Fall in love with Wellsboro as you walk downtown with the gas lit lanterns on Main Street or enjoy God’s creation as you hike, fish, snowmobile or kayak in beautiful Tioga County. Great for families.
This vacation home is rented throughout the year! We do accept monthly rentals for traveling nurses and Doctors and we are within walking distance of the hospital.
What a beautiful property this is! You won't want to leave! They say it is all about location, location, location. Well this house has just that. The house was built in 1840 and is in the historic part of down town Wellsboro. If only this house could talk and tell us some stories. I was told that at one time this house was a carriage stop and also a post office. Now it is time for you to make some memories here that will last you for years to come.
You can leave your car parked in the driveway and walk down town or bring your outdoor games as the yard across the bridge is huge. Our kitchen is well equipped for dining in. The dining room is bright and has a table that seats 8 for dining, socializing and games in the evening. There is an enclosed back porch to relax in and a large comfortable living room. We offer a master bedroom on the main floor with a bathroom and shower just off the bedroom. There are 3 additional bedrooms upstairs with a bathroom, tub and shower. You do need to provide your own sheets and towels.
This is a perfect place for couples to gather and spend a weekend together. It is spacious enough to accommodate 4 couples, cozy enough for just 2, or great for a ladies week end away. This is an old house and has a step up to the dining room and a step down to the kitchen, living room and foyer. There is a deck outback to sit and enjoy the sound of the creek as it trickles by. But please, do not walk or sit on the stone wall. An outdoor fire pit is in the back yard for roasting hotdogs or relaxing in the evening. Wi-Fi and Dish T.V. is set up for those rainy days.
Are you a baseball fan…The Little League World Series in Williamsport is about 45minutes to an hour away.
We ask that you keep things clean during your stay and leave the guest house as you found it. Our cleaning people will do all the final cleaning. Please be respectful and courteous to our property and our neighbors.

The house is in a great location for e-biking on the Pine Creek Gorge rail trail. My wife and I and another couple stayed in the house and it was just right with the number and layout of bedrooms and bathrooms. The kitchen, dining room, and living room provided plenty of space to gather together. The enclosed back porch was nice for keeping the bikes overnight and for charging the batteries. The house had a nice historic and charming feel.

This historic house is perfect for a family or group get away. It is located convenient to downtown, you can walk to restaurants, the movie theater, shops, and grocery store. It was spacious enough that our group was not cramped. The dining room table is perfect for board games and family meals. The kitchen was well appointed for a vacation rental, I easily made many meals. Wellsboro is good for day trips to hiking in state parks, sky watching at Cherry Springs, and Corning/Finger Lakes. We enjoyed the screened in porch and back deck.

Beautiful house in Wellsboro, can walk to town and close drive to the Pennsylvania Grand Canyon. The house is historic, comfortable and immaculately clean! Additionally, the host is very kind and helpful. A great place to stay!

This was a great weekend for us. House was charming and close to everything. Host was responsive to our questions prior to our stay. We will definitely be back. Restaurants and bars were within walking distance, and we did not get in our car from the moment we stayed until we left. Definitely a find in the quaint Wellsboro town!

This house has character with the original part dating back to the mid-1800's. We have stayed several times as it is close to downtown and has enough space for 4 adults and 2 teenagers.I grew up in Wellsboro and my first grade teacher lived next door to this house.

Attended the Endless Mountains Music Festival & were able to walk to 2 concerts in town. Rode the trail from 2 nearby locations. Walk to shops & restaurants. Convenient location to whatever you want to do.The house itself is beautiful & comfortable, & the gardens are tastefully done. A lovely deck & enclosed porch out back invite gatherings. If you use all 3 BRs upstairs, 1 of the BRs needs to use the downstairs bathroom or go through 1 of the other 2 BRs. Our group of 4 gives this house very high marks!

John and I were high school sweethearts and have now been married for over 40 years! Totally too hard to believe. We have three wonderful sons, 3 great daughter-in-laws and 6 fantastic grandchildren that range in age from 1 year to 15 years old. We are happy to say that no one has moved away from our hometown of Elizabethtown, Pa. in Lancaster County. It is so good to have everyone close by.
John drives milk truck for Mount Joy Farmers Co-Op and I am an Interior Designer. We are members of Community Bible Church in Marietta where we have served in various ways over the years. Besides working full time, we squeeze in babysitting and attending the kids activities whenever we can.
Every summer we spend a week with our extended family at Ocean City New Jersey. Often times there are about 30 of us that go, so you can only imagine what that is like….lots of kids, lots of noise, lots of fun and lots of laughter.
God is good. Certainly we have had our challenges, as I am sure you have, but we have experienced God’s faithfulness in many ways.

The Last Lantern Guest House is full of charm. I fell in love with it the minute I walked in and you will too. The picket fence, the creek, the bridge and the huge back yard will draw you into this unique experience and help you appreciate all that there is to enjoy here. There is everything you need for a fun and relaxing get-away. You can walk downtown or spend time in God’s beautiful creation fishing at Pine Creek or hiking the Pa. Grand Canyon. There is also rail trail for biking along Pine Creek. There are all kinds of outdoor activities in and around Wellsboro. Or just come to relax in the warm & cozy furnishings of the Guest House. If you enjoy eating out, there are several wonderful restaurants in town or close by. But the kitchen is fully furnished if you have a good cook along that loves being in the kitchen and serving others! There is a golf course close by and the Little League World Series is played at Williamsport which is just about an hour away. So there is something for everybody!
