South Kensington 2 bedroom penthouse with lush roof top garden

Recently refurbished two bedrooms, two bathrooms (one ensuite) flat in the heart of Boltons conservatory area, with a very large roofterrace.
The flat is at the third floor (no lift).
The living room is facing the communal gardens with a fabulous views and inundated by light most of the day.
The master bedroom has a king size bed and en-suite bathroom. The second bedroom has two single beds and there is a second toilet.
There is a large rooftop garden with table, chairs, BBQ and lights to enjoy alfresco dinners, accessible through an automatic sliding roof.
The area of Old Brompton Road is lively with some of the best Spanish, Indian and Japanese restaurants in London, nice bar, pubs and cafe.
The house is close to Glouchester Road and South Kensington tube station and there is a public bike rental available 200m away.

Wonderful location

The location of this stay was perfect, south Kensington, we felt very secure. it was easy to navigate using the rail system. The home had everything and the outside roof top was just what we needed on the end of our vacation. Giuseppe provided us with some restaurant recommendation which were delightful, we went to the Spanish restaurant twice, delicious. Recommendation would be to provide a guide book about the home.

Wonderful Stay

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Giuseppe’s apartment. The flat is lovely. It had everything we could possibly need. The rooftop patio was such a plus! Admittedly, the stair climb is challenging after a long day of site seeing but is a real pleasure once inside. Additionally, Giuseppe was available for any issue that popped up. Another plus is that the location of the property is close to many excellent restaurants and coffee bars. We truly enjoyed our stay!

Great location however we would opt for another property next time

My family of 4 rented this flat for our recent stay in London. I truly hate to leave any negative reviews, as I want to support people's business. I also feel that it would be helpful to others and hopefully the property owners so they can improve for future guests. The check in process was a bit odd, as we had to pick up the keys a ways down the road at a convenience store. There was no one to show us around the apartment. Also no information provided about how to use the flat, WiFi, etc. Upon entering the unit, the carpeting and walls were very dirty, many large stains on the carpet and numerous scratches along the walls. It just gave us the feeling that the owners didn't care about their renter's experience. There were wet towels strewn across drying racks in the living room and we only had 1 dry bath towel between the 4 of us. Also, when towels are air dried, they are very crunchy and not soft. The owner was cordial and apologetic and sent the housekeeper the following day to "bring fresh towels", however she simply rolled up the towels from the racks and left them on the dining table. The apartment is sparsely furnished as if some things were removed and not replaced. The bed sheets were thin and the mattresses seemed old, springy and not very comfortable. There was quite a lot of wear and tear that could easily be spruced up to make guests feel that they were valued. On a positive note, the unit is in a lovely neighborhood walkable to many restaurants and pubs!!

Very original and super location

We loved our 5 days at Giuseppe's place. Quiet neighborhood while minutes walking from everything, including museums, shopping, restaurants, shops, and Hyde Park. The flat had everything you can think off and was spacious for the 5 of us. Even got to enjoy the rooftop a couple of times between the rain falls.

Beautiful, quiet location.

We really loved this area of London. It’s quieter yet still close to the tube and easy to get anywhere you need to go. Plenty of pharmacies, restaurants and shops nearby. The flat was very clean and had a lot of space. Giuseppe was an excellent host who responded immediately to any questions. We really enjoyed our stay.

Beautiful rooftop and excellent communications with host.

Property is located near cafes, restaurants and shops with the a few tube stops close by. Nice walk to parks/gardens. Unit was very clean and baths and kitchen were nicely updated Note 2nd bedroom is small with a twin and a trundle.

Nice flat in a perfect location

My wife and two teenage sons thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. It's a great flat in a fantastic/beautiful area - close to restaurants/stores/tube. The flat has two bedrooms and two full baths (one en suite). The roof-deck was really nice too! We were all very comfortable and would definitely stay there again.

Great London Flat

Loved everything about his flat, I’m amazed at how central it feels yet how quiet it is at night. Giuseppe is fantastic communicator! Wish we could have enjoyed the roof top patio more, but time and weather wouldn’t allow it. Great place!

Bad odor in the stairwell going up to the apartment but ok once in the 4th floor apartment. Excellent location. Nice stay overall.

Great Stay

Wonderful stay. Apartment as described and was a great size. Big rooms, gorgeous roof and the location was spectacular. Classy south west london and super easy to access transport links. Communication with host always a breeze and he was super kind throughout the entire process. Such a great week and will be making an effort to stay there again in the near future!

Perfect location, perfect layout

I stayed here for a week with my mother and the flat is absolutely perfect. The location is a huge positive - easy access to the tube, restaurants, and shops. The neighborhood is beautiful. The size of the flat is also quite large with high ceilings, making for a spacious environment after longs days of moving about the city. The rooftop is a great bonus with lush plants and full seating area. Highly recommend and would stay again.

Gorgeous place

This wonderful apartment is clean and spacious, very comfortable and convenient with fully equipped kitchen, comfortable beds. Location is excellent. Quiet neighborhood with nice restaurants nearby. The roof space is beautiful and though we used it not so much, the daylight coming through the roof fills you with happiness.

A lovely flat

We have stayed in many VRBO properties and this one is the best to date.. We spent almost a week in this flat and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It was clean, quiet, well-located and well-appointed and had the most wonderful roof top terrace. The plantings on the terrace were lush and there was even a peach tree with ripe peaches. It was a true oasis in the City. The owner was responsive and the manager met us and showed us around. The only note for those with mobility issues is that there are a lot of stairs to access the unit. We would not hesitate to recommend this flat.

Great place in a gorgeous, upscale, quiet location.

The property was really lovely. The rooftop was fantastic to have access to and the kitchen was very workable for vacation cooking. Both bedrooms were great. We had some trouble with the WiFi but it seemed to be a VirginMedia issue. Otherwise, I would have given this place 5 stars across the board.

Lovely Rooftop Terrace

This was a really wonderful place to stay! The neighborhood was amazing and the location to restaurants, museums and the tube station was perfect. We loved the rooftop terrace; it was so tranquil and peaceful - the perfect place to eat breakfast or enjoy the sunset hours. The flat was comfortable and well stocked with necessities. Beds were also really comfortable. We’d definitely stay here again and would recommend it to anyone looking for the perfect location to base their London visit.

This flat did not disappoint.

We were pleased with this flat. The interior was recently renovated so it had a nice updated feeling while being nestled in a vintage building. The forth floor walk up was fine by us. The owner kept the place nice and clean with plenty of available space to store our luggage. They did a nice enough job making it feel like this was your space for the rental period and not like you are crashing someone's pad. The rental price was competitive for the time of the year we stayed there. Of course, you always wish it could be a tad more affordable but it's London and it's in a neighborhood where people park Lamborghini's overnight on the street. Plus, it has the private roof top access. The roof top is also pleasantly updated with a modern deck. Keep in mind if you're visiting outside of the summer months you probably won't be spending much time up there. Maybe you'll just peep at the sea of chimney scapes and head back down. Something to consider when looking at its price point. We felt the flat was located well enough to get around town and see the sights. It's really close to the Natural History Museum. The walk to either Underground stop is an easy enough walk. I will also say I admired how quiet the area around the flat got after 11pm. It helped that we kept the windows closed due to the weather. But for a major city it was quiet. I chalked it up to the fact that Kensington is more a residential neighborhood, maybe? Another thing, the restaurants nearby are all very decent with a nice variety of cuisines just outside your doorstep.
