One of Edisto's Best! Selah on the Sound is a beachfront, elevated, private home featuring 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms with views of the Sound. This home is tucked away among mature foliage, and has undergone a full renovation, which was completed at the start of 2022. Comfortably accommodating up to 8 guests, this home is perfect for 2 couples with children. Two of the bedrooms feature king sized beds with a jack and jill bathroom. The third bedroom has dual built in bunk beds, with space for 4. Another full bathroom and oversized laundry room are adjacent. With a modern, open floorplan, the living space flows into the dining room and gourmet kitchen, with amazing views. There is also a large deck for your enjoyment. This home is located right next to public beach access 36, providing you a direct route to the beach. (Please note, the walk to the beach is approximately 150 steps)
Selah on the Sound welcomes you to bring a maximum of 2 dogs. (Pre-approval from the owner is required for pets exceeding this policy, and fees apply-please don't hesitate to contact us directly for additional information)

Please note, that there is a fireplace for decorative use only, guest use is not permitted. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

Selah on the Sound is clean and welcoming. All rentals through Edisto’s Best are cleaned and inspected before each new guest. All rentals through Edisto’s Best include linen and departure cleaning.

My husband, 2 teens, and I had a wonderful time together at this perfect beach house. Convenient to excellent dining options, great place to explore, daily walks, and perfect for just hanging out enjoying a spectacular view every morning and the sunset can’t be beat!

Perfect place

Everything from the location of the house to the evening sunsets and daily dolphin viewing made this the perfect place for us to unwind. We enjoyed Botany Bay, the education learning center and finding fossils. The house is super comfortable (loved the kids bunk room with reading lamps, cushy beanbag chairs and games). We can’t wait to return.

Perfect, peaceful beach getaway

We absolutely loved our time here! The house is perfectly done for guests - plenty of room, cozy areas and beds, spacious outdoor area, short and easy walk to the beach (which was so quiet and calm). The house is the most stylish rental I’ve seen available on Edisto. They really took their time to make it special! We also loved watching the sunset every night. This is seriously the most perfect spot!

July 4th Family Vacation

This property is GREAT! Ocean view, and beach access at the backyard were wonderful! House is beautifully decorated in a modern beach vibe that was perfect for our family of 4 adults. Kitchen has everything we needed, and we didn't even need to use the grill we brought, because the weber at the house was better than ours. Had cornhole set that we loved using. Would definitely stay here again!!

This home was perfect for our 3 moms and 4 daughters August Meeting. Kitchen is well equipped; beds are comfortable; space is great. The home accommodates 8 but only offered 1 beach chair.

Great Experience

This house is lovely. It’s well decorated and well furnished. The house is set up for renters in a thoughtful way. The bedding is excellent, the sheets are great. The towels are lovely. Someone put a lot of thought into this. We would definitely recommend this house to anyone.

Very Pleasant

The house is great. It was perfect for a mom & dad getaway. We had an issue with internet connectivity at first but that was a simple fix. The property manager was very friendly and helped us resolve the issue. The weather wasn’t ideal but we soaked up what little sun there was to be had. The rest of the time was spent reading in the rocking chairs on the deck. It’s a well maintained property and a great choice for a family looking for a rental.

Perfect Contemporary Beachside Bungalow

Clean, neat, tidy, contemporary, easy, comfortable. Perfect size for the beach- not so big you can't even enjoy the whole house. You get the beautiful, tropical, greenery of the dunes on your side and the lush green of Hunting Island on the other side of the sound to perfectly frame your gorgeous view of the ocean. To me, absolutely perfect. You get the house, the view and the beach with this listing!

Great family time

We really enjoyed our time here. My husband and I stayed in the bunk room with the kids. My parents stayed in the adjoining masters. The view is great with quick access to the beach. The floor plan was wonderful. The outdoor shower and hose were greatly appreciated after time at the beach. We all enjoyed our mornings on the breezy deck and the sunsets over the Sound. We just had a few minor issues. From recent construction, there were nails and screws all over the driveway. We picked up around 40. I’m hoping none found their way into our tires. The entire place is brand new. Very great remodel but square footage was added without updating the A/C and it just could not keep up. The kitchen and dining room were hot in the afternoon (a noticeable difference walking in those rooms). We were told to leave the AC on 72 but the house stayed 74-76. The lack of cold air in the kitchen caused condensation to build up inside our bread bags. We had to toss all our bread for concern of mold (and damp bread is just gross). My parents didn’t mind the warm house but we did as we keep our house at 70. A chair was broken on the deck. It didn’t appear to be but when you sat in it, it flopped to the side. The sinks in the masters are beautiful vessel sinks but the contractor didn’t subtract the height of the vessel from the counter top making them extremely high. My step dad is 6 feet tall and he said it was too high for him. There is no closet or dresser in the bunk room. It got very messy during our stay as we had clothes and toiletries all over the floor. The top bunks weren’t made for us. I’m assuming they didn’t think they would be used but as we were telling the kids to go to bed that first night, we realized we would have to make them which was a bummer. Overall, these issues were minor (except the nails all over the driveway) and did not negatively effect our vacation goals of family time and relaxing.
