Best Location in Big Bear!! Walk to the Village and the Lake

Bedrooms 2
Half Baths1
Property type cabin
Minimum Stay 2 - 3 nights

About the property

Cabin, 2 Bedrooms + Convertible bed(s), 1.5 Baths, (Sleeps 4-6)

Enjoy a terrific location within walking distance of the lake and Village from this beautifully remodeled 2 bedroom, 1.5 bathroom cabin. Decor features include gleaming hardwood floors, river rock fireplace, cathedral ceiling with wood paneling, spacious kitchen and a new bathroom that looks like it came from the pages of a designer magazine. Enjoy the flat panel TV while relaxing on the large sectional sofa. Relax in the sparkling hot tub on the patio. Free wireless Internet and a telephone are provided for your convenience.

Each bedroom features a Queen sized bed with charming mountain style log beds and there is a Queen sized sofa bed in the living room.

There are open lots below, in front, and behind which gives you the feeling of space and the outdoors. Most houses in Big Bear are built very close together.

Of course, it’s fully equipped with pots, pans, dishes, silverware, glassware and everything you need to cook a full meal. This cabin sleeps 6.

There is another cabin on the same property with an equally nice remodeled interior that sleeps an additional 4 persons so your group of up to 10 persons can be accommodated.

During the winter when there is heavy snow the road and driveway gets icy and slick like most places in Big Bear. Please make sure you are familiar with driving in the snow and have chains if you have 2 wheel drive.

About The Owner

My wife and I live in Los Angeles. We love getting away to the mountains. We want other people to be able to enjoy our place as well.

The Owner purchased this cabin in 2007

Why The Owner chose Big Bear Lake

It is two hours from Los Angeles where we live. It is easy to get to, and it is so nice to have the mountain air and the blue skies so close. We love the outdoors and there are so many things to do in Big Bear.

What makes this cabin unique

It is really nice that you can walk to the water and all the restaurants in the village. The shopping is getting better and better. There are two movie theaters and a bowling alley in walking distance. I would guess that there are at least 10 restaurants in walking (no more than 3 blocks) from our house.

Had an amazing weekend staying a Johns cabin. I had some friends visiting California for the first time and chose bug bear as our destination. The location of the cabin is absolutely perfect walking diatance from everything we did and the conscience store at the end of the drive way was amazing too. John was extremely accommodating and available to us the entire trip with great recommendations and info on all things to do . The cabin was easy access decorated very cozy and the hot tub was a huge plus. I’ll never shower the same again because his steam shower was life changing .

Great location!

  • 4 of 5

This house was clean and big! Located steps away from Big Bear Village shops and restaurants! No clear view of lake but still nice, just off the street but amazingly quiet. We were there in the summer so did not take advantage of the hot tub. We had some issues with the Wi-Fi, other than that, we would recommend this house to anyone wanting to enjoy Big Bear.

The rental was in a perfect location. Walking distance to both the beach and the Village Shops. It was very clean and exactly what the pictures reflected.

Fantastic location and very well appointed mountain home

  • 5 of 5

The entire experience was an absolute pleasure. John, the owner, couldn't have been more hospitable. The house was very clean with a great layout and list of amenities. My family love the house and location. We will definitely be returning for more visits. Thanks again John.

Best, Charles McDaniel

Super awesome, perfect location!

  • 5 of 5

The cabin itself suited our needs perfectly. The house is nice and cozy, and the location can't be beat! We walked (in the freezing cold rain) to dinner one night, and lunch the other two days. We have a three year old and 5.5 month old so we didn't venture out to the slopes, but they were so close. The property also has a nice little grade to it so it lent itself to just the right slope for "sledding" on our discs with our kid(s). And the market/liquor store that is literally a two minute walk got a lot of our business. John was a very responsive and attentive host, especially when a little mishap took place. He followed up appropriately and was a joy to interact with. We had never rented someone's home and didn't know what to expect, but this experience made us feel comfortable about doing it again. Thank you.

PS: The BBQ place that is also a 2 minute walk is AMAZING! The brisket is soooooooo good.
