Stay close to nature at the Carter House. This charming rustic home is just a minute's walk to the Lady Slipper trailhead and five minutes' walk to Monte Verde Lake. This three-bedroom, two-bath house that sleeps eight is also a short drive from the country club and ski area. The first floor has an open living area with a double-height ceiling. The full kitchen includes a dishwasher and a gas range. The dining table seats four and the counter seats three. The living area has a wood-burning stove and a flat-screen TV with DirecTV service as well as picture windows for enjoying the view. The wraparound deck may be accessed from the dining area and the front door and is the perfect place to enjoy the mountain sun and view local wildlife. The main bedroom has a queen bed, a flat-screen TV, and an en-suite bathroom with a walk-in shower. There is a half-bath in the downstairs hall and a mudroom/laundry with a full-size washer and dryer.
Upstairs, the second bedroom has a queen bed, and the third bedroom has two twin/twin bunk beds. The guest bathroom has a jetted bathtub/shower combination. There is also a loft with a game table that seats four.
Wi-Fi is provided throughout the house. The two-car garage may be accessed from the deck/breezeway. Pack and plays and high chairs are available on request for an additional fee, as available.

This property requires four-wheel drive or chains in the winter.
PLEASE NOTE - There is a short flight of exterior stairs to access the entrance to this home.

INDOOR LIVING: Wood-burning stove, games table, flat-screen TVs. Central heating.
OUTDOOR LIVING: Wraparound deck with seating.
GENERAL: WiFi, linens/towels, hair dryers, and hangers are included as well as a kitchen pack and soap, shampoo, and conditioner.
LOCATION: Carter House is five minutes' walk to Monte Verde Lake. It is 4.2 miles from the ski area (a 9-minute drive) and 3.1 miles (8 minutes driving) from the country club.
PARKING: The two-car garage may be accessed from the deck/breezeway. The driveway will accommodate up to four vehicles.
POOL AND FITNESS: The indoor pool and fitness center at the Angel Fire Country Club are available for a daily/weekly/monthly fee.

The indoor pool, hot tub, and fitness center at the Lodge at Angel Fire Resort is not available for public use.

WHAT TO KNOW:
This property is managed by Angel Fire Resort Vacation Rentals, 10 N. Angel Fire Road, Angel Fire, NM.
Check-in is available after 4 p.m. at our office. Please return keys/fobs to our office by 10 a.m. for check-out.
Because Angel Fire does not have residential trash pickup, trash must be taken to the Recycling Center by guests. There is a map to the Recycling Center in your guestbook. Please do not leave any trash outside as the wildlife will open the bags. We offer a Trash Removal option for your reservation; for a $100.00 fee, we will remove all bagged trash from the property after your check-out.
Smoking is not permitted on our properties.
Dogs are ONLY allowed in designated dog-friendly homes.
4WD or AWD vehicles are required for our homes during the winter months (November-March). It is not required to access the condos in the village, but if you are not used to winter driving, please be prepared for difficult driving conditions and use caution.
