The Location: Siren's Song is located within an exclusive 400+ acre development, The Preserve at Botany Bay and a security gate manned 24/7. Siren’s Song is perched on its 2.5+ acre gated lot of cliff top land, with 700 ft of water front. A 5 min stroll takes you to the beach at Mermaids Chair, a sand bar that separates the Atlantic Ocean from the Caribbean Sea and connects St Thomas to a small island to the West, called Little St Thomas, owned by the Nature Conservancy.

The beaches of sand, shells, corals and pebbles are constantly changing with the winds and the tides. Just off shore the unspoiled coral reefs are alive with a multitude of live hard and soft corals and many different species of tropical fish.

The living area, dining area, five bedrooms and outdoor terrace have balconies with stunning 250+ degree sea views of uninhabited islands. On a clear day you can see St Croix to the South and Puerto Rico to the West. If you yearn for peace, serenity and tranquility away from crowds and traffic, and want an unforgettable island experience that few have been privileged to share, then Siren's Song will enchant you, yet its only a 20 min drive to downtown, abundant with activities and world class restaurants.

The House – Main Level: A terra-cotta replica Chinese emperor welcomes you into Siren's Song. As you enter, a cozy sitting area with six chairs and steps leading down to the pool level below. To your right is the gourmet kitchen, breakfast bar and dining area, with alfresco dining on the terrace beyond. The terrace has a gas grill and 2 dining tables each with a sun umbrella for shade and 6 chairs. The dining area has a 12 ft dining table with 14 matching dining chairs. To your left is a powder room, the living area with three comfy white sofas and media centers. Further to the left an archway leads to 3 air conditioned bedrooms ( 2 king and 1 twin) and 2 bathrooms. The king bedroom with forest views has a separate outdoor entrance. The main level has Italian ceramic tiles on the floors, with scattered rugs and natural wood ceilings. Furnishings are largely mahogany reproduction Caribbean antiques with art work collected from around the world.

The House – Upper Level: Siren’s Song’s upper level, accessed by a stylishly curved staircase from the main level has 4 air conditioned bedrooms, each with a 4 poster, king size bed and en-suite bath, and its own private balcony with sea and island views. There is a sofa bed in a smaller air-conditioned bedroom, which has an enclosed washer / dryer laundry, perfect for small children who must be near parents. Another sofa bed is on the large atrium landing of the upper level. A deck with chairs extends along a portion of the upper level, with forest views, swept by refreshing Caribbean trade-winds. The upper level has wooden floors, with scattered rugs and wooden cathedral ceilings. Furnishings are largely mahogany reproduction Caribbean antiques with art work collected from around the world.

The House – Pool Level: At the pool level, five fountains cascade into the infinity edge pool, which overlooks the lower level gardens, Caribbean Sea and several uninhabited islands. The pool is four feet deep and has benches along the sides for sitting in the pool. The pool is surrounded by green lawns and lawn furniture and there is a double sink wet bar. Additionally the pool level has a second grill and a refrigerator. There is also exercise equipment, pool toys, beach toys, a half bathroom, outdoor shower and second washer and dryer. Under the wet bar is snorkel equipment pool exercise equipment and fishing gear.

The Beach - a five minute stroll from Siren's Song is the beach at Mermaids Chair from which you can take a short hike across Little St Thomas to natural boulder rock pools washed by the sea. For the more adventurous a mile hike will take you to another beach within The Preserve at Botany Bay, called Sandy Bay. Mermaids Chair, Little St Thomas and Sandy Bay are generally deserted and you will probably be the only people there. Spend your sun spangled days snorkeling, shelling, beachcombing, fishing, hiking, kayaking, picnicking and luxuriating in the natural boulder pools.

About Sarah, Owner

My husband and I live outside of Boston with our two daughters. We are avid travelers who enjoy boating, scuba diving and time with our family.

Jeff is President & CEO of his company which develops and delivers UUV's and I own a travel agency.

As a result of all of our travels, we decided that we would like to purchase a second home in the USVI's, found Siren's Song and our search was over.

In a few years we plan on splitting our time between Boston and St. Thomas. In the mean time, we are excited to rent our home to all of you.

Sarah, Owner purchased this villa in 2005

Why Sarah, Owner chose Estate Little Saint Thomas

We purchased Siren's Song because it is breathtaking. When you walk through the front door all you can see is endless views of the Caribbean Sea and you never want to leave. The Estates at Botany Bay are private, away from the tourist areas but easy enough to get to the other areas on the island...and this was perfect for what we were looking for.

What makes this villa unique

Peace, serenity, space, amazing views, fabulous night skies - all away from the maddening crowds; yet very convenient being only 8 miles from the airport, 7 miles from lots of restaurants and bars, 15 miles from the golf club, etc

Awesome and amazing

  • 5 of 5

A lovely villa in a very special location. For our previous visits to the USVI we have always stayed in a villa in the National Park on St John, but the Preserve at Botany Bay is so very much better than anywhere on St John. This place is untouched by tourism, pure natural beauty. We had the beaches to ourselves most days. The beaches, land and corals are pristine. We really enjoyed the peaceful serenity, yet its only a 15 minute drive to all the action and world class restaurants in Charlotte Amalie.

Siren's Song is located above a cliff, with a 5 minute stroll to the beach. The 270 degree views of ocean, occasional sailboats and many uninhabited islands are amazing. The layout of the rooms with the huge great room worked really well for our family. There were 12 of us and we were all able to eat around the same large table.

The listing is accurate and the location even better than the description. The property is beautifully maintained, we couldn't have wished for anything better. We will be back.

Definitely recommended.... 6stars

Loved this Villa and view!

  • 5 of 5

When you drive through Botany Bay to get to the villa, you realize that this is the 'gem' of St. Thomas. Peaceful, serene and unbelievable views.

The views from the villa were some of the best views we had on the island. Morning coffee on the terrace and evening sunsets were my favorite part of the day.

Our teenage daughters could easily walk to Mermaids Chair within a few minutes and because its a gated community, many days we were the only ones on the beach.

The villa itself had everything we needed. Open, spacious and very well taken care of. The en suite bathrooms were a bonus when traveling with our daughters!

We loved it so much we are returning again March 2018!

Exceeded all expectations

  • 5 of 5

Siren's Song exceeded all our expectations, which were very high to start with. This villa and its surroundings are absolutely spectacular. We've stayed many times in the Caribbean, but nothing comes close to Siren's Song, which is spacious and very well appointed with every amenity we could wish for. The views are incredible and magnificent. The location is private, serene and peaceful- its like being on a private island and yet only a 15 minute drive to all the activities of Charlotte Amalie

This was the best family vacation ever. There were 14 of us and we could all eat round the 12 ft dining table. The infinity edge pool with built in seats is just great for all ages. The peaceful lower gardens are ideal to relax with a good book. The kids had fun kicking around balls on the "tennis court" sized lawn. We had never before seen night skies with such clarity, because there is no light pollution at Siren's Song.

We really enjoyed being so close to Mermaids Chair beach and strolling down in a few minutes whenever we felt like it. We didn't see another person on the beach for our entire stay.

Fabulous

  • 5 of 5

Siren's Song is fabulous, and exceeded all our expectations, which were very high to start with! The location is amazing, a huge, private, exclusive development, called the Preserve at Botany Bay, with very few houses on large, multi acre lots - great for hiking. The views from Siren’s Song are unbeatable, almost 360 degrees of ocean views with uninhabited islands scattered around and the occasional sailing boat. On clear days we could see St Croix, and Puerto Rico. At night the stars were magical, none of us had seen the Milky Way like that before. We loved the beach and coral reefs at Mermaids Chair – totally unspoiled, and virtually private. We dined in most times because no restaurant could compete with Siren’s Songs’ location. The owners are Rotarians and couldn't be more kind and helpful. Very Highly recommended.

Alaskan Vacation

  • 5 of 5

We found the property to meet or exceed all expectations. Everything was well maintained and we had access to assistance as needed (but not needed really). The owner's representative met us at the airport and guided us to the property. We were given a property tour and shown how everything works. We had one elderly couple with mild limitations and they were able to fully enjoy this vacation here. There was something for everyone including fishing, shopping, hiking, deer, secluded beaches (three within hiking distance from the property - but also with auto access). snorkeling, and diving. A car is a requirement here as town is a moderate (20-25 minutes) drive. The views from the house and the pool are breathtaking. We have stayed in many nice places around the Caribbean but this one holds a special place in our hearts. It is in a secluded spot but not far from Charlotte Amalie for those seeking shopping or night life. The listing gives an accurate description of the property and the photos simply do not do it justice. If you think the pictures look great - just wait til you arrive and see the real thing. I highly recommend a vacation in this spot. When you go out to eat look for the place with the Green shutters (that are wide open) right on the waterfront (sorry but I have forgotten the name). It has great food and a really fun atmosphere. The happy hour is good as well. You can pick it out as many of the workers in the shops hit that spot after the cruise ships leave and the shops close. I do recommend getting a schedule of cruise ship arrivals and avoiding town on the busiest days. Days with only 1-3 ships are best. Also if you go to Megan's beach. do so on a day with fewer cruise ships or go in the late afternoon as the cruise folk will be leaving. That is definitely worth a trip while on St Thomas. When you go for a drive, plan plenty of time, drive slowly and enjoy the views (the roads are narrow and very curvy with little or no shoulder). The driver must pay attention carefully. Best if there are multiple drivers so you can take turns as it is difficult to observe the scenery and drive at the same time. Don't forget that there is a Ferry to St John Island that can be done in a nice day trip - very worthwhile. I highly recommend a longer stay here (over 1 week) as it will give you time to settle into the pace of Island life and explore this place leisurely.
