The Shackleton home is a modern house in the center of Old Bisbee .The living room has high ceiling and real wood-burning fireplace. Beautiful patio accessed from living room through 12' opening bi-fold doors. The two bedrooms have French doors opening to the patio so when everything is open, outside and inside seem to merge. Bedrooms and bathrooms are in two separate wings of house that affords extra privacy when two couples are staying. The view from the patio is towards downtown and looks directly at the mountains, particularly the iconic 'B' mountain which is straight ahead. Downtown is a 5min walk, max. There are about 12 gentle wide steps to the property. There is off street parking for two compact cars.
The house is built of Rastra and the walls are 11' thick which offers good insulation; AC in one bedroom only. Each bedroom has its own bathroom close by.
The town has good restaurants and bars in short walking distance from house in both directions, about 200 yards, 5 min walk. Two food stores, Mimosa's and High Desert Market just a few minutes walk away.
House particularly affordable because only extra charge is State Tax, No cleaning charge, No damage deposit, no pet fee, Cancellation fee very low at anytime after booking($60).

I've had vacation homes in this town for 35 years and love it because of it history, weather and physical beauty. The town is nestled in a valley of the Mule mountains. It's a liberal oasis in a generally conservative area
Biking, hiking, birding. Hanging out in local restaurants and bars. Enjoy the artist galleries. Bisbee is the friendliest of towns with active social scene.
Cedric was a gem to work with. His kitchen had everything and the pots and pans were quality, much easier to cook and clean. Bisbee is a fun place. we enjoyed sitting on the patio, star gazing. We will be back. thanks Cedric!
Lovely home in a charming town. Owner is very nice. Would love to return
I've stayed here twice now. Location is awesome. Close to downtown but just far enough away to not hear the noise. Lovely views. House is excellent. Gotta love a hot tub after climbing all those stairs all day.
Visited four years ago at this time of the year. We thought going back probly would be ok ...how could we have a fabulous repeat of a former visit. Last time we were here we broke our necks getting out and riding every rode in a 75 mile radius. This time...we are retired and I guess more relaxed...we just enjoyed walking around town every day to get our exercise then hopped in the car and revisited some very special places.
Top of the list for us are driving up to Montezuma Pass in Coronado National Monument. Challenging dirt road drive up to a view that is ...well it’s a view! The Whitewater Draw. Go out Double Adobe road to Central road and go north and watch for the signs to a place that will surprise you in December...just a few thousand Sandhills Cranes and other migratory birds just taking a break while heading south for the winter...we’ll thats a sight! The San Pedro House and the San Pedro Riparian area is a treasure. The birds this time of year are plentiful but the walking along the river under really huge old growth cottonwood trees is such a serene experience. It actually quiets my mind and s visit we discovered Santiagos and the magic of fish tacos. Had really nice Christmas Eve meal at Cafe Roka. It was a great time and we can’t wait to return to enjoy Cedric’s Hospitality.
We just spent two nights in Bisbee -- one of our favorite haunts. We have had our eye on Cedric's house for several years -- but it's always booked. We finally got lucky and it was great. Cedric is an excellent owner and easy to work with. The house is perfectly located, well appointed, a great design. We especially liked the openable window wall. We have stayed in many different places in Bisbee and we'll definitely do this one again.
We loved Cedric’s place. It was clean and had everything we needed. Enjoyed the hot tub and fireplace. Decor and reading material made us even more excited about Bisbee. The view from porch was amazing! Hope to come back again.
