About Lauren Harmon

We are the Harmons. Jim is a Builder and this is his Bucket List home. The girls and I would like to share our beautiful mountain home with you. My daughters have now grown into wonderful adult women, two have graduated from college and the youngest is away at college. As a result, we aren't using the house as much as before. My daughters grew up skiing and this home will some day be the place they bring their children to learn to ski. We hope you enjoy it as much as we have.

Lauren Harmon purchased this house in 2007

Why Lauren Harmon chose Frisco

We love Frisco, it's the best. It gives us a variety of places to ski in the winter and tremendous choices for outdoor activities in the summer. Frisco is an adorable mountain hamlet with many original historical buildings from the wild west. It has it's own wonderful dining and bars and close to Breckenridge, Dillion, Vail and Silverthrone for additional choices in dining and nightlife. My daughters and I have had many, many wonderful times. We have had friends from all over the country and world, including those from the entertainment world, they have all loved Frisco, much more then several other Colorado resort communities.

What makes this house unique

From this house you can go to Copper Mountain Ski Resort in less than 10 mins, Keystone Ski Resort, Breckenridge Ski Resort and Arapahoe Basin Ski Resort in 15 mins, Vail Ski Resort in 25 mins, Beaver Creek in 40 mins and Steamboat Ski Resort in 1 hour. Cross country skiing and snowshoeing is right outside the house. Snowmobiling is 10 - 15 minutes away. Enjoy the nightlife of Frisco, a two minute drive and a ten minute walk, Breckenridge is a 10 - 15 min drive, or Vail in 20 - 25 mins. In the summer the wonderful and fun Frisco Marina is a 10 - 15 minute walk, weekly festivals happening on Main Street, Frisco, then of course, hiking, road biking, mountain biking, fishing, both fly and rod. Summit County truly is 'Colorado's Playground'.

Guestbook comments from the owner

We just spent Memorial Day in Frisco at this great home. Wow, we couldn't not believe how beautiful in was when we walked through the door. Frisco is a very fun little town with a great mountain lake and lots to do but the house was so wonderful we had a hard time getting out of the house.

No matter how much snow may accumulate outside, this warm, inviting home will be cozy inside. My first impression as I opened the magnificent, handcrafted entry door was the unmistakable richness of fine wood throughout. It was the foundation and heart of this home. Each piece of furniture and hand picked décor created a retreat to share with family and friends alike. From the stunning tile with wood inset floors to the lofty ceilings, this home was truly pleasing to the eye. Large, granite counter tops in the kitchen provide the working space atop custom cabinetry in the open, gourmet kitchen. The sun drenched morning nook with window seat, gas fireplace and flat screen TV is the perfect place to sit down with a hot cup of coffee to start your day. An elegant dining table with high backed upholstered chairs is set between the kitchen and the great room. There is ample seating for a large group to enjoy their meals together. The double sided fireplace, which dominates the great room, is flanked by floor to ceiling windows which reflect the beautiful Colorado landscape. Also on the main floor is the master bedroom with large floor to ceiling windows, a fireplace, flat screen TV, a grand shower and private sauna room. The upper floor has three uniquely decorated bedrooms, each with its own private bath and a flat screen TV. A den/study provides additional sleeping with a pull out sleeper sofa. The lower, walk out level of this home has a spacious entertainment room with a large flat screen TV, a sectional couch large enough for the whole family and two additional bedrooms & bathrooms. A bonus sauna room to use after a long day on the slopes can also be found downstairs as well as an outdoor hot tub. While this home is nestled in the pines on a quiet cul-de-sac, downtown Frisco is just a stones throw away. Frisco, “The Main Street to the Rockies” provides a number of dining options, boutiques & shops. For those visiting during the warmer months there are several hiking/biking trails within walking distance. Dillon reservoir, also near by provides fishing opportunities as well as boating, windsurfing and additional walking & biking paths. Shop til you drop at the Silverthorne Outlets, just 6 miles away. Frisco is also known as the heart of Summit County because of its close proximity to the many surrounding ski resorts. You are sure to find comfort, relaxation & fun when you stay in this elegant mountain home! The VRBO Bear

Beautiful house!

  • 4 of 5

Absolutely beautiful home! Lauren was great to work with. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was because some lights in some rooms didn't work. There was a ton of garbage left in the garage from

The previous renters and no room to remove our garbage. But we would definetely stay at the house again!! Overall amazing experience and great home!! Perfect for kids. The kids loved the downstairs area since it was their own space.

Fabulous home and owners.

  • 5 of 5

Our large family is thrilled to be renting the Harmon home for the 2nd time this summer.

Our favorite things:

Large open concept of kitchen, dining, living room is perfect for interacting with loved ones.

Fireplace near kitchen table & window seat is so cozy for early morning coffee. Kids love to gather here while I cook breakfast. Warming drawer, 2 dishwashers, 2 sinks, wonderful kitchen

Kitchen is fabulous for parties. Cooks can work uninterrupted, chatting with guests, enjoying appetizers served on the huge granite island.

Multiple areas for mealtime seating: Kitchen table, Island stools, Large round table in living area.

Large downstairs den and bedrooms are perfect for youngsters.

Master suite is huge and comfortable. I very much appreciate the owner making the walk in closet available!

Upstairs guest suites w/private bathrooms and an office area that is great for babies.

2 sets of washer/dryers.

Wine fridge and minibar with plenty of nice glasses.

Easy walk to bus. Bike path nearby.

As avid cyclists, we enjoy all the choices for great routes. Hiking is wonderful nearby as well.

Whole Foods and a great wine shop are close by.

Great restaurants and shopping in Frisco,an easy walk to Main Street.

The only negative is totally workable but guests do need to know that you can only park 2 cars here overnight. There are other areas where you can leave extra cars and you can park on the street during the day but the neighborhood is strict about parking after 10pm.

I marked the box for "Tourists without a car" because the bus system is great. Our kids loved riding the bus to Copper Mountain where we bought the season activity pass: rock climbing, mini golf, bungie trampoline, go carts, chairlift, and more. You will not be disappointed in this beautiful home.

Successful trip in a great place

  • 5 of 5

We rented this house for 13 of us for a wedding anniversary. The house was wonderful! The kitchen was amazing! It has plenty of room to hold 5 women all trying to cook. Two dishwashers made it easy to keep dishes available for every meal. The house has plenty of space for everyone with a bathroom for every room. We even found a bathroom the second day we didn't know about on the main floor. It was overall a great experience and wonderful home!

Excellent stay

  • 5 of 5

Rented this home as a base for relatives and friends for my daughters wedding. We have a home on the other side of Frisco but needed space for 14 more people. The home was great! Plenty of space and we never felt crowded or cramped. Home itself is beautiful and everyone raved about the accomodations. Overall a big hit with guests and I would recommend it to anyone looking to house a group in Frisco.

Great Family Long Weekend

  • 4 of 5

Our family loves Summit County. We wanted to rent a home that could accommodate our Children and Grand Children comfortably. Size and location were critical for us. We found this home and immediately called to book it. We had initially booked and paid for it for the 4th of July. As often happens with large families things shifted and we needed to change the dates. I must say the owners of this house worked with us and so we need to add fair and flexible to the description of this property. Having now experienced the home I can report it was a wonderful family experience. Thank you to the owners and we will be back!
