Nestled within a quiet village just a 2 minute walk to an incredible unpopulated white sandy beach. The home is a traditional cottage like the earliest settlers of Spanish Wells would have lived in except with modern amenities. The cottage is equipped with a balcony to enjoy the cool summer breezes and a glimpse of the ocean. There is a large private back yard for relaxing after a full day at the beach. The theme of the home is 'All things Nautical'. You will feel like you are a part of the Sea while enjoying a different ocean theme in each room. Life Is a beach in Spanish Wells and our promise to you is 'You will come as our guest and leave as our Family'.

Anyone can rent you a house but it is always the people who make the biggest difference and It all starts with the Owners and your host who can't wait to make your stay an incredible memory.

Sun, Sand and Surf : The white sandy beaches are unmatched anywhere in the world and every where is your own private beach.
The water is crystal clear and more marine life than you can imagine which makes for fantastic snorkeling or diving. You can even learn the skill of spearfishing if you are up to the challenge or cast your fly for the world famous bone fish. If you just want to drink some fresh coconut milk and eat some awesome fresh fish right out of the ocean into your pot, you have found the right place. The sunrise and sunsets are unobstructed and a must see for every visitor.

Transportation : Getting to the Island is a fun part of the total experience.
Plane, Taxi, Water Taxi and Golf Cart all in one trip.
The airport is North Eleuthera ( ELH) and flights arrive into North Eleuthera from Nassau or Miami and Ft Lauderdale. Once you arrive at the North Eleuthera airport you will travel by taxi to the Genes Bay dock.
Here you will take a water Taxi across to Spanish Wells. Once you are on Spanish Wells, there will be someone there to escort you to Aunt Marjories Cottage where you will meet your Hosts Roy and Linda Pinder.

The cost of transport is approx $25.00 for the Land Taxi and approx $6/person for the water Taxi.

Then You will Enjoy Your Golf Cart that is included with your rent while you are on the Island.

I had a wonderful 3 week stay at Conched Out! The house was just as described and shown in the photos. I spent most of my time on the porch! Beds were comfortable and Roy and Linda are just lovely. Having been to Spanish Wells many times, I would definitely rent this house again! Oh, and it comes with a great buggy - bonus!

Perfect get away

This was our first time to Spanish Wells and definitely won’t be the last. The house was centrally located and easy to walk to the beach or local bar/restaurant, Budda’s. It was well appointed and cozy. Golf carts are the primary form of transportation so the one included was great. Saved the money of renting one separately.

Home away from home in Paradise!

The house was clean, well maintained & stocked with everything we could possibly need. Beds, linens & towels impeccable. Roy & Linda were gracious hosts & provided local foods for us upon arrival; so appreciated after traveling. The neighborhood is peaceful & house just minutes from a beautiful beach. The back yard is beautifully landscaped with ample seating & a grill for cooking out. We can't wait to go back. Would recommend to anyone.

Perfect week

Roy and Linda were the perfect hosts. Their cute Bahamian house provided everything we needed for a relaxing and adventurous vacation. Roy was always around for anything we needed giving us tips about anything we asked. Roy even brought us a coconut cream pie from the church bazaar and Linda baked cookies for our son’s birthday. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.

LOVED!

Roy and Linda made everything easy! They took care of getting us from the airport in North Eleuthera to the front door of Conched Out. They were warm and welcoming. The house itself was super convenient to the beach and to any other place you wanted to be on the island. It was fully stocked and very comfortable. If we ever make it back to Spanish Wells, and I think we will, we will stay here again!

What an Amazing Find

Having no idea what toi expect being a first visit, this could not have gone smoother. From the great communication to the giant hug when we landed on the dock, the whole trip was made so much better by having this house and the owners near. We love Roy and Linda as they are so friendly, helpful and gracious. The house was perfect and exactly as described. We wanted for nothing. We cannot wait to return.

Linda and Roy are fantastic. They arranged our pick up from the airport all the way to the home. Make sure to reserve an outing on the boat with them- that was our favorite part of the trip! Spanish Wells is very small but super safe and friendly. If you’re looking for a laid back vacation with lots of beach time, this is your destination. I can’t imagine a better place to stay on the island. The home is comfortable and well stocked with everything you’ll need. Perfect Stay!

Love this house! This is our second time staying at Joe and Linda's. This is the perfect cottage. Great location, and wonderful owners. Linda had a nice meal waiting for us - a crawfish casserole, beans and rice, slaw, and Johnny cakes and guava jam. I love the layout of the house. One bedroom downstairs, and two bedrooms upstairs, so plenty of privacy. Nice backyard, and there's a kayak and paddleboards, too, although we didn't take them out. As Joe says, not goodbye, but see you next time! We will definitely be back. Great price, and wonderful hospitality!

Best Place Ever!

I would recommend this property to anyone. The hosts are two of the greatest people that you will meet. Linda met us at the doc and when we arrived at the cottage there was fresh crawfish salad, rice and beans, and Johnny cakes. Roy came over to welcome us as soon as he returned from his charter. We did a half day charter with Roy, swimming with pigs, turtles, and star fish. Swinging on swings in the middle of the ocean, and digging sand dollars on the sand bar. Better hosts you’ll never find. The cottage is great, two minutes to the beautiful beach. This was our second stay and we will be back again.

Relaxing Paradise!

From the time we were greeted so warmly at the dock by Linda to our final goodbye to Spanish Wells, our entire week was just perfect. It couldn't have been easier to have our golf cart included, the location is truly 2 minutes walking to the gorgeous beach, the cottage was perfect, prettier than the photos show...Linda and Roy both were amazing and fun hosts. We chartered Ray's boat for a half day and Linda joined and it was such a great day. Roy brought us to where we could see king conch, we saw a dolphin, met the friendly sea turtles, saw huge starfish and snorkeled with beautiful fish....and sand bar is possibly the most beautiful place I've ever seen. We can't recommend this cottage enough if you're looking for a laid-back, relaxing vacation in paradise!

Exactly what I wanted and needed

This original island cottage is charming and very comfortable. The hosts Linda and Roy live next door and are kind and delightful. They provide excellent and up to date information on all topics relevant to Spanish Wells. Roy met me at the dock in a golf cart and when we arrived at the cottage Linda had prepared a terrific crawfish salad for my lunch. The cottage is quiet and has a nice front porch, deck off the second floor, and backyard perfect for barbecuing. I didn't need ac or even the ceiling fans but they are there if you need them. The prettiest beach on the island is only two blocks away. I highly recommend this cottage.

What a dream!

From the first messages with Dylan through the final drop off at the ferry, we had the BEST experience! Spanish Wells has a piece of our heart and we will return again. We were welcomed into the Pinder family as if we have known them our whole lives and we are so thankful. From arranging our transportation, to the warm welcoming, to the boat charter with Roy, the friendliness of literally everyone we encountered, and the ease of getting around in a golf cart...it was simply the best! There was nothing that we lacked and it was great to have a house to call our own for a week. We have two young children and they too loved every minute of their stay so I would highly encourage other families to visit too. Thank you so much to the Pinder family, we will see you again soon!

Our stay on Spanish Wells, Bahamas

We had a lovely stay at “Conched Out” cottage. The cottage is a traditional island style painted in bight Bahamian colours which makes it so inviting. We had hot sunny weather but the cottage was air conditioned and comfortable. The kitchen had a large stove and refrigerator with large size washer and dryer facilities. The three bedrooms were very comfortable. The main bedroom downstairs had a nice size ensuite and there was a second full bathroom upstairs for the two bedrooms there. These bedrooms had individual cooling systems. There was also a deck off the upstairs hallway and the views of the setting sun were beautiful. Roy and Linda, the hosts, who live next door were so helpful and kind. We had a wonderful 5 day vacation on Spanish Wells.

We loved our first stay in Spanish Wells

We brought our kids for a 10 day family vacation to Spanish Wells. We had an amazing time. Roy and Linda were wonderful hosts and it was nice to have them next door in case we had any questions. They were very, very sweet to us and our kids. The house was well stocked with plenty of beach towels, gear for the beach, a few things we forgot (aloe) and a nice washer and dryer. The kids loved using the paddle boards and taking rides in the golf cart. There's a beautiful beach about 2 minute walk down the street. Roy let our daughters use an extra bike. The kid's also liked being right near Buddha's to walk over and order fries. Overall, we were very happy with everything and made some incredible memories. I would love to return to Spanish Wells. Thank you so much to Roy and Linda for your hospitality and kindness.

Roy was born and raised on Spanish Wells and Linda was born in a settlement not too far away named current. We both love to meet new folks and entertain. Roy sings and plays the guitar when he is not working as a commercial lobster fisherman and Linda takes care of the home when she is not preparing fabulous meals for their guests

Why they chose this property

Roy and Linda have always lived next to this property and this is where they started their married life together. The previous owner was a sweet lady named Mrs Marjorie. This is where it gets its name. After Mrs Marjorie passed it seemed only natural to keep the place in the family.

What makes this property unique

We consider all of our guest as our family. Since the property is close to our primary house, it makes it convenient to take care of our guests.
