Lovely view and great overall condo

This was our 5th trip to the Big Island and this was the best location and condo of all of them. Lovely BIG lanai with gorgeous view. We could see the Manta Ray boats at night. Kitchen was big and loaded with everything. There were 6 of us and we had plenty of room. A couple of us are older and had a little trouble with the entry stairs but we got better towards the end of the stay. Condo also had lots of water toys, cooler, rain ponchos and much more. It was very clean, and a book had good instructions on how to run everything. Security was good and seemed fairly modern with an electronic gate key for the car. We would definitely stay here again on our next trip.

Amazing

The pictures did not do this property justice! Its a beautiful condo with amazing views of the water! We loved having coffee on the lanai in the mornings and watching the waves! The condo was plenty big enough for our group of 7. The condo was very well stocked with everything we needed. Even had shampoo and conditioner in all the bathrooms. Better than any other plac we have stayed. Location was great! We would definitely stay here again.

A Little Slice of Paradise

Great location and set up for us. We had two families. Seven people total. Perfect space, great balcony on the bay and the ocean side pool was very nice. Just enough off the beaten path and clise enough to Kailua. Couldn't have enjoyed our stay any more.

Lovely views, convenient to all Kona attractions

The listing is accurate. The views are gorgeous. The only drawback was a couple of minor plumbing issues and a major paving project in the complex. Once those are fixed/complete, it should be back to a 5 star experience. Owner was very responsive and friendly.

Perfect place to stay in Hawaii

We can only list positive comments on this place. The complex sits on its own peninsula with the common ground kept in Tip-Top shape. The apartment is beautiful, was super clean and everything was in working order the entire time. It is stocked with all kinds of cooking appliances and utensils. There is a nice supermarket 5 minutes away so we prepared most of our meals at home (Gas BBQ by the pool). In terms of access to the Island, we thought its central location was ideal. The staff and owner were all very friendly and helpful and the rental process is very straightforward and organized. We actually were referring to the apartment as "Home". We would not hesitate to stay here again.

Our family had a wonderful stay. This property is in a great location. Great view of the ocean! We particularly appreciated having access to the cooler and boogie boards. The kitchen is also well stocked with anything you might need.

Great property for getaway with friends

May 2024 trip to Hawaii with 3 adult couples who have been lifelong friends. Great location, property excellent and the owner very engaged. With 3 bed, 3 bath layout and location it's excellent property for couples.

Everything was perfect

Kona vacation

The condo was very nice, great views. Kitchen had everything you needed. The a/c was on a timer and could not adjust the temperature. We were there in January so it was ok, but the warmer months would be too warm. There was an expensive cleaning fee and we still had to remove sheets from bed, run the dishwasher and take out the garbage. Minor issues but never had to do this before.

Perfect paradise

This was the perfect set up for our family. Every room had it's own bathroom. The views were incredible. We enjoyed watching the lights for the mantra ray excursions. We did that on the second night. Lots to do nearby with the outdoor markets and coffee plantation. We couldn’t have been happier with the location.

Great Location

We loved this 3 bedroom condo that was perfect for 3 couples. The view from the balcony was awesome. We loved walking on the shore and watching the sunset from the shoreline pool. Very close to shopping and all the sites we wanted to see and visit.

A perfect home away from home

My family loved our stay at the Kanaloa in 2204. We were not expecting how beautiful the overall resort was going to be-the pictures did not do it justice. It was so well maintained and the staff were so nice. The actual house was also beautiful and very well decorated, it felt like a home away from home. The rooms were clean and well maintained, we loved the little attention to detail with the makeup removes in the individual bathrooms, the kitchen was stocked with pots and pans and spices for cooking. The lanai was our favorite spot to relax after a long day to watch the sunset every day. We had everything we needed-beach towels, the cooler, the washer and dryer-to make our stay seamless. Also the property is so close to the shops if you need to get some necessities and close to restaurants if you just want to eat out. Although we had access to Darrell and Mark easily, the guidebook in the house was pretty in depth that we didn’t have to contact them as much. We were 15 mins from my sister who lived in Kailua and about 20 mins from the airport. We loved our stay and you will too.

Great location and gorgeous view!

High end appliances and an incredible view from the balcony and pool made our stay especially nice. And the Turkey on the road greeting us nearly every day was super cute! The balcony lock falls so do not leave your entire party on the balcony with the door closed- we got locked out for 2 hours! Otherwise, a perfect stay!

Dream Location

I have travelled to the Hawaiian Islands many times and have stayed in many locations and have to say this is one of the best vacation rentals I have stayed in! The point of contact was easy to communicate with and helpful. The location is central to many great sites, there is a rocky beach you can see from the lanai AND you can walk there within minutes! We experienced great snorkeling right at the condo! I was able to watch my family snorkeling as I had my morning coffee! The home itself was spacious, comfortable and well stocked. All of the beds are comfortable, AC worked well but when turned off and windows opened you have the great breeze so it wasn’t always needed. 10 out of 10 would recommend to anyone!

Quiet and Welcoming Accommodations

The condo was very clean, in excellent condition, and had a very homey feel. It had everything we needed for a very comfortable stay. We spent lots of time on the lanai, enjoying the view of the bay and ocean. The snorkeling at the black sand beach below the lanai was fantastic! I’d definitely recommend this condo highly.

You won't want to leave

I have to agree with all the other guests who not only reviewed here but also in the unit's guest book that this is the best vacation rental we have ever had the privilege to enjoy. The unit was super clean (you can tell since you to take your shoes off per Hawaiian custom) and quiet. We loved hearing the ocean and all the island birds conversing close by. The master suite is spacious and I can't overstate how wonderful it is to have room to spread out. I never appreciated this before until we got to experience it. I loved being off the beaten path of Ali'i drive, but being just minutes away from Keauhou shopping center for quick runs for groceries and sundries. SeaQuest Hawaii is also ~2 miles away, so we took advantage and did the night manta ray snorkel, the highlight of our trip! The a/c worked great when we occasionally needed it (just the master bath gets a little warm in the afternoons); the beds were super comfortable and the wifi worked great. There's quite an array of spices, plastic wrap, foil, storage containers; full size shampoo, conditioner and body wash. And I appreciated the comfortable, quality furniture, not the "charming" but insufferable wicker and rattan pieces we see in so many other vacation rentals. I loved this tasteful unit. Darrell is extremely generous, responsive and it seems to be top priority for him that his guests are happy and comfortable. We also had to reschedule our stay last year and he did not hesitate to make arrangements for us. Stop looking and book this place already!

Beautiful condo!

We came to Kona for my moms 70th birthday with a group of 7. The condo was very accommodating for a large group and vey comfortable. The kitchen was super stocked and there was plenty of bath/beach towels and supplies for our stay. The beach chairs, umbrellas, and cooler really came in handy for our beach days. The host even put out balloons and flowers for my mom birthday . I would absolutely return to this condo on a future trip! Mahalo
