fee of $25.00 per person per night for over 10 people)

The First Bedroom at the top of the stairs is the largest of the three. This room has a King Bed and a small area with a twin bed.

The Second bedroom is unique in the fact it is a two story room .The lower level with its large Bay window has a queen and a twin bed for sleeping. Climb the winding staircase to the beloved room called “The Tower room.” The tower room is a Favorite of many of our guests especially the children. Adults love the coziness and tranquility of this room while the children can imagine living in a real fairy tale. It’s a great place to retreat and read a book. This room contains a Full Size Bed and reading area. The spectacular straits of Juan de Fuca and Mt Angeles can be viewed on both levels.

The Master bedrooms greatest asset is the Spectacular view along with its own private deck where you can view a large portion of the property, see wildlife and witness spectacular sunrises. In the connecting bathroom there is a Jacuzzi bathtub ready for you to relax and soak your aching muscles you may have from hiking the near by trails. This room has a King Bed.

Another favorite room is the wonderful game room, which includes a pool table, TV and a table for playing board games or working on a jigsaw puzzle. We have a DVD player along with a small selection of movies and board games for family entertainment. This room has two Full size Futons and a Queen Blow up. The property has wifi.

Extra blankets are also provided.

On the property you will find a fire pit, barbecue, picnic tables and plenty of chairs. Please enjoy a picnic, roast marshmallows, or just sit back and relax. The grounds are beautiful and worth exploring. There is a double swing in the southwest corner where you can relax and take in the view of the straits. On a perfectly clear day out of nowhere, Mt. Baker will appear in the distance in all its grandeur. It’ an Amazing sight we hope you get to enjoy.

We would like to invite you to the Olympic Peninsula and stay in this inviting home while you explore all the magic the Pacific Northwest has to offer.

We were very happy.

  • 5 of 5

My daughter is a marathon swimmer who was ready for her solo swim from Port Angeles to Victoria, BC. With her support crew and our family we needed room for 9 people.

The house was perfect...with comfortable beds for everyone and a kitchen/dining area that provides a all the equipment we need and a great setting for our meals

Even better than expected

  • 5 of 5

The property and location were beautiful. 2 families of 4 stayed at the house. There were enough beds for everyone and even a few to spare. We stayed at the house while we were visiting Olympic National Park. It was very close and convenient. Anthony was very welcoming and available for questions. We would definitely stay again.

Owner's Response: Thank you. Yes. The feeling of the soft water is one of the few Cons we have found. Being on the well has provided clean fresh drinking water free of chemicals. The natural minerals in the water are great for the hair and skin. It just takes alittle getting used to after being on City water. Thank you for choosing The Freshwater Bay Treetop House. We are glad you enjoyed your stay!

Perfect get away!

  • 5 of 5

Anthony was so friendly and accommodating. The property is gorgeous. The house was immaculate. Plenty of room for our 9 people! This property has a zen feel to it. My wife commented numerous times on the peaceful energy that was prevalent and even tangible every time we came back to the house. We loved it and will return!

Family Celebration

  • 4 of 5

We had a wonderful time at the property, within 15 minutes of arrival we were visited by a bald eagle and 3 deer...incredible. Our party of nine (3 families) with 3 children ranging from 5-12 had an amazing time. The property is well located and only a short car ride to Lake Crescent, Hurricane Ridge, Sol Duc and Port Angeles. Supermarket is only 15 minutes away so you can cook in the well appointed kitchen.

We would definitely come back and recommend it.

Spectacular views!

  • 4 of 5

This is a very special property with spectacular views all around. Anthony has done a nice job of setting up comfortable seating areas all around the property to enjoy time together, or peaceful time alone. We were two families with 4 children ranging from 6 to 12, and everyone was able to find their own space.

We did short day trips to Hurricane Ridge and Lake Crescent, but also just enjoyed time simply relaxing and enjoying this house. I would recommend this spot to anyone visiting the Olympic Peninsula.

The only thing I would recommend is some additional kitchen basics. While the home is well equipped with appliances, it would have been helpful to have a few other essentials like a large baking dish, or food storage containers. We were traveling from the east coast, so could not bring supplies of our own for cooking for a large group.

Other than that, this is a beautiful and very comfortable property. We enjoyed our time at this location very much! Thank you!!!
