Your hosts, Tom and Deb have lived in the area since 2002, although Tom grew up just across the highway and knows the region quite well. After a 26 year career in the USAF, Tom and Deb decided to move back to his native roots. We love the area with so much beauty and peace. We just want to share this experience with everyone.
Tom or Deb Jordan purchased this cabin in 2002
This little cabin is located near our home, a mountain lodge (which we also rent out in the summer).
Hiking fishing, white water rafting, mountain biking are all activities on or near the property. Just the views from the cabin's elevated deck offer the peace and quiet of mountain living. A unique setting, centrally located to many of Colorado's major attractions. Cabin in the Pike is perfect for relaxing in the sun at the pool, or setting out on day excursions for Colorado's best sight seeing.
This property is absolutely beautiful... The little cabin is tucked in the woods with huge boulders in the background. The inside is all wood panels with a beautiful stone fireplace and chimney. It's two stories with lots of privacy and excellent views from every advantage point. You can even watch the deer and elk while bathing in the jaccuzzi bathtub. For a quiet evening, enjoy the cool mountain air with a glass of wine on the wraparound deck. This deck is huge and boasts a wonderful picnic table, grill, and lounge chairs. Just a few steps away is the most unusual mountain swimming pool. Plenty of walking trails and very convenient to the city of Denver. It's truly nature at its best without the long drive. Awesome!
This is our second time at the cabin. We love this place. Tom and Deb are amazing. They did everything to accommodate us. Our schedule changed and we had to modify things. No issues at all. They were helpful and easy about the whole thing.
Cabin is so cozy and perfect for my husband, our 2 dogs and I. It We love the views. The Cabin has everything you need to feel like you are at home. It is hard to leave such a wonderful place. I have told everyone I know about this place and highly recommend going. You won't be disappointed.
We can't wait to go back next year.
We've never enjoyed such a relaxing and quiet vacation as that of the Cabin in the Pike. We weren't sure as to what to expect since our past vacations always included attractions to see, this was Nature in its true beauty. It's amazing how wonderful the immense silence we experienced was the entire time. This is what a vacation should be; relaxing, reflecting, and reconnection with yourself and spouse. Thanks to Tom and Deb for offering such an incredible property. This is a place we will return.
We had a beautiful one week stay in this cabin, which was perfect. The cabin was well equipped with everything we needed for our stay. It was a pleasure to meet Deb and we enjoyed a blissful week. Thank You!
We tucked in a short retreat within a business trip, and we were so pleased with our experience. The cabin was exactly what we needed so that we could unplug for a few days. The setting is relaxing yet with the modern amenities we wanted. Great location. We can't wait to return!
We stayed here on our honeymoon and could not have been happier. We were able to go do daily things in Colorado Springs, Denver, and even Estes Park. Tom and Deb give a great book with tips of where to go. That lead us to a beautiful place up the mountain with a BEAUTIFUL view that we will never forget. The cable happened to be out when we were there (which wouldn't have been a big deal), so they gave us their personal dvd collection to use while we were there. They are the sweetest; they made our stay even better. We could not have picked a better place. We hope to return soon!
My wife and I were in Denver for a wedding and found the Cabin in the Pike online. Booking the weekend was very smooth. If you think the pictures look great you should see it in person. Upon arrival, Deb met us in person and gave us a tour of the retreat and a cool back story about the history of the Cabin in the Pike. We loved it immediately! Very cozy place. We stopped ahead of time and bought groceries to cook in the full kitchen. The grill outside worked awesome for burgers too! There is a hiking trail right outside the door which takes you in and out of the Pike National Forest. It was very beautiful!! (It is bear and mountain lion country, so bring the bells and spray). It is a beautiful forty minute drive up to Denver or you can stop Sedalia and get a world famous burger. Next time in Denver we will definitely stay again!
Cabin in the Pike is located just 7 miles west of Sedalia on CO State Hwy 67 in the beautiful Jarre Canyon. We are just 8 miles from the South Fork of the South Platte River.
