The Garrison on the Lake

Enjoy this newly remodeled lake house for your long deserved vacation. This relaxing ranch allows you to walk ground level from your vehicle to the beautiful scenic home.

Upon your arrival, you are welcomed with all of the amenities you can think of. We bring your home to the lake! Fresh clean linens, coffee, soaps, shampoos, firewood, games and more! So bring the whole family and enjoy a great swim, a roaring fire and some amazing views. Life is better by the lake!

Hi! Just sending you some check in information. Checkin time is anytime after 4pm. Keys are in lock box. Wifi name is Lakeview. Let me know if you have any questions at anytime and enjoy your stay. Have a great day!

Very nice home right on the lake! My son had success fishing from the little dock. And my girls were able to paddle board. Very peaceful. Just what we were looking for.

Holiday Ski Trip

Our stay at the Garrison Cottage was perfect. A cozy stay and only a quick 20 minutes to Bristol Mtn. The cottage was very clean and modern updates inside. Our host was very responsive and answered questions quickly. May consider a summer visit to enjoy the backyard area on the lake!

Great find!

Found this property last minute when our other vacation rental fell through and we could not of been more impressed! Extremely clean, comfortable and welcoming. Excellent communication with renter. Beautiful setting in a friendly trailer park. Highly recommend!

Fall Getaway

Our family of four and 2 year old lab enjoyed our stay in early October. Cute little lake house with modern upgrades. We appreciated the extra touches for the dog (food dishes, ball, chain in the backyard). We lucked out with nice weather and enjoyed spending our Saturday fishing and hanging out by the lake. The arcade game was a fun touch for the kids and kitchen had everything we needed. We appreciated the clean linens. Look forward to returning again!

Amazing location and Host

The property is just like the pictures. Right up against the water and a gorgeous view to just sit and watch the boats or go take a dip in the lake. The property was incredibly clean and so well stocked. We had absolutely everything we needed: plenty of cookware, bathroom products (shampoo, soap, etc), towels, laundry supplies, and the list goes on. The area is cute and the locals are kind! The shed is filled to the brim with well taken care of lawn games that will have everyone entertained for hours. 5 stars isn’t enough it truly was a dream vacation

This was the 15th year our family has spent a summer week on either Canandaigua or Honeoye Lake. This property has a number of great features, including a very nicely appointed and comfortable house, large and flat back yard, lots of parking and very friendly neighbors (one of whom gave a pinwheel to my 7-month old grandson). However, one major drawback is the poor water quality and swimming conditions. The property is close to a north-facing cove that seems to trap seaweed and algae, and the lake bottom is very mucky. Unfortunately, none of our female family members would go in the water, unlike other places we stayed where the water quality was excellent.

Thank you for your feedback! :). Yes this year we have started to see an accumulation of seaweed growing or floating over. So owners are in process of getting a weed blower to keep it away. :)

Our family enjoyed four wonderful days at your home on the lake. The house was so nice and had everything we needed and more. Right down to the same bunk beds that we have in our vacation home :). We spent every night out by the fire pit, fishing, kayaking and just relaxing. We spent every morning sitting on the porch enjoying our coffee by the lake. We played games in the evenings and hiked, fished, golfed and shopped during the day. We also went to a winery and a brewery! The arcade game was a nice touch! It took us back :). We made the most of our four days there! Our yellow lab, Duke, also had a great time visiting your wonderful home and enjoyed his time outside with us and by the fire at night. Heaven!

This darling bungalow was immaculate and exactly as advertised. The pictures do not do it justice!!! The entire property is perfection right down to the branded soap and shampoo. Every little need was met with incredible care and attention to detail. They don’t say much about their soaker tub but we both enjoyed that too! While it was too cold And rainy for kayaking, we did have a nice fire in the pit and we enjoyed the tranquility of the home while enjoying the lake view. The bed was very comfortable and we were grateful for the generous coffee and condiments. Nice touch! We can’t wait to go back!

Fantastic place- even in winter

We were super impressed with this property. Very clean and comfortable. All new up-to-date materials and appliances. Stocked to the gills with lots of extra touches that you definitely don’t see most places. Everything you need to have an easy stay is inside. Everything is labeled and easy to find. Very reasonable price for the property. Host has immediate responses to questions. WIFI worked great. Verizon has strong 5 bar coverage. We stayed in the winter on a night that was 15 below zero (-15) and every one was plenty warm. This is a 12 min shot to Hunt Hollow for the races we were attending. We’d love to see this place in the summer as it would be a blast on the lake. Our family highly recommends this property. Thanks for a great stay.

Great lake vacation!

We spent a holiday weekend here with extended family. This place has everything- a great big flat yard, covered porch, outdoor furniture and hammocks, fire pit, boat dock, Weber grill, and access to the kayaks in the shed. Very clean and modern interior with a good sized kitchen. We loved our stay!

Perfection!

Can say enough about this place. It's in pristine shape. Cookies and coffee and wine were waiting for are arrival. Nothing we needed that wasn't supplied. We would definitely recommend this place. Great space outside for lawn games and relaxing, covered porch incase of rain and plenty of firewood, not to mention a gorgeous view.

Amazing place!

Amazing time had by all; from my 65 year old parents to my 2 year old daughter! Very comfortable home that was obviously completely updated inside. Super clean upon arrival with thoughtful little touches throughout the home (soaps, coffee, firewood) even cute animal towels in the rooms! Thank you shaun for answering all our questions so quickly especially during a holiday week. Wonderful weekend and will definitely be back!
