Loved it!

  • 5 of 5

This cottage was perfect for two couples. It had privacy and space and an awesome kitchen. We loved the yard and grill and of course, the outdoor shower. Location is great if you want to be away from all the town action but close to activities like the golf course, beaches, Bartlett's and Cisco Brewery. And when you want to venture to town it's extremely convenient. Kathleen is very responsive and made everything easy. It was a pleasure working with her. Overall we had a relaxing and wonderful vacation and hope to rent again in the future!

Wonderful cottage! Wonderful week!

  • 5 of 5

I rented this cottage for my parents and grandfather to come out to for a nice calm vacation in the off season last week. We have recently been dealing with the passing of my grandmother, so it was a very nice retreat to be able to offer my grandfather for a change of scenery and pace. It was a painless endeavor to book the property to start and from there on it was a great experience for my family. The house was immaculate, and Kathleen gave us a quick once-over as I had to run back to work at the hospital. Set back from the road, but in a great centralized location, my family toodled around town in my car and found it very easy to get to everything. The kitchen was great- had everything a cook could want! It was a cozy, warm, inviting environment. I'm told the beds were very comfortable. The heated floors were a nice touch downstairs and the furnishings were eclectic and homey, I was reminded of quite a few places I have been in VT with the craftsman styling and the over all decor. I would agree- not a place for young kids, especially with the windy stairs, but great for older family. As it is still cold out, they weren't able to use the outdoor shower, but it looked nice! My family found having the washer and dryer available to be very handy. The small garden was starting to bloom, and at night they sat out and grilled dinners, which was another plus. With the new Hummock Pond bike path, it is a nice walk to the brewery and farm. The only thing we couldn't figure out was how to use the speakers in the ceiling...Would love to stay here again!

Nantucket; everything you need

  • 5 of 5

My family's stay at Kathleen's house was perfect. The place was spotless upon arrival. We were greeted by the owner who took the time to walk us through all the details of our living space for the 10 days we were there. All the stuff you need but take up tonnes of space in the car, like beach chairs, umbrellas, cooler and towels are at your disposal. The location was very practical, close to everything. A 10 to 20 minute bike ride from either the town, Bartlets Farm ( best produce you can find) or beaches ( Surfside was the most fun..HUGE waves but lots of people! ).

We would suggest that you bring your car even though the ferry ride is costly and long and must be reserved many months in advance. Sometimes a quick trip to the "Wine Cellar" is better by car. If you like to cook, the kitchen is superb. and easy to use and cooking in is a lot less expensive than dinning out.

A return visit is 100% certain. A real hidden gem in an environment of total relaxation. Thanks for the memories, with many more to follow.
