Home is nice.

  • 4 of 5

The property was nice and we enjoyed our stay. The jetted bathtubs were great. According to my husband we will now be renovating our bathroom to include one of those because he loved it so much. The horses across the street were a highlight of the trip - the girls loved feeding them carrots (we received permission first). The home was clean and close to downtown. The only problem was that Helen was a ghost town (we visited late February) which was a disappointment. We couldn't find an open ice cream shop after dinner around 7:30. I mean it was truly a ghost town, putt putt places closed, downtown shops and restaurants closed, etc. We ended up eating at the same pizza place for two nights in a row because the options we so limited. Completely different experience than my brother and I remember fifteen years ago. This is obviously not the home owner's fault, but I wanted to give others a heads up that this is a seasonal tourist town.
