Think twice about renting this place. Although it is in a very convenient, quiet location, there were many problems that were not addressed well or at all. When we arrived we found the small washing machine in the kitchen filled with wet clothes and a broken door so we couldn’t even remove them. Apparently the cleaning crew did not notice. Although we were promised that it would be fixed soon, it wasn’t until the last afternoon of our 4 night stay, so we were unable to use it, very disappointing. we had to ask repeatedly for basic items like bag liners for the kitchen trash bin, and coffee pods for the Nespresso machine, which did not work very well, even though the management company claimed it was new. There was a great deal of noise during our stay and the entire building appeared to be under renovation. Workers would begin as early as 8 AM and the construction noise would continue until 4 or 5 PM. When we complained to the management company, they claimed they didn’t know about any construction in the area. So we had to explain that it was not in the area - it was in the building itself. They did not know or acknowledge that fact. The stairs were unusable because they were covered in sheets of plastic. Luckily there was an elevator. The kitchen was very minimally equipped with old worn pots/pans. While the beds were comfortable, the couch and chair in the living room were old, shabby and uncomfortable. Only 1 BR a had an en-suite bath. No AC, only fans, etc, etc
The apartment was generally clean, but it felt a bit worn and could use some maintenance. For example, the cabinet holding the silverware was difficult to open and seems like an easy fix that would improve the experience. The kitchen was also quite minimally equipped—there were no basic spices, only one ice tray, and no cutting board, which made cooking inconvenient.Noise was a significant issue during our stay. There was a lot of street noise, and ongoing construction in the building made it difficult to even have a conversation at times. While this may not be the host’s fault, it would have been helpful to know in advance. The internet was slow and somewhat difficult to connect to. Also, the washer/dryer is a combo unit, so be aware that you’ll likely only be able to do one small load of laundry per day.In terms of overall fit, this place may appeal more to younger travelers or those used to more compact European accommodations. If you’re visiting from the U.S. and are used to a bit more comfort and convenience, you might want to consider spending a little extra for a different option. For travelers from elsewhere in Europe or those under 30, it may feel perfectly adequate.Overall, nothing was outright bad, and the stay worked for what it was—it really comes down to expectations and personal preference.
