Why Lisa Rice chose Dunnellon

Relax on our huge deck on the river to enjoy the beautiful sunsets. Fish from our dock to catch big mouth bass. We have 3 single kayaks for you to explore all the nature that surrounds us. Our home is nestled in amongst 52 acres of woods yet the grocery, local restaurants, Rainbow Springs State Park, and antique shops are all less than 10 minutes away. Once you arrive at our home you would never know that civilization is close by. This is the perfect escape from our busy lives in the city.

What makes this house unique

The home is spacious and comfortable. Our favorite spot is our huge screened-in porch overlooking the Withlacoochee River as we play at our pool table. The deck creates a covered boat slip. Enjoy making smores with your family and friends at our fire pit area.

Guestbook comments from the owner

Thanks for your very kind review. I really enjoyed having you guys as guests and look forward to your next visit in April 2012. In the meantime the deck is waiting as well as the fishing gear. Thanks again, Harold Korb

Exceptional home and location. Everything you need is right here. The beds are comfortable, the deck is stunning as are the views at sunset. We saw gators and deer without even leaving the house. Lisa is very helpful and accommodating as we were booked to come down as hurricane Irma was arriving in Fla and we changed our dates to even better dates. I can't think of anything negative about this place and I know we will be going back.

Owner's Response: Thank you for your helpful kind review. It was a delight to meet you and your family and we were happy to accommodate the changes for your stay due to the hurricane. We are glad that your stay became even more special as you celebrated your anniversary and you got to witness your son being sworn in for passing the Florida Bar Exam. We look forward to your return and thank you for spreading the word about what a fun time you had at our home. If your friends are as nice as you all we are in for another wonderful experience. Kindest Regards, Lisa & Ray Rice

Perfect In Every Way !!!

  • 5 of 5

Thank you so much Lisa for sharing your awesome home with us for our belated anniversary and vacation. The house smelled of fresh baked bread upon arrival, which was fantastic. George fished just about everyday from the dock, I was not brave enough to go kayaking with the gators....But we did go kayaking down the Rainbow River. Mid week we also took an airboat road with Capt. Bob which I had been wanting to do for a long time.( It was awesome!) We checked out a lot of the antique shops along with all of the quaint shops in town as well. Probably hit most of the restaurants in town, some good and some never again...LOL...But if you want a good breakfast you need to go to the Biscuit Barn. Once back to the house for the evening, we'd spend time on the deck till dark then played pool for hours. There is one acrobatic squirrel here...I was on the deck and I had just bent down to see past the tree branch to watch the gator coming down the river when something jumped from the roof to the tree...he went whizzing past my head (if I had been standing up straight I do believe he would have landed on my head) That would not have been good for either of us...LOL...This house has everything you could ever need for your stay and the owner, Lisa is an absolute lovely person and fantastic to deal with. Hope to be back sooner than later.

Owner's Response: Toni and George we are so delighted that you enjoyed your week at our river home exploring all that our town of Dunnellon has to offer. We love to hear of the activities and restaurants our guests liked so we can recommend them to our future guests. We'll be sure to try the Biscuit Barn. Captain Bob is one of the most popular river tours in our area. Thank you for all of your kind words. I truly enjoyed meeting you and your husband and thank you for leaving our home as immaculate as when you arrived. We look forward to having you return sooner than later. Stay in touch! Kindest Regards, Lisa & Ray Rice

Beautiful setting for a getaway!

  • 5 of 5

Thank you, Lisa, for sharing your home with us. We really enjoyed the lovely setting among the trees....saw deer, gators, and lots of nature right from the dock. The house was perfect for our group of 6 and we enjoyed the screened porch the most....watching the world float by. I will send you some pics so you can add us to your wall of fame!
