The Emerald Isle complex is situated right on the beach on gorgeous Okaloosa Island! Western view is of the Destin Sound- part of the Intercoastal Waterway, overlooking yachts, fishing craft, and beach homes. The beachside pool is spectacular with a handy ramp down to the beach for easy access. The pool area has plenty of lounge chairs and a picnic area complete with grills for a juicy steak on a balmy night.

Relaxing Trip

This is a very nice place to stay, we had a unit that looked directly out to the water from our balcony. We had a little confusion finding our parking space, but once we found it were very happy as it was in the shade a good part of the day and easy enough to get in and out of, close to the elevator was a bonus. The unit is very spacious, kitchen a little cramped but 3 of us really like cooking and and we did prepare most of our meals in the unit. The beds were comfortable for us, we all liked the pillow top style, pillows were also good for us. Plenty of towels for showers, you to need to bring your own beach towels. The only "problem" we had was figuring out how to reserve beach chairs, the number on the umbrellas had us leave a message, the return message said look for the guys putting them out, never could find him until the afternoon when he was picking them up..... but again this was the only issue and really not a big one. The beach was beautiful!!!! We have decided to take this trip again and hoepfully stay here.

Great Location not so clean though.

It was simple to rent the property and it was as listed; however, having stayed at this location previously, we were disappointed that the cleanliness was not like when we were there before. For example, the first evening there, I dropped a few ice chips in the kitchen floor and wiped it up with a paper towel. I was shocked to see that the paper towel turned light brown from the dirt on the kitchen floor. My husband splashed a bit of water that night out of the bathroom sink and the wash cloth he used to wipe it up with also turned light brown. We also noticed a smell like dirty socks when we first entered the unit. I really hope the property mgt. folks get on top of their cleaners...this was disappointing.

Fantastic life break.

Went down just to get away from work; quiet area and while there was renovation construction, it stopped during quiet hours and did not prevent us from having a great time.
