Located AT THE TOP of the Diamond Head Beach Hotel, this penthouse unit has panoramic views to the east (Diamond Head) and to the west (Waikiki), not to mention the ocean, mountain and park views. Some have likened it to a crows nest due to the outstanding views.

Why Jan Davis chose Diamond Head - Kapahulu - St. Louis

There is no nicer place on earth than the Oahu Gold Coast with the Pacific Ocean, Kapiolani Park and Diamond Head Crater all at your doorstep. This is a neighborhood with a real community feel. People use the park for family picnics and daily exercise like Tai Chi and Yoga. There are only three hotels in this area. About half of the Diamond Head Beach Hotel residents are here only part time--having half of the units empty contributes significantly to the quiet, neighborhood feel.

The weather is generally 80 degrees, the ocean is clear and inviting, the trade winds gently blow, and the local cultural & ethnic diversity is enviable. Where else can you have all of that and still be in the safety of the United States with immense military presence?

PLUS Kahala Mall is really close and has everything one needs in life (Whole Foods, California Pizza Kitchen, Apple Store, Macy's and the Movie Theaters). No need to be stuck in traffic.

Leave your cares and car at home. Take the elevator to the ocean and enjoy a soft salt-water dip in a calm clear blue ocean. Renew your commitment to health with a walk around Kapiolani Park. Relax in the shade of our palm trees with gentle trades and the mesmerizing ebb and flow of the Pacific ocean (see my video). Walk to the Waikiki Aquarium, the Honolulu Zoo or the International Market Place in Waikiki. Savor the flavors of excellent food and fine dining in our ocean front neighborhood restaurants.

AND, in my guests' words my unit is "squeaky clean, stylishly decorated, efficiently and thoughtfully laid out."

This was the second time that we have stayed in this condo. Love the location - just a brief walk to Waikiki, great view of Diamondhead, Kapiolani Park, and the beautiful ocean. The condo is is bright and clean with parking available (for additional fee.) Sunsets, with a glass of wine, were especially enjoyable looking over the ocean from the wonderful shared patio and yard. Several restaurants were within walking distance as well as a well stocked minimart. A/C was not usually needed with refreshing ocean breezes. Aloha and mahalo to the owner!

Great view of the ocean, whales and Kapiolani park and sweet sound of the ocean at night! Amazing front yard, very peaceful environment and a nice get away from the hubbub of Waikiki. The suite is lovely, just as is Jan. Jan is wonderfully accommodating, attentive and flexible, mahalo Jan. Excellent family beach half block away. The bed and bedding are dreamy, very comfortable and very clean as is the entire suite. No need to rent a car, just taxi, uber or bus. Could not have asked for a better place to wind down and prepare to return to the mainland from a 14 day Hawaiian baby moon Vacation including island hopping and lots of activity.

Great location - away from the bustle of Waikiki but just a stroll away. Our favorites were the view of Diamond Head, the trade breezes that floated through and the lovely bars and restaurants nearby.

Perfect location and beautiful condo

The penthouse condo was just like the pictures show. You feel like your up in a treehouse with the unobstructed amazing view on each side of you. The finished are updated and well selected. The kitchen was set up with everything we needed and the condo was extremely clean. The beach is a short 2 minute walk and it’s the best on Waikiki! Owner, Jan, is very helpful. We would absolutely stay here again.

My husband and I were very happy with Jan's place at Diamond Head. The penthouse has wonderful views of the ocean, Diamond Head and Honolulu. Jan helped us to navigate our stay even before we arrived to her beautiful penthouse.

The condo has outstanding views and is perfectly located if you want to be walking distance from Waikiki, but far enough away from all the tourists. The condo itself had everything the two of us could need on our Hawaiian get away.

On the water and across from Kapolani Park where the Ali'i (royalty) used to spend their weekends at the polo fields, this park is now home to lots of locals doing healthy activities like soccer games and evening concerts at the Waikiki Shell. The Waikiki Aquarium and Honolulu Zoo are a short 10 minute walk away and a hike around and up Diamond Head will be calling to those who want an aerobic workout!
