Amateras on ylellinen 5000 neliön jalka Estate-huvilan BrittilÀiset Neitsytsaaret. KyydissÀ 1. 5 hehtaarin kukkulan ja asettaa keskuudessa upea kiviÀ löytyy vain Virgin Gorda, se tarjoaa dramaattinen 360 asteen nÀkymÀt sekÀ auringonnousun ja auringonlaskun yli Atlantin valtameren ja Sir Francis Drake Channel. Amateras tarjoaa vierailleen yksi upeimmista loma-asetukset saarella Virgin Gorda. Kolme itsenÀisesti nimitetty paviljongit, Amateras 'majoitukset ovat ihanteellisia kahdelle perheelle ja heidÀn lapsensa, tai neljÀ parit. Better than the pictures!

It's like staying directly in the baths, amazingly built right in to the boulders. Perfect house to explore. Will need a car but VG is small enough that you're never too far from anything. The house had everything we needed. We had a great stay.

An outstanding Villa in all respects. Beautiful views and an excellent location in Virgin Gorda, Coppermine area. Villa owner/caretakers/housekeeping were outstanding. I would recommend this Villa at the highest level.

Spectacular home with 360 views!

Amateras is a beautiful home set high amidst dramatic VG boulders. There are beautiful views from every room in the house and the breeze from the ocean keeps large kitchen and living room cool. The outdoor living/eating area is a great place to gather with family and friends. Clean, spacious and lovely! Highly recommend!

Exceptional views

Our whole family thoroughly enjoyed your home. The views and location were terrific. The bedroom "pods" are a great design, as we had a family with a three year old, two twenty-somethings, and my wife and I. Everyone had their own privacy at night. It was great.

Incredible Spot!

Our family of four thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Amateras. The home is spectacular -- just like the photos! The 360 degree views are incredible. The home is very well equipped and well kept. The owners were great communicators and were always very responsive to our questions. Their recommendations of things to do and places to eat were right on point. Renting a car is a must! We enjoyed exploring the various VIrgin Gorda beaches and resorts (Savannah Bay being our favorite beach). One of our suitcases didn't make it to Virgin Gorda and the property manager Anna Marie was very helpful in assisting us with that. It was a fabulous, relaxing week and we would certainly rent this home again!

Our family of six just returned from 7 nights at The Amateras and we all are suffering with the come home grumpies. This villa meet every expectation we imagined. The views are incredible and from every window in each pavilion, you can see forever. With this view does come some stairs! Thelma took good care of us with a mid-week towel change and a quick clean up. The pool was just the right tempature and the perfect stop after a long day at the beach! Didn't get to see Elvis, but plenty of lizards kept us entertained and would defiantly come inside. Each day we went to new beaches and all of them very close. Great location for the villa. Enjoy and hope I get to return.

Beautiful decorated home with amazing views

My family stayed here for 6 nights to celebrate our 20 year anniversary. The villa sits high on the island and has amazing views and great breezes. The villa is nicely equipped and the local managers are quick to respond and help. The island is very low key, so this is a great vacation if you need an escape. The villa is separated into three areas, living kitchen, one two bedroom area and another two bedroom area. Our children are older, so this worked nicely for us. It was a great escape and would highly recommend this villa.

STAY HERE!!!

This was our 4th trip to the BVI's and our first staying on Virgin Gorda. The villa is stunning inside and out and MUCH more beautiful than the pictures. As someone had mentioned, this is more like a personal resort with separate pool area, dining building, and 2 private sleeping villas. Up on "windy hill," it is breezy and mild in the evenings, with views of water in all directions. Amateras is built among very nicely landscaped gardens. It was immaculate, and if you wish to cook, very well stocked with high quality pots, wine fridge, etc. The owner is very helpful in setting you up there. We had 8 staying for 10 days, and had plenty of space and privacy. Recommended highly to all, but be aware of a number of stairs to and from the parking area and sleeping quarters (built into a hill), so may be a little difficult for some. A short, few minute drive to the Baths, grocery shopping, and Spanish Town. Best place in the BVI's we've stayed at.

An Amazing and Awesome Property! Definitely Stay Here!!!

I'm always a little apprehensive when selecting a place to stay online. But Amateras was one of the most incredible places I have ever stayed! There were 8 of us in our party, which was perfect for the four spacious and light-filled bedrooms. The bedrooms were divided into two beautiful separate spaces, joined by a few stairs between the awesome boulders. Each pair of bedrooms shared a kitchenette space complete with coffee maker, refrigerator and icemaker. Each bedroom had a unique bathroom, most of which had outdoor showers! The rooms were lovely with appointments from the owners trips around the world. Simple elegance at every turn. The very large main house is located between the two sleeping spaces. One wall of windows opens completely up onto the dining patio. A kitchen has all the amenities you'd expect, but it is large enough for all of us to be in there working without running over each other. We bought food and cooked on the grill several nights, so we really made good use of the kitchen and loved it. Amateras also provides snorkeling equipment, though we had to poke around a bit before discovering it under the seats in the ... separate lounging area. The pool was incredible, and we spent every morning sitting poolside watching the green-throated caribe and Antillian-crested hummingbirds dart from one unbelievably beautiful flower to another. It was heaven. Of course we spent plenty of time IN the pool, once the day warmed up. We even got re-certified for scuba diving right there in the pool. What fun! Virgin Gorda was a real delight. We love the Caribbean, but had never been to the Fat Virgin before. We were thrilled. The water was a little choppy, but we didn't let a little thing like that stop us from taking the Dive BVI snorkel day trip. Don't miss "The Indians", which we considered to be the best stop of all. We also dove the shipwreck nearby. Quite a bit of fun topped off with Rum Punch. How could that be bad?! Don't miss the mocko jumbies at Leverick Bay. A bunch of fun and really good food at the buffet too! Fresh seafood and island food along with other more tame offerings. Each night, no matter where we went on the island, we got to come home to our own Amateras and watch the stars cross the sky. Drift off to sleep listening to the wind. Then up in the morning with the chickens (yes, chickens!) and off for another day of fun. Amateras is incredible. I cannot say enough good about our time there!

Amateras is one of a kind!

What a gorgeous home. The 360 degree water views were spectacular. The pictures of the home matched what was on the website. The fact that this magnificent home was designed and constructed utilizing the natural surroundings (boulders, plant life, etc..) is nothing short of amazing! The house was well appointed and no details were spared. The house very nicely accommodated two families for the week. And the location was great too- near everything—the Baths, and great restaurants like the CocoMaya, Mine Shaft, Bath & Turtle, and Chez Bamboo. The locals were so friendly and helpful. We would definitely come back! If you are looking for a place to "make wonderful memories", then Amateras is the place you want to stay at.

Can't Wait to Return

When our family of four began to plan a vacation to the BVIs, good friends who own on the BVIs gave us this advice: 1) choose Virgin Gorda for its natural beauty, friendly population, and serene beaches/night life; and 2) don’t get tied to a resort that limits you from exploring all the island has to offer – particularly the fantastic sand beaches and off-beach snorkeling locations of the south side (the Baths/Devil Bay, Spring Bay, Little Trunk and Valley Trunk Bays). So we went to VRBO, investigated the villas and chose for us the best option – Amateras! Why Amateras? ‱ Stunning views: across the Atlantic on one side, and over toward the Straights on the other. We did not miss being “on the beach” – the view and breeze and appointments of the home made this location perfect. ‱ Open air vacationing: windows and doors can be fully opened to outdoor patios and decks which invite much appreciated breezes across the property and allow more engagement of the scenery. And the private pool is a great place to enjoy downtime. ‱ Well planned living and sleeping spaces: the central area is for gathering with open kitchen, seating and reading areas, eating patio and pool while sleeping quarters are separate and therefore quiet/private. Well-stocked kitchen, comfy furniture, great mattresses on beds! ‱ Location: so easy to jump into a rental vehicle and cruise quickly over to the beaches, or to the harbor (where you MUST take the Island Hopper day trip from the dive shop to enjoy Norman Island snorkeling and Jost Van Dyke beach!), or to the Baths. Groceries (Rosy's, Bucks) are close by, as are multiple dining options (pizza at the Rock is great). If you like to walk/hike, you can walk from Amateras to Coppermine, to Spanish Town harbor or just around neighborhood – and it’s close to drive up to Virgin Gorda Peak hiking. We could add more. Suffice to say that we are already talking to family members about our next visit. This is a place that you will want to share!

Prepare to be dazzled!

This home is one of the most beautifully designed houses I have ever seen. The house is perfectly intergrated with the awesome boulders that make up the property. I cannot begin to describe how amazing it is to shower under the magnificent BVI sky, full with stars, surrounded by the huge boulders. No sounds to disturb your peace. You feel your body and soul relax as the calm of Amateras soothes away the stress of the other world we have to live in. The beds are comfy, the kitchen unbelievably equipped, flowers and butterflies everywhere, great gathering areas to come together but more than enough private space to hide away. I have nothing but superlatives to discribe Amateras, a perfect retreat.

Amazing

This property offers some of the most incredible views in the world. We had a total of 8 people stay and it was extremely comfortable and spacious for everyone. I would highly recommend this to anyone that is looking for a place to just unwind and enjoy the natural beauty of the British Virgin Islands. Truly remarkable! Can't wait to go back!

Perfect for families - Amazing vacation spot

We had the pleasure of spending two weeks at Amateras. This was the first Caribbean vacation in a long time that we weren't ready to go home. We have three young children. The lower sleeping level is self contained so we were able to be under one roof and connected to the kids. The upper sleeping level could be a perfect spot for another family or older kids. The home is built on boulders and many are incorporated right into the architecture of the house. I will greatly miss the breeze blowing through the main house. No need for air conditioning even in the middle of summer. We loved the outdoor showers, especially the master with its Caribbean view. The swimming pool and deck area is resort quality with cushioned lounge chairs. Bring your iPod for your own music by the pool. The home has wireless WI-fi. Lots of beautiful walkways with stairs and boulders connect the three living areas. The kitchen is beautiful with top-notch appliances and it it well stocked with necessities. Eating out in VG is expensive, so it's nice to have your own kitchen for meal prep. Lots of things to do with children: the Baths, Devils Bay, Savannah Bay, Bitter End Yacht Club, Saba Rock, sailing, snorkeling, diving.... You will not be without things to do. Rent a car as the island traffic is not hectic and it will allow you to really appreciate all that VG has to offer. We started our trip thinking we would be visiting lots of the surrounding islands on our trip, but we were so happy just to have this amazing house and the entertainment VG has to offer. We would definitely go back. This trip and this home will be hard to top!

Dream House

An absolutely beautiful place. Very classy and high end, but very comfortable. Great for families, wonderful privacy, beautiful pool, and grounds. Pure bliss!

Paradise

I recently stayed at this place for my brothers wedding and it was nothing short of paradise. I could not have painted a more beautiful picture to spend a vacation stay with my parents and uncles! Sunset views from my bed prior to a nap before heading up to the common area for dinner where we cooked together in an immaculate kitchen, ate dinner over looking the island lights below and above in the sky, and enjoyed a movie in the comfy viewing area adjacent to the kitchen. After dinner, enjoy some drinks in the V.I.P. loft area where I also enjoyed watching the sunrise with a coffee/yoga as there is a wrap around deck facing the ocean!!! The pool area and the rest....well, its to epic to explain,,,,,,see for yourself, enjoy!!!!

Paradise!!

Stayed here with my parents and family for my brothers wedding. The actual ceremony took place pool side overlooking the island and beautiful water! Could not have painted a better picture! This place is epic! Sunset and sunrise views, emmaculate furnishing, V.I.P. and yoga lofts with wrap around deck! The surround sound Bob Marley filling the air as you refresh in the infinity pool. Tropical feel with outdoor showers and rocks with in your living areas! I could talk for days but trust me, see it for yourself. Enjoy and love life!

Perfect spot to get away from it all

This beautiful property surpassed all of our expectations. The online photos only begin to do it justice. The furnishings were meticulous, the rooms were very spacious and the views were breathtaking. We had a wonderful family vacation on VG and would definitely stay at Amaratas again. The staff was very attentive, and the kitchen and bath rooms were fully stocked with all of the pots, pans, seasonings, towels, etc that we needed during our stay. The location of the property was ideal as well. Just minutes from everything. We would recommend this property again and again!

If you want to really enjoy Virgin Gorda, stay here! We stayed with another family and everyone wanted to come back. Very roomy, with spectacular views all around. The staff was friendly, prompt and even checked on us. I would not think twice about staying here again.

Perfect Villa, Perfect Views, Perfect Vacation

I just came home last night from our weeks stay the Amateras in VG. I'm not sure where to begin as I only have the most glowing comments to make about Amateras and Virgin Gorda. In the last year, we have been to Turks & Caicos, Jamaica, St. Lucia & Virgin Gorda. My favorite island is Virgin Gorda for many reasons. First, there is so much to do and the ease of getting around is not to be beat. The islanders are increadibly warm and gentle. When planning this trip we debated between Amateras and another home on Mahoe Bay. We chose Amateras and am THRILLED that we did. This house is amazing. The views are breath taking and we would recommend this villa without reserve. I was with my Aussie husband (who is a beach snob) and 10 & 12 year old. All agreed that this was our favorite home to ever rent and our favorite place to visit. Amateras is close to everything. We went to The Baths, spent a day at Little DIx Bay and at Bitter End Yacht Club/Saba Rock. Had dinner at Biras Creek, chartered a sailboat, scuba dove, went deep sea fishing. I will always stay at Amateras instead of a resort as you can still enjoy the resort amenitites, but have the convenience and beauty of this stunning home. The pictures are good, but the house is even more gorgeous than the pictures convey. Craig is a darling...incredibly helpful. Sharan, Anna and Thelma all went out of their way to provide a perfect holiday. The kitchen at Amateras is better equipped than my own. Loved the fact that there were spices and condiments already at the house. This house is perfect for a family vacation or for an adult get away. There was not on e thing that I would change about the home. Well, one, I wish I owned it!!!

We loved Ametaras Villa and Virgin Gorda

A beautiful villa in a beautiful setting. Great views, lovely tropical breeze. Very clean, modern villa with an awesome, well equipped kitchen. Craig and his staff were very helpful and organized and professional. This one of our best family vacations we have taken, and we take many of them, mostly to the Caribbean. I would absoloutely recommend Amateras, you will not be disappointed!!!!

I have been going to Virgin Gorda since I was 12. My parents built a house in VG but because of work I never really visited. I took my girlfriend there on vacation and we fell in love with each other and with VG. We continued to visit yearly renting places and one time we were driving and saw a "Lots for Sale" sign so we drove up. We hacked through the brush and sat on the rock where the main house is now and decided we should build. Our kids have called Amateras home since they were born.
