Lovely Poolside Condo in an Oceanfront Building!

Welcome to Dolphins and Dunes!

Our condo is conveniently located right off the large, glistening pool, where you'll find top-of-the-line Viking gas grilling stations and beautiful teak outdoor furnishings. It's the perfect spot to enjoy off-beach time in the sun with your family.

Inside, Dolphins and Dunes is beautifully decorated with large, comfortable furniture. You'll find a full-size gaming table with bumper pool, and the condo is fully stocked with everything you need to start your vacation hassle-free! The living area features a couch that seats 5-6 people and can convert to a queen-size bed (the sectional pieces move to create the bed).

The primar bedroom offers a king poster bed, and the second bedroom includes a twin-over-full bunk. Each room has its own large flat-screen TV with great movie selections and a variety of board games. Be sure to take advantage of the game table and wireless internet!

Dolphins and Dunes also includes access to all Sanctuary amenities, such as all three pools, courtyard Viking gas grills, and two fitness gyms. You will receive two parking passes: one reserved for this condo and one for open parking in a covered parking garage. Extra parking and street parking are also available.

Please note that all three swimming pools are open annually from Memorial Day through September, and their availability may vary depending on the weather.

PLEASE NOTE: THE SANCTUARY PLANS TO OPEN ITS POOLS AND FITNESS CENTER MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND THROUGH LABOR DAY. THE CONDO ASSOCIATION HAS THE RIGHT TO CLOSE THE POOLS AT ANY TIME AND WE ARE UNABLE TO CONTROL THIS. COULD BE CONSTRUCTION, WEATHER, REPAIRS, ETC.

Nice place 30 minutes away from VB

We had a great stay. We came for a softball tournament and were pleased with the setup and accommodations. The owners made sure we had everything to have a great week including a beach supply closet. We will be back!

Renter beware….

The condo itself is spacious and modern. However, the building complex itself is disgustingly dirty. The place is over run with spiders, cobwebs and other bug infestations. The building is run down and shows signs of log term neglect. Pools were small and always overcrowded. Wouldn’t recommend any condo at The Sanctuary at False Cape!

Nice condo/ couldn’t use patio

The condo is clean, organized and huge. We were not allowed to use our outdoor patio or pool because the floor was being resurfaced. There was a big, yellow “caution” tape sign across our patio glass doors. We were also not allowed to use the pool or grills on the condo floor. The building is huge and you go through a maze to get anywhere. This did not add to the ambiance. We were not informed ahead of time of this problem

A Dolphins and Dunes 116 B

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: For the most part, our stay at the condo was very nice. It was quiet and the location near the pool was ideal for our family of two small children. However, I was not impressed with the cleanliness. Quite frankly, the condo was filthy. The rugs in the bathrooms were covered in sand when we arrived, food spills in the fridge, hair and flickering lights in the bathroom. One bathroom only had one working bulb. It was very dark and very dirty. The blankets on the couch had an odor along with old spills on the couch. On our final night there, I checked under the master bed to make sure we didn’t leave anything, and much to my surprise, I found someone’s shorts hanging from the bed frame that didn’t belong to our family. I did reach out to the rental company, and they promptly messaged me stating they would send the cleaning personnel back the following day. By that day, we had our stuff moved in and didn’t feel comfortable having someone cleaning around us. It should’ve already been done.Also, the refrigerator would occasionally leak water on the floor and no water and ice hookups on the fridge worked. We will not be returning to this unit.

Quiet Beach Getaway

Our stay at "Dolphins and Dunes" was very comfortable and very convenient to be oceanfront. There isn't much commercial on the 5 mile sandbridge stretch, so you'll need to do a 15/20 minute drive to get to major shopping. Not too far to main part of Virginia beach other. The apartment was a good size and was nice to be located next to a pool. The downers are that the pool can get crowded, there are a lot of mosquitos and biting insects (given the proximity to the wildlife refugee and because Sandbridge is essentially wetlands). The benefit of staying at Sanctuary complex is that two of the four restaurants/place to eat on the strip are located in the complex and across the street (Mexican Restaurant (Jose Tequilas) and an American Grill (Baja). For beach goers, it has a nice long stretch of beach that doesn't get too crowded like main part of Virginia beach and the water was pretty calm when we went there. For those who like to fish the Little Island Park pier is right next to the complex and is about 5-10 minute walk depending if you enter the pier from the parking lot or from walking down the beach. Overall, we had a good time and the property managers were very helpful and were proactive in making sure that we checked in okay.

Relaxing Beach Getaway!

Our stay in Sandbridge couldn't have been better! The condo had everything we needed and more. The decor was lovely, the kitchen was well stocked, and the beds were fabulous. Having access to the pools, bay, and beach within walking distance was amazing. It was awesome to give our kids some freedom to explore in such a safe family setting. Have a few restaurants in walking distance was also a nice treat. If you are looking for a lovely beach vacation, I would highly recommend these accommodations!

Great condo on the beach!

Clean, well-equipped condo with easy beach access. It had everything we needed. However, the combination door lock failed and locked us out one day. Fortunately the rental company reacted quickly and within about 30 minutes provided us with keys. A dead battery was the culprit. The unit also has very poor internet service. Not a problem except when trying to call the rental company about the door issue. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would consider returning.

Nice & relaxing

This was a nice trip & great place to stay. I unfortunately the pools and pool bar etc were not open. Beach was cool - stayed over spring break. VA beach boardwalk is abt 25 min drive. Location at the end of road next to state park.

Great location for pool

Constant confusion

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Many communications and many confusions. Things I was told did not exist. I stuffed a duffle bag with all sorts of paper goods just to find it was all available. Kitchen soap all there with a new sponge including dishwasher soap. I was told a few times that a place across the street had breakfast lunch and dinner so we brought no food. That place only opened for dinner. That would have been fine if we had a car but we didn't. Many places did not deliver to our address. Pool bar never opened nor did that pool. I never found the Jacuzzi. I brought a bunch of towels which I did not need for they were provided. Never saw a person to change the sheets or towels which is listed as complimentary. The pressure to leave the premises by 10 am due to cleaning was a waste of a day. You sign up and pay for three days ,what you get is two days because you can't check in till after four. The directions for our condo was so confusing cause there were no signs. I studied the map and location of our condo before I left home is the only reason I knew the way . since we did not have a car the going through the parking deck made no sense.Once inside the condo it was wonderful!!! The beach ment everything to me and we most certainly spent all our time walking and swimming.All in all the accommodation was perfect! Next time I will know exactly what to expect. The owners also left salt and pepper with spices which was a nice surprise.

Lovely getaway

Nice, clean, comfortable, well appointed, modern condo. Wish we could have stayed longer. Super easy access to the beach. It's an interior condo, so not a lot of light (or cell service) but very convenient to the pool and grills if that's your thing. I imagine it's quite noisy in season. Was disappointed that the hot tubs were not open, though. Great kitchen for cooking which is good, as food delivery seemed spotty.
