The gleaming pool and deck are kept in pristine condition. Immaculate pool tiles and the surrounding patio area make for a ready-made Vacation HQ, no matter the age and makeup of your group. Wide steps allow for easy entry and the pool furniture and sun beds are generously appointed. The screened lanai is surrounded by lush vegetation and tall trees, providing unrivaled privacy.

Indoors, natural sunlight pours nonstop through large windows, warming the home’s terra-cotta and ocean blue accents. Terrazzo tile was made for this kind of property - casual elegance for happy feet with a great tan. The neutral color scheme suits all tastes. Most rooms boast cream walls with classic white trim.

The living room’s large tile fireplace is an enticing feature in front of massive, comfy blue sofa and arm chair. A corner TV and wireless Internet, plus any board games you bring from home, equate to hours of memorable family time. Prepare your morning coffee in the fully equipped kitchen and step outside to enjoy the breeze from Roberts Bay.

Twelve guests will sleep comfortably in the home’s four spacious bedrooms, while numbers eleven and twelve have a high-end sleeper sofa to call their own. And, our house is also only a 6 block walk along the tree lined Venice Avenue to the beach. Plus, we've just added high-speed Internet for guests who bring their laptop.

Or, walk to the Venice Pier and Sharky's Restaurant to enjoy the sunset, or enjoy a morning walk of approximately twenty blocks. In and around the beach area, you’ll find many water-sports and tour operators, as well as famous Sharky’s restaurant. At night it comes to life as the city’s favorite live music venue. If traveling with pets, treat them to a day at Brohard Paw Park and they’ll wag tails in gratitude.

The front of the house is pretty ugly

This place is an absolute dump!

It is really unfortunate that the photos on the VRBO site make this property look nice. It is anything but. In fact, we called VRBO immediately upon arrival and requested to be placed in another home. While they weren't able to relocate us until the next day, they did relocate us to a much better home (smaller but clean and safe). Here is the laundry list of things that were wrong with the house: Smelled like mold, carpets and walls were filthy, heavy ceiling vent was falling out of the ceiling (dangerous), fireplace had a sign that said "do not use" likely because it was almost falling out of the wall, kitchen was tiny and looks nothing like the photos, washer and dryer were rusted through and dirty, bathroom sinks were clogged and standing water was sitting in them, bathroom shower was missing part of the plumbing (could see straight through to the pipes), bathroom doors were bi-fold wood with slats that you could see right through so no privacy, enclosed pool is a joke as all of the screens were shredded and orange construction tape up in there place, TVs were all decades old, towels were dirty, the veranda area was covered in overgrown foliage and unusable. The best part was the room set-up (a joke). It took us 25 minutes to find the 4th bedroom and we found it only after going back to the VRBO site and re-looking at the photos of this house. It is basically through another small bi-fold door that looks like a linen closet in the master bedroom. So whomever sleeps in that room has to walk through the master bedroom and bathroom to get there. This house should not even be on VRBO as it represents them very poorly. The only positive thing about this house is the location as it is within walking distance of downtown Venice. Even so, my recommendation is "don't waste your money."

Terrible Management, Terrible House

DO NOT RENT THIS PROPERTY OR ANY RUN BY THIS MANAGEMENT COMPANY. I don't even know where to begin. The house was covered in a layer of grime, the toilets had mold, all the light bulbs were burnt out, and it looks absolutely nothing like the pictures. The back fence is broken, all the screens are ripped and the bathrooms are in disrepair. I rent houses throughout the country and this is atrocious. The management company was absolutely terrible and so far no situation has been resolved in 30 hours. I had to buy cleaning supplies and clean myself because It was uninhabitable and buy light bulbs and change them myself. I will be seeking legal advice. This was not the property that was advertised.

Very Disappointed!!

To begin with there is false advertisement. It states the house sleeps 12, and there is a sleeper sofa. The same sofa in the pics is the one that was there, and it is NOT a sleeper sofa. The house looks as if was falling apart. We had issues with the power (which was not their fault), however it did ruin some of our electronics and the company never asked about our stuff. Then the king bedroom remote would change the channels but would not power on/off tv, so we had to climb in a chair to operate the tv. The room that is the mother n law suite is advertised to have 2 queen beds, but is actually 2 full size beds. Upon arrival the living room blinds were damaged and the screen around the pool was damaged in numerous places, we did contact the company and they sent someone out that was already aware of the issue. The fence in the back yard was down and had been for months now. The shower knob in one of the bathrooms broke off, which cause some water leaking all over the bathroom and some of our stuff, to their credit they did send someone to fix it, but it was at 11pm at night and took a hour to fix with lots of banging noises. The toliet seat in the other bathroom did not fit the toliet and that shower had minor issues as well. The dresser in one of the rooms had broken drawers and made it tough to use when getting clothes. I was very confused on the departing laundry request. I did however wash the towels but left the bed sheets to be washed due to the high cleaning fee, I figured that was not our job. Don't get me wrong we made the most of this vacation and tried to stay there as little as possible, but it was very misleading advertising on their part. It also stated they had board games for your family to enjoy, there was a deck of cards. Chairs by the pool were also broken. I'm sad that it wasn't the beach home we were hoping for.

Three Weeks in Early Spring

The house is well situated and a short walk to downtown and slightly longer walk to the main Venice Beach at the end of Venice Avenue. Nice pool with excellent heating system. Arrangement of rooms is excellent except for the fourth bedroom that has been converted from a carport. That bedroom has its own outside entrance and access to the master bathroom. However, to get to the living space and kitchen, the only inside route is through the master bathroom and then master bedroom. Not great. Two other bedrooms with shared bathroom are directly off the living space. Decor is typical for a rental house (which is not great), but beds and other furniture is relatively comfortable. Kitchen is small but adequate. Inside of the house was very clean, but needed general maintenance (loose toilet seats, etc.) Outside, the yard was a mess, but after a call to the company, the overgrowth and dropped leaves from trees were cleaned up immediately.
