Casa Ermita is a traditional, Canarian villa with 92 m² living space and two bedrooms, located in the town of Los Silos in the north of the island, near Garachico and Icod de los Vinos. From the roof terrace you have a beautiful view of the sea and the mountains.

Only 200 m away from Casa Ermita there is a beautiful swimming area with a 50 m seawater pool and a paddling pool for non-swimmers and toddlers. Sunbeds and umbrellas can be rented for a small fee. Open from Easter to the beginning of November. If you arrive at other times and still want to swim, you can choose between the heated pool at the golf course of Buenavista (15 minutes by car) or the public indoor swimming pool in Icod de los Vinos (20 minutes by car).

A good restaurant with sophisticated cuisine can be found in the Hotel Luz del Mar (next door to Casa Ermita). Various local restaurants with predominantly Canarian cuisine are within walking distance.

In Los Silos itself, there is the 'La Escuela', an excellent pizza and pasta restaurant (open only Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, each from 19 clock). The best pizza on the island (some say it's the best pizza in the world) is at Rugantino in Garachico (behind the football stadium on the right (also open from Friday to Sunday only). Be sure to try the Rugantino.

A small grocery store is just 80 meters from the house. The center with the Plaza and its shops and banks can be reached in 20 minutes on foot. A larger, modern supermarket (Alteza) can be found on the outskirts of La Caleta on the way to Garachico (on the left shortly after Cepsa gas station). It's only five minutes by car.

Sport and freetime:

Hiking: Casa Ermita is the original starting point for various hiking opportunities along the coast towards the east or west and in the nearby mountains of the Teno mountains. Some mountain hikes are demanding on sometimes steep paths. The easy and beautiful hike along the coast to Garachico takes just over an hour. If you have a backpack with you, you can buy it well on the way back halfway in the ALTESA supermarket, which has everything: fresh bread, fresh fish, meat etc.

Fishing and Fishing: Fishing on the coast is very popular. The diving school 'Centro de Buceo' (only 100 meters away) also offers fishing trips.

Diving: The diving center 'Centro de Buceo' offers diving courses and diving tours (including cave diving).

Golf: The planned by Severiano Ballesteros golf course in Buenavista (10 minutes away by car) meets the highest standards. Cheap green fees in the morning (Sunrise Rate) and in the afternoon (Twilight Rate). On request, we will provide you with a ladies' and gentlemen's set for a refundable deposit of € 30 per set.

Tennis: Just around the corner from Casa Ermita there are two beautiful artificial turf pitches that you can hire for a small fee by the hour (even under floodlights in the evening).

Fitted kitchen with fridge incl. Freezer, oven, ceramic hob and dishwasher. Also: toaster, coffee maker, kettle.

Living room with dining area for four people. Modern flat screen TV in HD quality with German and English satellite programs (Freeview) and Spanish television. Large terrace and brick barbecue.

On the ground floor there is a toilet with sink and in the same room a washing machine. Laundry can be hung on the roof terrace to dry.

From the roof terrace you have a beautiful all-round view of the sea and the mountains. Here you can also linger ideal for sunbathing.

Los Silos is a living place. The Plaza and the local cafeteria are the center of the village. Here locals and tourists meet for a chat and enjoy the atmosphere. On Sunday mornings, a farmer's market takes place in the Plaza.

The nearest beach is only a few 100 meters away, but not suitable for children and non-swimmers. Playa San Marcos (safe family beach, so suitable for children) at Icod de los Vinos, about 15 minutes by car, or Buenavista (only in the summer months) are other options. The Buenavista beach is not suitable for children.

Los Silos is the perfect place for a relaxing and active holiday away from the tourist strongholds of the South.
