We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Nathan's home. The house was extremely clean and spacious and was a great proximity to Mississippi State's campus. We booked this house last minute due to late notice of work travel, and Nathan was more than accommodating. He was extremely communicative, gave clear arrival and departure instructions and was flexible with our needs. He provided our group with a generous snack basket and water upon arrival as well. We would absolutely stay here again and recommend this property to anyone visiting the area!
Great stay for a ballgame house! Large rooms, great furniture for gathering a group. Nice quiet street. Easy walk, a hill or two, to campus for a ball game. Well equipped with about anything you need. Beds were comfortable. Plenty of towels, etc. We had a great time while staying here.
Could not have been happier with our stay. Felt like a home away from home. Our boys loved swinging in the front yard from the lovely old Oak tree, and we enjoyed being able to immediately relax and enjoy our weekend getaway to Starkville. Surrounded by woods, spacious, no noise whatsoever from neighbors, and as close as you can get to being on campus without being on campus. Wonderful all around.
The location IS walkable to a game. Maps may show it to be longer? But it really WAS quick, easy & worth it. The kitchen was great and loved “the back kitchen” area too for storage of our coolers. The hosts had pretty fresh flowers on the nice dining room table for our Thanksgiving meal. I will say, a toilet over-flowed that day - we contacted the host and they had someone over ON thanksgiving day within a matter of maybe an hour? It was over the top excellent and super! We were all Very impressed… and they even lite a fire for us too. There is a piano and our son played a little while there. We woke up Saturday morning to find 4 deer in the backyard! Very cool. Hosts had an inflatable twin mattress with sheets and pillows ready if we needed, however - My youngest son (16) was happy to sleep on the extra large sectional sofa. My mom (73) slept in the queen bedroom and slept very well and she is hard to please with mattresses. Front yard was great to throw the football around too. It’s an older home with great character! Super place, highly recommend.
We enjoyed our stay at the Taylor house. Great location and neighborhood and we loved the gift! Delicious! It was a beautiful weekend for football! We would definitely stay again.
We rented the property for our daughter's sorority parents' weekend, as well as a MSU football game weekend. I was a little concerned because it was one of the last rentals available. However, the house was extremely clean and comfortable. It had everything we needed. It was close to the campus, but off the beaten path. With the game being on a cold dark night and us not knowing the area well, we didn't feel comfortable walking. Otherwise, I think the house is in reasonable walking distance to campus. I would definitely recommend this VRBO.
We stayed here for a game weekend. There was lots of room everything was very clean. The hosts were very informative and easy to contact if needed. 15-20 minute walk to the football stadium and about 30 minute walk to the cotton district. We never had to drive anywhere. Overall 10/10
